Chapter 21 - CHAPTER 21:Love in silence

Raghavan frowned as he held the phone to his ear.

"I don't recognize this voice… Who is this?" he asked, glancing at Pallavi.

A chuckle echoed from the other end.

"What, Raghava? Forgot me already… Adithya."

For a moment, time froze.

Pallavi's body went stiff.

Adithya.

The same man who had tried to kill Raghavan.

The same man who knew far too much about their research.

But Raghavan… he didn't know any of this.

He spoke casually, unaware of the danger.

Before he could say anything further, Pallavi rushed forward, snatched the phone, and cut the call.

"Pallavi? What happened? Why did you do that?"

Her voice trembled as she told him everything—about Adithya, the attack, and the truth he didn't know.

Raghavan sat in silence.

"So… he was the one behind that accident…" he muttered. "But why does he hate me? Only Thatha would know that…"

Confusion consumed him.

He sat there, lost, carrying a weight he couldn't bear.

Seeing him like that broke Pallavi's heart.

After some time, she brought him food.

"Eat something."

"I'm not hungry," he replied.

But she didn't listen.

"For me… please."

He hesitated.

"If you don't eat, I won't either. Will that bring Thatha back?"

That was enough.

Raghavan slowly took a bite.

"You eat with me," he said.

They shared the meal quietly.

Exhausted, Pallavi leaned on his shoulder and drifted to sleep.

Morning came.

The advocate called them to the jail—Mahadevan was ready to meet them.

They rushed there.

When Mahadevan appeared, Raghavan stepped forward.

"What's happening, Thatha?"

Pallavi added softly, "We don't understand anything…"

Mahadevan looked at them both.

"You already know fragments of the truth. Soon, you'll know everything."

Then his voice turned serious.

"Listen carefully. You must leave this place immediately. As fast as you can."

Raghavan shook his head."No. I'm not leaving you."

"You must," Mahadevan insisted. "For me."

Reluctantly, Raghavan agreed.

The advocate gave them an address.

They left immediately.

But on the way—

They were being followed.

"A private army…" Raghavan muttered. "Same group from that night."

Another group appeared from the front.

Gunfire erupted.

But suddenly—the group chasing them was attacked by a third party.

Raghavan and Pallavi were rescued.

Confused, they were escorted into a private jet.

After a long journey, they landed in the middle of a dense forest.

A hidden runway.

A heavily guarded mansion.

They were taken inside and placed under tight security.

Pallavi looked around, uneasy.

"Everything happening around us… it's strange. And you—what you did that night… that wasn't normal."

She turned to him.

"Tell me the truth, Raghava."

He took a deep breath.

"Since I saw Atlantis… something changed. I hear strange sounds in my head. It feels like something is… breaking inside."

He continued,

"Once, I collapsed. Someone admitted me to a hospital. A psychologist—Dr. Varghese—examined me. He gave me tablets and told me never to skip them."

"I took them regularly… until the day Thatha was arrested."

His voice lowered.

"That day… I didn't take them."

"And what happened next… even I didn't expect."

Pallavi stared at him in disbelief.

"You hid all this from me?"

"I thought it would go away…"

She shook her head, hurt.

"I'm not angry you hid it… I'm hurt you faced it alone."

Tears filled her eyes.

"Promise me… no more secrets."

Raghavan nodded.

"I promise."

Soon, the advocate arrived.

"These people protecting you—they're part of Mahadevan's private armed force."

He explained everything.

About the past.

About the enemies.

About the unknown years Mahadevan had disappeared.

"Now… powerful international groups are searching for him."

Before they could ask more, he left again.

Later, Pallavi sat on the balcony, watching the forest.

Elephants gathered near a water stream.

The sunrise painted the sky gold.

She smiled—this was her peace.

Raghavan joined her.

"I want to see this forest," she said softly.

He didn't reply immediately.

After a while, he held out his hand.

"Come."

They walked deep into the forest.

At one point, he covered her eyes and guided her forward.

"Ready?"

When she opened her eyes—

She gasped.

The same elephants.

But now, up close.

The same sunrise.

But more beautiful than ever.

Overwhelmed, she held onto him tightly, caught between joy and fear.

They returned.

Raghavan turned on the TV.

Breaking news flashed.

"Mahadevan… has died in a helicopter crash."

Silence.

Raghavan's hands trembled.

"This… can't be real…"

He called the advocate.

"It's true," came the reply.

Pallavi took the phone, desperate.

"Sir—please—"

"Stay where you are. Don't move," he warned.

Tears fell from Raghavan's eyes.

The earth beneath him felt heavy.

Pallavi couldn't accept it.

Without another word, Raghavan grabbed her hand and left.

They rushed toward a boat.

But before they could escape—

They were intercepted.

Captured.

Taken onto a ship.

Raghavan tried to fight back—

But was struck from behind.

He collapsed.

They tied heavy stones to his legs—

And threw him into the ocean.

"RAGHAVAN!" Pallavi screamed.

Her voice broke.

"They wanted him," one of them said coldly. "He's gone. Lock her up."

Underwater…

Silence.

Darkness.

Death.

But then—

He opened his eyes.

Moments later—

Raghavan stood before Pallavi.

Alive.

Unharmed.

"Raghava…?" she whispered.

What followed was beyond human.

With lightning speed, he eliminated everyone on the ship.

Then—

He lifted her.

And flew.

Yes.

Flew.

Pallavi couldn't believe what she was seeing.

Raghavan… was no longer human.
