Cherreads

Chapter 11 - 11. Jade City.

This discovery was still a bit shocking but Jason decided not to think too much about it right now.

Instead, he redirected his gaze down to the life skills and combat skills available to him, but since he couldn't view what each skill was capable of doing, he could only hope both skills would be worth having once they've been unlocked.

As for the soul plane acquisition, Jason wondered what the system meant by that, but since he couldn't be certain exactly what it meant and what it would do, Jason could only place a pin on it for now.

Now, the next detail on the system was of huge interest to Jason because based on what he knew about this world, Jason was certain that everyone, be it awakened male or female, were capable of having only one ether or mana path, but right now, staring at him, was the option to actually acquire a new ether path, different from the one he already had.

It meant that he might actually have the chance of awakening an ether path suitable for only Dual Cultivators.

So, how was this not an amazing and cool discovery?

Jason grinned internally but decided to wave the screen away for now.

Looking back, a lot had happened today and even Jason could barely keep up with everything that had happened so far.

Not only had he fully regained his previous life memories, he had also managed to awaken his class whilst acquiring his own agent as he makes his way towards the guild he'll be registering in.

But as if that wasn't enough, he had also awakened a subclass that would allow him to summon beautiful ladies who would easily be forming a party around him as he streams his daily activities and adventures in towers and gates.

All these sudden realisations made him feel like the universe was simply throwing one event after another his way, making it difficult for him to fully focus on one.

*Sighs.*

Jason sighed softly before looking out of the train window.

Meanwhile, Rachel lifted her head from her book and noticed the look on his face. "Is something wrong? You've been staring at the window for a while now."

"It's nothing. I'm fine. I was just thinking about something."

"Thinking about what?"

"About how my first day here is going to be."

Hearing this, Rachel's cute ears instantly perked up and she realised something she hadn't told him yet. "Oh right. About that." She muttered as she turned a page in her notebook to list out the things he would be doing.

"You won't be doing much today. Our first objective is to get you into the guild. Then I'll get you acquainted with the guild master."

"The guild master?"

"Yes. Her name is Margaret. She'll be in charge of the orientation you'll be having tomorrow."

"What will the orientation be about?"

"Nothing much. It would just cover the rules of the guild, the way missions are structured and probably how you'll be able to receive your licence as an official member of the guild and hunter of the city. Oh, right after that, your physical assessment training will be carried out in the afternoon. We don't really need to do this since we're not really a combat class, but since it's standard procedure for all guilds, ours has to partake in the customs as well."

Jason nodded in response before asking. "So, what would the assessment be about?"

"Just some simple tests which can be difficult or stressful depending on if you were a fan of P.E classes while you were in school."

"Not really." Jason replied swiftly.

But Rachel giggled as she noticed the look on his face, which seemed like Jason had suddenly recalled something unpleasant. "Well, don't think too much about this assessment. You might even like it once you see what you have to do."

"Will I be assessed to see if I can heal pets?"

"Yes you will. But you'll also be assessed to see if you have an affinity toward telekinesis as well, since these two ether paths are what most Pet Tamers acquire affinity for in this guild."

Jason nodded in understanding but wondered if he had already acquired any other ether paths aside from the Body Enhancement Path he had already unlocked.

Well, since he wasn't certain yet, Jason didn't want to waste his time thinking about it.

And so instead, Jason swiftly redirected his focus back to Rachel.

"Is there anything else I'll need to know about the guild before we get there?"

"Yeah. The Pet Guild is a really small guild, so everyone knows everyone within the guild. It's completely different from other guilds having more than a hundred hunters within them. Here in the Pet Guild, we're a small group of people and I'm sure you'll like them because they're really nice people and they always seem to stick up for each other." Rachel explained and Jason nodded in response.

"Is there anything else you would like to know?"

"Not really. Thanks."

"You're welcome." Rachel beamed excitedly before returning her gaze back to her notebook.

It was easy for Jason to see how excited she was right now to be answering all of Jason's questions, because of how her tail wagged happily behind her.

The vibe around her was completely different from all the other serious-looking agents Jason had seen earlier today.

As for Rachel, the young lady was just so happy to be having her first client and that's why she was already working on so many ways she could make her client extremely happy and pleased with her.

And so, once again, she buried her attention in her notebook, writing down a few things Jason couldn't see.

Jason noticed how hard she was working right now and he couldn't help but smile before returning his gaze back to the window.

Looking out the window, Jason could see that the fresh green fields in front of him were completely different from the ones he had seen back in Mossveil Town.

Right now, they were currently approaching the outskirts of Jade City and the first thing Jason noticed were the small buildings within the outskirt parts of the city before noticing that the bigger and taller buildings were fancier than any other house he had seen back home.

However, that wasn't all because for the first time ever, Jason finally set his eyes on the terrifying towers he had heard so much about.
