As the sun rose, and the birds sang the entire neighborhood was silent. Not a noise in the block, no one is awake at 6 in the morning, no one except Teddy and Joshua, they were running around in the backyard, chasing each other with sticks. Teddy ran into the Forrest next to their house and Joshua had no choice but to follow him. As they ventured deeper and deeper into the forest they soon couldn't find each other, Joshua looked through the deep brush and behind every tree but still couldn't find Teddy. As he walked deeper and deeper he heard a crinkle in the dry leaves, "Teddy, Teddy can we go back now I don't like this", called Joshua. No response was heard, he walked deeper and deeper, then Teddy jumped out, with his stick, scaring joshua. "Ow, fuck, oh that hurt, damn it Teddy", said Joshua, Teddy looked down and the saw the stick was going right into Joshua's stomach. The stick had gone two inches deep into Joshua's flesh. Joshua cried, and Teddy called for help, but they were to deep into the forest for anyone to hear them, Teddy picked up Joshua and carried him half way home, until he had to take a break, "owwwww, it hurts so bad, damn it Teddy" cried Joshua, Teddy picked him up again and walked home and went right inside. Joshua's moaning and sobbing woke up their parents before Teddy even got the chance to call them for help. Their mom ran down stairs, "what is it, what's wrong, what's wrong", she cried. As she got to the bottom of the stairs she rushed over to Joshua to see what was wrong. As she got over she looked in horror to see a footlong stick plunged three inches into Joshua's stomach. She looked over at Teddy, and screamed, "what the hell happend". Teddy broke down in tears and told her everything, how he jumped out and scared Joshua, and how he accidentally stabbed him with the stick. As their father walked down the stairs, still dizzy form getting drunk the previous night, he looked at their mother and asked, "what happed", their mother replied "Teddy accidentally stabbed Joshua". Their father's eyes filled with rage, he was about to let loose. He stared down Joshua for five seconds then walked over to him, he grabbed him ask tightly, and as Teddy was still crying about what he did his father dragged him into the kitchen, and threw him at the counter. He pulled out his belt, folded it in half and swung. Teddy woke up in his bed, he looked up and stared at his wall. He didn't know what had happened, he didn't remember, then he felt a jolt of pain rush into his back, he screamed then cried. He slowly got up and looked in his mirror, to see lash marks running down his back and arms. He stood there and looked at himself, and sobbed. He went down stairs to look for Joshua, but he was nowhere to be found. Then he realize he was in the hospital. So we went up stairs and out on shoes, and ran outside. As he ran down the street he felt every ounce of pain in his back and arms, he sobbed as he ran. As he was running he realised he had no shirt on, he forgot it. A man stopped him and asked if he was ok, and told him he needed immediate treatment for his marks, "please come inside you need help, what happend" asked the man. Teddy responded "my dad hit me" with tears in his eyes. Then he continued to run, after four miles of running, he made it to the hospital, we walked inside and went to the front desk, "I need to see my brother, where is my brother" yelled Teddy. The receptionist replied, "sir you need treatment for your back, sit down and we will take care of you". Teddy cried hard, "where is my fucking brother, his name is Joshua Marcus Hudson, take me too him". The nurses finally complied with him, and they took him to teddys room. They opened the door for him, and he walked in to see his brother laying in his bed, but he still had a smile on his face. He looked over to see teddy, "oh my gosh, what happend" asked Joshua in a concerned tone. Teddy looked over at his father with a black expression on his face, the his mother, who was on the verge of tears, then he looked at Joshua and whispered, "I'm sorry" in a heavy and weak voice. Then he passed out and landed next to Joshua's bed, the nurses rushed in, and Joshua now began to sob, he looked over at his father, he had a nervous facial expression, "WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO" yelled Joshua.
