Chapter 3 - Null Sovereign : Awakening of Black Thunder

The last time my dad surprised me, it turned into an attack. I was trying to unlock my power, and somehow, it activated by mistake. At first, I thought it was normal just my ability. Black and purple thunder… no, black thunder.

But there was nothing about it in any book I had read.

I even found a book that listed all known powers, yet there was no mention of anything like mine. Maybe the author forgot or maybe this power has never existed before.

Only my dad knows about it. But I don't know how to ask him directly.

Wait. I have an idea. I'll ask him indirectly about my "brother's" power.

Father's name: Gloures

"Hey, Dad," I said in a childish tone.

"Yes, my son. What is it? Did your brother annoy you?"

"He wouldn't… I just wanted to ask something."

"Something? About what, my son?"

"I saw brother attacking you during training. That was training, right?"

"Yes, my son. What happened?"

(I know it was you and maybe you know too. Or maybe you really don't.)

"Dad, what kind of power was that? I want to know its name and what it does."

"Son… I'm sorry, but I don't know anything about that power. It's strange. Truly strange. I've never seen anything like it.

It's unique maybe your brother maybe ( you are the only one who has it. )

"Oh… it's okay, Dad. But it's powerful, right?"

"Not much for me," he said. "But for someone of a lower rank… and at this age… yes, it is strong."

(This power is terrifying. Even with armor, my chest still hurts… and you're only five years old. How is this even possible?)

"Okay, Dad. See you. Take care."

"You too, my son."

My dad doesn't know about my power… I can't believe it. Does a power like this even exist?

I need to train.

This place is perfect wide open space, trees stretching far into the distance. A good place to focus.

My hands begin to shake. The power starts building again. I can't fully control it yet, but I try. My hands burn as black lightning gathers around them. I can feel it… not just the power, but something more.

It feels like I can move at the speed of lightning.

Let me try.

I shoot—and run.

Whoa…

After just four steps, I feel completely drained. But for a moment… I understood it. My body, my movement—even my atoms felt like they were in sync with the motion.

I want to try again.

I still have stamina left, but my body is exhausted. If I push past my limits now, it will be dangerous. I'm only five years old.

This power is… overwhelming.

Wait.

Someone is watching me.

"Learn to hide your presence," an unknown voice whispered. "One day, this carelessness will cause a big problem for us."

I froze.

"Did I really hear that…?" I muttered.

No… I should focus.

Basics first—speed, then control, then power.

Far away, my father watched silently.

This power… even a fraction of it could wipe out an army. And a child possesses it. When he grows… what will he become?

I'm not even from this world.

My body is… but not my mind or my soul.

That's why I'm different.

I've learned something: basic attacks consume stamina and mana. But my black thunder… and even the purple one… are on a completely different level.

When I combine them, a single attack drains all my mana.

Speed also consumes a huge amount of energy.

So I need to train—my stamina, my mana, my body… everything.

What if I combine all my powers at once?

Will my body handle it… or break?

Maybe my mana is being used in ways I don't fully understand. Maybe my magic itself doesn't even follow normal rules

There were legends of the Primordial Gods—ancient beings who existed before the world itself took shape. Many were said to exist, but only four had ever been revealed.

Among them, one stood above all—the God of this world.

He was not chosen for his power alone, though he possessed enough strength to rival—even surpass—the other three Primordials.

No, what set him apart was something far rarer.

Kindness. Humility. Compassion.

That was why he became God.

But there were also beings who could have claimed that throne… and refused.

The Null Sovereignty two brothers whose names were whispered like a curse and a prayer.

The younger brother, Leardo, was destruction incarnate.

The elder brother, Ortis, was his complete opposite a protector.

Long ago, when the world was still ruled by kings and power defined worth, Leardo descended like a calamity.

He crushed kingdoms.

Overpowered rulers.

Shattered armies as if they were nothing.

Even the God himself watched in silence.

Then… Ortis appeared.

No one expected it not the kings, not the people, not even the God.

The two brothers clashed.

A battle so overwhelming that the skies trembled, the earth cracked, and reality itself seemed to falter. It was not just a fight it was something beyond understanding.

Even the God was… shocked.

When it ended, Ortis stood victorious.

He had the power.

He had the right.

He could have taken the throne.

And yet

"I am not here to rule," Ortis said calmly. "I am here to protect this world. So… be at ease."

At first, many believed it was an act. A performance to gain trust. But after years of observation, one truth became clear:

He truly meant it.

Meanwhile, Leardo disappeared, leaving behind only his final words:

" I m forgiving you we're not the strongest yet "

That brief clash alone was enough to remind the world why they were called Null Sovereigns.

…but that was just a story.

Or so I thought.

A voice echoed behind me—different from the one I had heard before.

"So… you're the one who possesses the black and purple thunder."

I froze.

The voice continued, calm but observant.

"After seeing your eyes, I'm certain… there's something more. Something even you don't understand yet. But your potential… I can see it clearly."

My heart began to race.

Who… is this?

Gwenos : I had heard rumors.

People nearing something called Mythborn.

Secret cults trying to reshape the world itself.

If that was true… then I needed to grow stronger.

Not just for myself—

But to protect my family.

Or maybe… to change this world.

Another voice suddenly appeared, light and amused.

"Hmm… interesting. You're an amazing guy. I like you."

A second voice responded instantly, sharper.

"Oh? So you like him?"

"Hey are you? The **** ! And how did you get here?!"

A soft laugh echoed.

"If you like him… then why?"

"His ability. His strength. His presence… it feels like he can do anything."

Silence.

Then—

"I'm going to kill this child."

My body stiffened.

"Don't even dare touch him,"

-don't even dare to touch him

A chilling laugh followed.

"Try and stop me. I'll cut him down right here."

The air grew heavy.

Something… was about to happen.

And I had no idea if I was strong enough to survive it.
