Wrapped in a violent dark energy, with nothing more than glowing red eyes and a demonic, overlayed voice, they laughed at the confusion of both Saiyans and Angel.
"My name is Oblivion, I've come in peace." Placing their shadowy hand upon their chest, they bowed respectfully, though Vegeta wasn't one to take their word for it. "Cut the crap! What the hell do you want?! And how did you find your way here!"
Goku stepped up beside Vegeta, also curious, though he was quieter and observing. Same with Whis.
"You see... I've come to invite you two into a Battle Royale, involving the strongest warriors across space and time. It has fighters from various other timelines, universes, and dimensions, and it takes place on Planet Apex, far beyond this world."
Goku's smile faded, not completely, but enough to show his excitement, yet curiosity.
"…Across space and time, huh?" He muttered with his eyes locked onto the figure. "That sounds exciting! You mean we get to fight other strong fighters!?"
Vegeta stepped forward, grinding his boot down in anger.
"Don't play dumb, Kakarot! This reeks of a trap."
"Now now." Oblivion's distorted voice echoed like multiple beings speaking at once. "If I wanted to harm you, Prince Vegeta… I would not announce myself so politely."
"Interfering with time." Said Whis, staring at the shadowy figure in disappointment. "Nothing good can come out of this."
"Well, I refuse to participate in your stupid Battle Royale. Do you take me to be some kind of fool?"
"Aw, what a shame." Said Oblivion, now facing the other Saiyan. "What about you? I'm sure the mighty Son Goku has something else to say about this matter."
Goku stepped up, holding onto the belt wrapped around his gi with a smile.
"Count me in!"
Vegeta widened his eyes, snapping his head toward him.
"Kakarot!?"
"What?" Asked the Saiyan, lifting his brow. "This is a good chance to test my limits, and I'm not gonna waste this opportunity, Vegeta!"
"You blabbermouth idiot!"
"So it seems the mighty warrior of Universe Seven wishes to shatter his limits once again. How truly predictable." They snickered, amused by everything. "This is why you'll always stay one step ahead of Vegeta, Son Goku. You aren't afraid of a challenge."
Vegeta frowned, uncrossing his arms. "What was that?!" He shouted, balling up his fist.
"Are you too afraid? Scared of meeting a warrior who's perhaps stronger than Jiren?" Asked the shadowy figure, provoking the Prince.
"This Oblivion person… seems like trouble." Whis stared at them, now keeping his cup of coffee afloat in midair. "Goku, Vegeta, if you wish to participate in this 'Battle Royale', they call it, I'd advise you to go prepared. Take the things you'll need."
Goku looked at Whis with wide eyes, now checking his gi for a pouch.
"Oh yeah, I did grab a pack of Senzu Beans from Korin not too long ago. It should be somewhere on me…" He patted himself all over, until he found it tucked under his belt. "Ah, here it is!"
"And will that be all?" Asked Whis.
"Yup! This should do the trick. Ehehehe! Besides, what else would we need?"
"Perhaps a new brain would benefit you." Muttered Vegeta, annoyed.
"Alright then." Said Whis, sighing under his breath. "I will inform Lord Beerus about these matters. Do watch out for trouble."
Goku gave a quick thumbs up, as if he were heading off to spar down the road instead of stepping into something that was taboo.
"Got it, Whis!"
Vegeta scoffed, though his eyes never left Oblivion.
"Hmph. As if I need any warnings."
Oblivion's red gaze flickered between them, amused.
"How reassuring. Confidence… pride… recklessness. All essential qualities for what awaits."
Goku tightened the strap of his belt, lightly tapping the pouch of Senzu Beans against his hip.
"Alright then! So how do we get to this Planet Apex?"
Oblivion slowly raised a hand as space itself was folding around them.
"With a simple Magic trick." They said, engulfing their bodies in a dark aura.
"Hey, what the hell is going on?" Shouted Vegeta, feeling himself paralyzed.
"C-Can't move!" Said Goku, grinding his teeth.
"And Abracadabra!"
Both of them suddenly vanished in the blink of an eye.

[Somewhere on Planet Apex]
Surrounded by a rocky wasteland with large stone cliffs, a canyon, and no signs of life, was a body lying unconscious. They appeared to have a tail with battle armor fitting for a Saiyan.
They even had long hair similar to Goku.
The wind blew violently, pushing tumbleweeds along a linear path until his eye finally twitched. Feeling sand blow in his hair, and small rocks hit his face, he slowly opened his eyes, staring up at the sky.
"…Huh… where am I?" Their voice sounded feminine, fitting for their androgynous appearance. "Wasn't I holding my own against Frieza a moment ago?"
Slowly sitting upright, they held their head in pain, closing their eyes.
"It feels like my head's about to explode." All he could hear was the howling wind, and rocks skidding across the ground. Everything felt lifeless. "…Wait!" Widening his eyes, he jumped to his feet, despite his wooziness. "Where is everyone else? I have to protect them from Frieza! How long was I out?" He stumbled on his feet, though he kept himself upright. "…Damnit, all my power feels sapped out of me. What's going on?"
"Kyaaaaaaaaah!" All of a sudden, a loud, bloodcurdling scream came from behind, echoing across the canyon. "I can't believe this is happening! I can't believe this is happeninggggg!"
"What the?" Turning around, the Saiyan could see three little people running for their lives. One of them was a blue-looking imp, the other a young girl, holding onto a giant egg, and another was a talking dog, with a purple hood and kimono. "…Those aren't Saiyans?"
"Mai, you idiot, drop the egg before that thing eats us!" Shouted the blue imp.
"It's the only thing we have to eat!"
Shu kept running behind them, agreeing with Mai.
"M-Mai's right! We haven't had anything to eat in days!"
"I'd rather die than be eaten alive by a dinosaur!!"
The Saiyan could only stare in disbelief.
"Uhhh, what the hell is going on here?"
