Chapter 33 - The First Star-Eater

The sky didn't just tear; it hemorrhaged.

The oily substance leaking from the Great Rift was not liquid, but a form of "Non-Existence"—a parasitic energy that began to dissolve the very clouds and light of Earth's atmosphere. As the Aethelgard plaza trembled, a massive, spindly limb, encased in iridescent, insectoid armor, reached through the void. It was the size of a skyscraper, and its touch turned the air into static.

[WARNING: COSMIC ENTITY DETECTED]

[Classification: Star-Eater (Lesser Scourge)]

[True Rank: Tier-9 (Star-Reaper)]

[Note: This entity exists outside the 'System's' logic.]

The creature's "head" emerged—a cluster of thirteen eyes that blinked in non-linear patterns, radiating a frequency that caused every mana-user in the city to collapse, their magic circuits short-circuiting in the presence of a superior predator.

"Grandfather!" Sujata cried out, dropping to her knees as her Amber's Breath sword shattered into a dozen glowing shards. The "System" weapon couldn't withstand the mere presence of the Star-Eater.

Sword-Saint Roy coughed, blood trickling from his ears. "It's... it's a 'Vacuum-God.' We were never the masters of this world, Sujata. We were just the cattle being fattened for this moment."

The Law-Breaker vs. The Star-Eater

Alex Silvester stood at the edge of the floating plaza, his silver-and-gold skin humming. While every mana-user was being suppressed, his Elemental Divinity was reacting with a violent, territorial hunger.

He didn't feel fear. He felt an ancient, ancestral rage.

"You're late for dinner," Alex whispered.

He bent his knees, the reinforced marble of Aethelgard cracking under the sudden pressure.

[ Primordial Path: Tenth Realm — Stellar Rooting ]

Alex launched himself. He didn't use a flight spell; he used the Earth-Root gravity within him to "fall" upward at Mach 5. He became a streak of monochromatic light, piercing the oily mist of the Rift.

The Star-Eater noticed the tiny speck of resistance. It swung a massive, scythe-like limb, intended to reap the "life-force" of the planet. The scythe was made of Condensed Void, capable of cutting through space-time itself.

CLANG—!!!

The collision produced no fire. Instead, a wave of gray, monochromatic force rippled outward, flattening every building in the upper district of Aethelgard. Alex had caught the scythe with his bare forearm.

[STATUS: Extreme Collision!]

[Physical Density: 100% vs. Void Density: 100%]

[Result: Tectonic Lock!]

"You... breathe... emptiness," Alex grunted, his muscles bulging as his Thunder-Core discharged a localized supernova of white sparks. "But I... am... REALITY!"

The Shattering of the Void

Alex shifted his weight in mid-air, a feat that should have been impossible. He used the Glacier-Marrow in his left hand to "freeze" the concept of the scythe's movement, then drove his right fist into the creature's armored limb.

[ Fist of Law-Breaking: Fifteenth Insight — Molecular Erasure ]

This wasn't just a punch. It was the application of Absolute Sovereignty. Alex wasn't hitting the armor; he was commanding the atoms of the Star-Eater's limb to stop existing in his space.

CRACK-SHATTER!

The skyscraper-sized limb didn't break; it dissolved. The iridescent armor turned into gray ash, drifting into the Rift. The Star-Eater let out a sound—a psychic shriek that vibrated through the souls of everyone on the planet.

The creature tried to retract back into the Rift, sensing for the first time in eons that the "harvest" was fighting back.

"Don't leave yet," Alex growled, his golden eyes turning into twin miniature suns. "I'm not done with my tempering."

The Primordial Breakthrough

Alex reached into the wound he had created in the Star-Eater's side. He didn't find blood; he found a core of Pure Star-Essence—the distilled energy of a thousand consumed worlds.

[WARNING: Unknown Energy Source Detected!]

[Type: Celestial Marrow]

[Absorb? YES/NO]

Alex didn't wait for the prompt. He plunged his hand into the core and pulled.

The energy was cold—older than the sun, heavier than the galaxy. As it flowed into his Five-Element Fusion, his body began to undergo its final, most terrifying evolution. His skin didn't just look metallic now; it began to turn transparent, showing a skeleton made of white, pulsing starlight.

[Current Realm Progress: 5%... 12%...]

With a final, explosive kick, Alex drove his foot into the Star-Eater's primary eye. The creature's entire form—the size of a mountain—imploded, sucked into the very vacuum it had used to terrorize the universe.

The Great Rift flickered and snapped shut, the oily mist dissipating as the sun's natural light finally broke through.

The New World Order

Alex descended slowly, landing in the center of the silent plaza. He looked at Sujata and the Sword-Saint. Behind him, the survivors of Aethelgard began to emerge from the rubble, their eyes fixed on the man who had just punched a god out of the sky.

Alex's voice, now layered with a cosmic resonance, echoed across the world's remaining communication networks.

"The 'System' is dead. The 'Architects' have been fed," Alex stated. He looked at his hand, which still flickered with the gray ash of the Star-Eater. "But they will be back. And when they return, they won't find cattle. They will find a Forge."

He turned to the crowds, his golden gaze piercing and firm.

"My name is Alex Silvester. I am the Last Disciple of the Extreme Path. And starting today... I am going to teach you how to break the heavens."
