"Roughly a month ago, a pack of outside orcs launched an assault on the city. They have attacked several times now, and even though we drive them off every single time, they just keep returning," Wayne explained.
"Why are they targeting us? Are they trying to kidnap females?" Euphoria questioned.
"Most likely. Only the desire for females would drive them to raid another city," Wayne noted.
Euphoria recalled that when she first arrived, the locals mentioned there were no rogue beastmen around. Could these attackers be raiders from a distant region?
It seemed highly probable that they would strike again, but this city was heavily fortified, and there were far too many local warriors for the enemy to easily break through.
