Mike reached out, his large, calloused hand cupping her chin with a firm, possessive grip. He forced her head up, making her meet his gaze.
His eyes weren't filled with sympathy; they were filled with the satisfaction of a conqueror.
"Look at you," he murmured, his thumb tracing the line of her lower lip, which was still trembling from her outburst. "Did you even realize how much you're shaking?"
"You're absolutely starving, aren't you?"
"All this time you've been playing the sweet, innocent girlfriend, but deep down, you know the truth..." Mike laughed. "Ren isn't enough for you..."
"He's too gentle, too careful... He doesn't know how to truly break you, does he?"
"He can't satisfy that hunger that's been driving you to buy toys that could rival his own size."
Haruka felt the sting of his words, but the dam had already broken. A frantic, manic energy replaced the shame.
