Lucian bent down on one knee and looked up at the young lady before reciting the words "For the lessons I have learnt. For the knowledge you have given. As long as thread this path, you shall remain my master" he pledged.
For a second, Lucian thought he saw what looked like a smile streak across the young lady's face briefly before her regular serious face came back.
"And you shall remain my disciple" the young lady replied. "On your feet" she added and Lucian stood up.
"We had a deal, remember?" Lucian said, looking at his master expectantly.
"Freya. But you'll call me Master unless you I tell you not to" Freya said. "Yes master".
"Take a break for now. The interesting part of your training begins tonight" Freya said before walking away.
Lucian stood at the spot, watching the retreating back of his master.
It's been almost four months since he began his training and his master has taken him through hell. Sometimes he wondered why such a powerful young lady was living in isolation from the rest of the world. With her beauty and strength, he believed the kings and emperors will start wars just to have her as a wife.
After training, Lucian went to the nearby river take a bath. Because of how hot the sun was, he decided to soak in the river for a while. The whole area was quiet and it gave him the peace to relax.
A few minutes later, he heard the splashing of water coming from ahead but decided to ignore it. It was a mountainous area, occupied mostly Otters so he assumed it must be an otter trying to cross.
The splashing went quite for a few minutes and came back back. It kept happening continuously and Lucian decided to investigate. He moved through the water quietly heading towards the direction the sound came from. A few seconds later, Lucian raised his head and met the back of a woman with long black hair. Half of her body from her waist downward was covered underwater with only the upper part of her back revealed. Her skin looked so clear and beautiful, as though millk has been poured over her body. Lucian who had been caught off guard kept staring until he heard a voice. "I remember I stated clearly that you don't come close the the falls" Freya said.
"For-Forgive me master, I didn't know you were here" Lucian said amd immediately turned his back to the woman. "Did I tell you not to come anywhere closer to the water fall or not" she asked.
"You did" Lucian replied before adding.
"But I've never been here before master, I didn't know the water fall is here" Lucian replied.
"Doesn't change the fact that you have broken the rules. You can't escape punishment" Freya said and added. "Now disappear"
Lucian didn't wait for a security bf amd hurriedly made his was through the water to where he had been bathing earlier.
He got his cloths and dressed up and made his way to the residence.
He knew that since his master has said she'll punish him, she surely would.
His only hope was that she will have a little mercy and not put him in the sun like a barbecue and fire arrows at him. But for now, he decided to focus on preparing their food.
When Lucian finished the food, he went over to his master's room and knocked before telling her food was ready. Even though no reply came, he knew she heard him because this was how they have been living since she brought her here.
A few minutes later, they both sat down on a small dining table Freya had taken from thin air, probably from her storage ring. Lucian waited for her to talk about what had happened Ib the afternoon but nothing came until they both finished eating.
But then before she was about to leave, she turned to Lucian and said something. "Your training has been postponed. Come to my room when you're done with everything. Your punishment is waiting" Freya said before walking away.
