The code-like mark embedded on the weapon glowed a faint grey light, he inspected it carefully.
After a few minutes passed looking at it from all angles, the mark on his arm suddenly glowed.
This sudden occurrence felt eerie, something felt off to him.
"T-this doesn't happen normally, i've never heard of Helm Riders having a mark, nor the Helm suddenly popping out of nowhere."
"Does the gods favor me? Do they resent me? No! gods have never interfered with humankind. It was unheard of, Not even churches who worship them were helped nor blessed."
"The god's only gift was the Helms, but it is still a fraction of their power."
Something that shouldn't happen, happened to him, this made him suspect if the gods were monitoring him.
That suspicion is impossible, of all the people on the entire planet. He was chosen to be monitored by the gods.
"No, it's impossible, it must be that no one has ever unlocked the full potential of the Grey Helm. Most Grey Helm Riders are just workshop owners, Not a single one of them were strong physically."
"There was no mention of that grey gem, That must be what unlocks a Grey Helms true power."
The faint glow slowly disappeared, he looked around but there was no sign of changes.
"Hm? What could that glow mean?"
After wondering about it for some time he brushed it off, thinking it must have been just hallucination.
"What time is it? I should probably go back home, Mother might worry"
He left the basement and spotted his uncle sharpening a sword, Blaverisk noticed him and stopped his work.
"Hey kid! Come here for a second, Got something to talk with ya"
He walked toward Blaverisk and sat down next to him.
"What is it uncle?"
Blaverisk spoke to him "Kid, I know it's hard losing someone you loved, But that doesn't stop you from chasing your dreams. I've felt such a feeling when your father, my only brother died"
"Yet, I never gave up, I continued our dream alone, then I became a master blacksmith"
The encouraging words given by Blaverisk made Vyrel tear up, yet it also encouraged him to keep moving forward.
After a while, he left the smithy and made his way to his house.
With his Helm on, he noticed something different about the people he looked at.
There was a faint silver-color that seemed like their nervous system, every movement they made changed the direction of the flow of the glow.
But he can only see this silver-like color when he focuses his ether on his eyes.
After observing person after person, he almost ran out of ether. He stopped after reaching the road straight to his house.
"Mom! I'm home!" He shouts as he knocked on the door
Kaelis his mom opened the door "Son, I've heard the news about your friend Arthur"
"It's fine mom, He died heroically, he stopped that fiend of a helmed bear"
His mother hugged him "I'm sorry for the loss of one of your friends Vy"
"Thank you mom, I'm kinda tired. May I go to room to rest?"
"I see, Go to your room and rest, and when you wake up. Eat the food on the table"
"Okay mom!"
He went straight to his room and took off the Grey Helm.
"Huff! Huff! That was exhausting, Observing a lot of people that much on a single night caused almost all my ether to run out"
"But this sudden new power must be because of that faint light on my mark"
Sweat falling off his face, he lies down the bed and slowly drifts to sleep.
The moment he fell asleep, his consciousness drift into his mental world.
"Ugh! My head hurts! Why'd I always get here when I'm mentally exhausted?"
The mental door was big as ever, But this time, there was a purplish orb floating around in the distance. Curious, he approached the floating orb. When he was close to the orb, the orb reacted and glowed purple.
"Huh?! W-What's happening to the orb?"
Suddenly, the orb were gone. He looked everywhere and spotted it in the distance.
"Huh? I'm pretty sure it was here before"
He approached it again, and when he almost reached the orb, it suddenly glowed again and vanished in front of Vyrel.
"W-What? That annoying orb! once I grasp you in my hand, I'll bounce you up and down!"
After 5 hours of exhaustingly chasing the purple orb, he has finally gotten hold of the orb, the glow faded away.
Then suddenly a quest board like screen appeared in front of him, it was not like the screen he saw before, it's now purple in color and it's much detailed.

"Hm?, When did I get an hyena's hide? Anyways, how do I take the orb out?"

the orb popped out of the inventory screen, it's glowing in purple and it has traces of pure ether, but Vyrel can't sense what a pure ether is.
"Ohhh, That's a cool looking orb! What is it's use anyways?"

"Whoa! This is interesting, alright! ABSORB!"
The orb of creation turned into tiny particles and headed to Vyrel's Helm, "Ohh!"
"Huh? Ugh! W-what's happening to me? M-my consciousness! I-it's fadi---"
Vyrel have already exhausted his body from observing people, and when he chased the purple orb for 5 hours straight. The absorbing of the orb of creation only made it worse, He exhausted himself to the verge of extreme fatigue.
He woke up exhausted, and hungry. He ran to the table and ate the food prepared by Kaelis his mother. The food was cold but it was still delicious to the taste.
Because of the sweat he took a bath after he ate, while taking a bath, he felt something odd about the same cold water he takes everyday. He equipped his Helm, yet another mental pain occurred to hi.
After a few minutes of struggling the mental pain, he fully equipped his Helm, and checked the water. He noticed the water has weird patterns flowing with it, he suspects that this is probably because of the orb of creation.
"Huh... is this the effect of the orb of creation? That's a weird effect, I wonder if I check other things, would it also have a different glow?"
After a while, he finished bathing he walked towards his room, but on the way there. He saw Kaelis, but there was something odd with her. Her lower back near the pelvis were glowing purple, she spotted Vyrel and spoke to him about the water being dirty and contaminated.
"Oh! Good morning Vy! Did you take a bath already? I forgot to mention to you that the water is dirty, The chief announced earlier that there was a loose monster near the water tanks. I think the monster contaminated the water or something, but don't worry it's harmless to the skin, but don't get drink it"
Vyrel spoke to her "What? Again? This happens once in a while. Also, mom, is your back alright?"
Kaelis was surprised to hear Vyrel saying that. "Hm? Ah yeah, My lower backs sometimes aches, but don't worry, it's just strain from work. Also, How'd you know?"
"Haha! I just noticed you slouching a little, Anyways, I gotta go mom, I need to go to uncle Blaverisk's smithy!"
After changing clothes, he went to the smithy, but he took a detour to see other objects that glows purple. After reaching the market, he too a glance of one of the displays in the broken pendant section.
"That broken pendant! it's glowing purple and gold! What is that?"
He talked to the merchant selling the broken pendant and asked how much for the broken pendant.
"Hey sir! How for this broken pendant?"
The vendor replied "Oh this? it's just a piece of junk but for you I'll give it for just 50 copper plack. How about it?"
"50 copper plack? lemme check my savings, Shoot! I only have 35 copper plack left! Uhh hey sir? can I take it for 35 copper plack?"
"Hm, Yeah sure kid, it's worthless to me anyways"

After paying for the broken pendant. he checked on what causes the gold and purple glow. He noticed that the rope was glowing purple, but the gem is glowing a bright golden color.
T-this golden glow! this is the same color as that dagger!
