Chapter 18 - Chapter 18: Hunting Xenomorphs

Even Lilith felt her scalp go numb at such numbers.

Lilith knew the Arena Mode would feature a large number of Xenomorphs, but the quantity appearing this time far exceeded her expectations.

After a brief scan of the surroundings, Lilith split her mouth into a grin, revealing her grim Fangs.

"Perfect. With such numbers, gathering enough Xenomorph Gene isn't impossible for me anymore."

Under her Ultrasonic Detection and Thermal Vision, none of the surrounding Xenomorphs could hide; they were crawling along the corridors or lurking in the shadows, every move monitored by Lilith.

The terrifying assassination skills of these Xenomorphs lost all their deterrent power against Lilith's Ultrasonic Detection and Thermal Vision.

Lilith didn't let the urge to hunt cloud her judgment and immediately begin the slaughter.

Her powerful limbs stepped onto the cold stone floor, creating heavy echoes while skillfully avoiding the trap-triggering flagstones.

Based on the terrain information from the ultrasonic feedback, Lilith moved her massive body cautiously through the corridors, eventually reaching a relatively open and spacious domed hall as her intended battlefield.

Her body was too large, and this Pyramid was intricate, filled with numerous narrow passages and traps; reckless movement could easily lead to getting trapped.

What she needed to do now was hunt the Xenomorphs while mapping out the Pyramid's layout, then leave the Pyramid after the Xenomorph Queen broke free from her chains.

Only in the unobstructed open area outside the Pyramid could she push her advantages to the limit.

By then, the threat posed by the Xenomorph Queen would be greatly reduced.

As Lilith began her move, a large number of Reincarnators and Hunters were arriving one after another throughout the Pyramid.

Those who dared to choose the Arena Mode naturally possessed absolute confidence in their own strength.

Inside a narrow corridor filled with Xenomorph-style reliefs, the air distorted, and a human male in modern combat fatigues appeared abruptly.

With sharp eyes and swift movements, he showed no panic despite being in a dangerous new environment, immediately beginning to check his equipment.

An exquisitely designed Desert Eagle pistol and an AK47 assault rifle equipped with tactical accessories.

These weapons were all exchanged for a significant amount of points in the Main God Game's mall, providing them with the confidence to step into this place.

After the man quickly organized his gear, the surrounding light and shadows flickered repeatedly as four more men arrived one after another.

A faint scent of blood wafted from these men; they organized their equipment with practiced ease, handling and dismantling firearms with a proficiency far beyond that of ordinary people.

They were all Reincarnators who could form teams freely, which was a huge advantage for Reincarnators compared to Hunters.

The leading man, codenamed Blood Wolf, scanned his assembled team members and spoke in a low, raspy voice.

"Everyone, follow the plan. Find the weapons first."

Unconcealed greed flickered in Blood Wolf's eyes.

In this Arena Mode, the most precious treasure wasn't the rewards for hunting Xenomorphs or surviving for three days, but the Iron Blood Warriors' weapons hidden throughout the Pyramid.

Especially that powerful Shoulder Cannon; such an energy weapon, capable of automatic target tracking and delivering a lethal blow, would mean an early end to this cruel survival game once they got their hands on it, given the team's firepower and coordination.

As for whether humans could use the Shoulder Cannon, since the Main God Game had placed such items and provided relevant hints, they couldn't just be decorations.

Blood Wolf speculated that at most, they might need to find a matching Wrist Console for control and binding.

If the plan worked perfectly and they equipped the Iron Blood Warriors' weapons, they might even attempt to kill the Xenomorph Queen!

As the undisputed boss of this movie, the rewards for killing the Xenomorph Queen would surely be unimaginably bountiful, enough for the entire team to achieve a qualitative leap!

On the Blue Star after the arrival of the Main God Game, if one didn't take risks, they would forever fall behind others.

So, they decided to go big this time, aiming to increase their settlement score as much as possible and obtain a devastating weapon like the Shoulder Cannon... Meanwhile, in another damp corridor, a brawny man nearly two meters tall suddenly arrived.

He was shirtless, with knotted muscles under his bronze skin, as if harboring explosive power.

Before the burly man could even take a close look at his surroundings, a dark shadow accompanied by a foul wind pounced from a pipe overhead, its lethal tail stinger aiming straight for his head! It was a Xenomorph that had been lurking for a long time.

However, this sneak attack, which would have instantly killed an ordinary Reincarnator, was like child's play to this Hunter.

He didn't look up, but his movements were faster than the Xenomorph's.

Before the Xenomorph's stinger could reach him, an arm thicker than an average person's thigh shot up like lightning, his fingers gripping the Xenomorph's smooth, hard skull with the precision of iron pincers!

The Xenomorph struggled violently, its tail lashing frantically at the man's chest, but he caught it easily.

"Hmph, bug."

The man let out a disdainful snort, his arm muscles bulging instantly as he slammed the Xenomorph's head hard onto the ground!

"Bang!"

With a dull thud, stone fragments flew everywhere. The moment the Xenomorph's hard Exoskeleton made intimate contact with the ground, it shattered.

Almost simultaneously, the man's keen ears caught the sound of more rustling crawls coming from another corridor.

He turned his head toward the deep darkness, and far from being afraid, he split his mouth into a cruel grin, his pearly white teeth glinting in the dim light.

"Come on, you pieces of trash, let me warm up!"

As he spoke, the man's body began a terrifying transformation.

Muscles bulged and writhed like living things, bones made ear-grating cracking sounds, and the man's body was quickly covered in thick, coarse gray-black fur.

His head protruded forward, turning into a hideous wolf's muzzle, sharp teeth instantly elongating as saliva dripped onto the ground.

In the blink of an eye, a tall, muscular, and hideous Werewolf replaced the brawny man, standing in the middle of the corridor.

It threw its head back and let out a low howl, an aura of violence permeating its body.

The darkness did not obstruct its vision; it stared at the Xenomorphs swarming from the corridor with its eerie green wolf eyes, kicked off the ground with its hind legs, and turned into a blur as it charged at them.

With a swing of its claws, the Xenomorphs' hard Exoskeletons were torn apart like paper, and their bodies were sent flying, twitching a couple of times on the ground before falling still.

The man was already tall and burly, nearly two meters tall, but after transforming into a Werewolf, his size reached two meters thirty.

Compared to the Xenomorphs' small stature, he completely crushed them in terms of size.

As long as he was careful of the Xenomorphs' corrosive blood and used the anti-corrosion coating specially applied to his wolf claws, these ordinary Xenomorphs posed no threat to the man in his Werewolf form.
