Chapter 28 - Chapter 28: I'm Telling You to Roll

The Dream Combo never expected that their opponent would appear inside the shield.

This was the worst possible situation.

They had essentially trapped themselves.

The Fox Spirit Master fell first—defeated in a single exchange, with no ability to resist.

The remaining Fat Cat Spirit Master immediately surrendered.

There was no point continuing.

One opponent was already overwhelming—let alone the one who hadn't even made a move yet.

He even suspected that the ability to bypass the shield came from the man in the back.

Otherwise, how could someone be that well-rounded?

The referee was momentarily stunned before finally announcing the result.

Amidst the cheers, Lin Xian and Zhu Zhuqing left the stage, registered their victory, and collected their reward—30 gold coins.

"Let's head outside the city today. We've got a tail following us."

"No problem."

Despite heading out of the city, the two walked at a leisurely pace, as if enjoying a casual stroll.

Behind them, Dai Mubai's expression was extremely unpleasant.

Were they mocking him?

And that brat…

Touching her waist, holding her hand, leaning close…

It was unbearable to watch.

After confirming no one else was around, Dai Mubai stepped forward and blocked their path.

"Yo, not playing with those two 'Kuns' anymore? Out here to walk your bird?"

At first, Dai Mubai didn't understand.

Then he remembered what Lin Xian meant by "Kun"—

His face darkened instantly.

"White Tiger Possession!"

A tiger's roar echoed.

His body grew more muscular, and the faint 'King' mark appeared on his forehead.

"Miss, you should stay away from this trash."

"At the Spirit Arena, he's nothing but dead weight."

"He doesn't even dare face me directly—only knows how to run. What kind of man is that?"

"My Spirit is the White Tiger, one of the top attack-type Spirits. I can feel that your Spirit shares the same origin as mine."

"If we cultivate together, we could complement each other… we might even achieve a Martial Soul Fusion Skill!"

"Together, we could break through to Titled Douluo and make our names known across the continent!"

By the end of his speech, even Dai Mubai seemed moved by his own words.

"So, beautiful lady… may I invite you to admire the moon together?"

He produced a rose and held it between his teeth.

A confident, flirtatious gesture.

Zhu Zhuqing looked at him.

Then, coldly—

"Scram."

...

Dai Mubai froze.

His entire performance collapsed in an instant.

"Hahaha!"

Lin Xian burst out laughing.

"Clown behavior."

"You've really outdone yourself."

Dai Mubai's anger exploded.

"I was speaking to her—who are you to interrupt?"

"Aren't you just hiding behind a woman?"

"In the arena, you stayed in the back—saving yourself so you could run, right?"

"A man like you is nothing but—"

Before he could finish—

A chill brushed his neck.

Zhu Zhuqing's claws hovered a hair's breadth away from his throat.

Dai Mubai's body stiffened.

His legs trembled.

For the first time—

he felt death so close.

"If you look at me one more time… I'll gouge your eyes out."

Her voice was ice-cold.

Dai Mubai immediately lowered his gaze.

"Scram."

Hearing it again—

he felt relief instead of anger.

He had survived.

"Thank you for showing mercy, miss. If you ever need—"

A flash of black light.

His words cut off.

A lock of his blond hair fell to the ground.

Dai Mubai collapsed, breathing heavily.

This woman…

She truly intended to kill him.

If there had been even a bit more distance, he could have reacted.

But her speed—

was too fast.

He had to leave.

Revenge could come later.

Life came first.

Just as he was about to get up—

Lin Xian stepped forward and crouched beside him.

That gaze—

cold, dismissive—

as if looking at garbage.

"Weren't you acting tough just now?"

"If you're weak, train more."

"If you can't handle it, don't show off."

"Some things aren't for you to touch."

"Trash should know its place."

Lin Xian stood up.

One hand in his pocket, the other pulling Zhu Zhuqing close.

Looking down at him—

"A good dog doesn't block the way."

"Now… roll."

Dai Mubai's fists clenched.

His nails dug into his palms.

He was furious—

but helpless.

He stared at Lin Xian, memorizing his face.

He would remember this.

He would grow stronger.

And one day—

he would repay this humiliation a hundredfold.

For now—

he endured.

As he got up to leave—

Lin Xian's voice sounded again:

"Didn't you hear me?"

"I told you to roll."

Dai Mubai's face twisted.

But in the end—

he curled into a ball—

and rolled away along the roadside.
