Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 : Intermediate Wisdom Core Rank One

Fwoosh Fwoosh Fwoosh

An Ice blade swung three times, creating a heavy cold wind. The person who was targeted dodged two times, but the third time it hit the person on his right arm, creating a deep cut. Some blood came out and it left a scar, but the injury froze after a second.

The man first inspected if the wound he received had completely frozen or not, but he was not showing any signs of pain on his face.

"Oh my heavens, you learn really fast Azaska," said the man who got the injury.

"Well, you helped me, what can I say, senior," replied Azaska.

"Don't make me blush, idiot," replied Noah, laughing.

Two weeks had passed since Azaska had created his first Ice Blade. Now not only could he conjure it without any problem, but he could also attack with it.

On the first day, his blade got broken in one shot. Now it lasted at least six to seven hits. He was kind of happy within himself but in a controlled amount.

Also, the relationship between Azaska and Noah improved in the past two weeks. Noah acknowledged Azaska as a worthy student, while Azaska acknowledged Noah as a good teacher.

It was not because of bribes or things like that, but both were like each other in many different ways.

Like Azaska,Noah also had a "don't give a damn personality",so both paired with each other perfectly.

Noah's teaching was superb. He taught Azaska the Ice Blade so that Azaska did not face any problems and perfected its use.

"How did your injury freeze? You never told me such a technique. Well, you have only taught me two techniques till now, but still."

In the previous two weeks, Noah had taught Azaska a new technique which was used for defence and was named "Frost Armor".

Azaska would make a specific part of his body have an ice coating, which would save him if someone punched there or tried to damage him.

"It is called Frost Seal. It is a healing-type technique. It can freeze injuries so that there would be no blood loss, you know. It's a Basic Ice Core Rank Two technique."

Hearing this, Azaska was rather impressed by his senior's fast thinking.

On the other side, George was still a Basic Wisdom Core Rank One and was crafting a Horse Strength Potion in a transparent cauldron. The potion was snow white in color and looked very thin. Some bubbles were forming at the surface of the cauldron. There was also a fire heating the cauldron, melting the items of the potion.

The Wisdom Core was not like that; a person could not make a potion just by sheer will. The Wisdom Core only made a person wiser as the ranks got higher. However, heavens are not so generous; they made a person wiser but lowered physical strength in return.

The future sight the Wisdom Core granted was no different. They could not see the future literally but could calculate and then predict the next moment.

For example, if someone was going to throw a punch at them, they would calculate the velocity and mass of the attacker to dodge the punch in a millisecond.

The potion that George was making required three snake fangs, two maggots, a horse hair, as well as a piece of horse leg tissue. By drinking this, the user would gain faster speed, stronger kicking force, and overall stronger physical strength. It was one of the simplest potions that a Basic Wisdom Core Rank One could make.

Other similar simple potions included Bull Strength Potion and Boar Strength Potion, which would increase the overall physical strength of the person who drank them.

However, other than the strength category, there were healing and vision categories. But his teacher thought the best right now would be the strength category, as his physical strength would drop when he reached Intermediate Wisdom Core Rank One.

"First, stir it counterclockwise for two seconds and then clockwise for five seconds," said George's teacher.

Firstly, George took a long breath and then did as he was told. He stirred the potion counterclockwise for two seconds and then clockwise for five seconds.

Suddenly, the snow white color of the potion changed into a light gray color and bubbles started forming above it.

"You have crafted it perfectly. Well, of course you did, as you have a teacher like me. Otherwise, I am not so sure," his teacher said arrogantly.

"I guess," George replied coldly.

His teacher crossed her arms and said:

"Don't you dare talk to me rudely, otherwise I am going to tell Charlotte."

George sighed as his teacher talked about his mother. No matter what he did, his teacher was still rude to him, and if George said something, she would say something like, "I'm going to tell Charlotte" or "Wait till Charlotte hears about this."

George's mother was a kind but strict woman. She would not tolerate complaints like this. So George analyzed the situation, and when he understood he had no option left, he said:

"I am sorry, Ginny."

"Whatever. What can I say to you? You are rude from your birth."

Saintess Ginny was a Basic Wisdom Core Rank 3 Divine Soldier. She looked like a twenty-five-year-old. She had blonde hair, blue eyes, thin eyebrows, and thin lips. Her skin was fair. She had told George on the first day that she would not tolerate if George said words like "Senior," "teacher," or "aunt," because according to her she was still young, though her real age was fifty.

"Anyways, you should drink the potion that will make you an Intermediate Wisdom Core Rank One, then drink this horse strength potion."

"I don't want to drink this shit."

"Wait till Charlotte—"

"Okay, okay, I will drink it!" said George.

Ginny pulled a drawer and took a vial, which she gave to George. He drank it.

George's core started to shake rapidly after consuming the potion, but he entered his core through his mind and stabilized it perfectly without any problems. Even Ginny was shocked to see that George stabilized his core so perfectly on the first try.

George was now on the same level as Azaska; he had reached "Intermediate Wisdom Core Rank One."

But now he felt a decline in his physical strength. He started to feel weak, but he controlled himself and tried to feel normal.

"How are you feeling?" asked Ginny.

"I am feeling alright, neither bad nor good to be honest," replied George.

"Now you know what to do, right? You have to drink the horse strength potion."

George hesitated at first, but then drank the light gray potion that he had crafted, which would eventually give him the strength of a horse and cover the weakness caused by leveling up as a Wisdom Core user.

Eventually, the weakness he felt disappeared; rather, he felt stronger than before.

"Let's go to the caged room so you can test your kicking force."

George and Ginny went inside the caged room, and there he saw five wooden statues.

George kicked with his lowest strength, and the wooden statue split into four or five pieces.

The physical strength of George had improved at least five times because of the potion.

When he kicked the wooden statue without the potion's strength, it had caused only a mere dent and nothing else.

"It was worth it, right?" asked Ginny.

George nodded, smiling as he kicked and broke the other four wooden statues.

"I feel strong!" said George loudly.

"Well of course you would. It is a strength-type potion, isn't it? And anyways, my physical strength is far superior to yours, so you don't need to show off," said Ginny arrogantly as always.

But this time George did not reply because he simply thought it was a waste of time to talk about such things with her. In silence, there is wisdom.

George analyzed all of the wooden statues and felt proud within himself.

"Hey you, I am talking to you!"

"What's your problem, old woman? Don't make my temper rise. I am done tolerating you, so shut the hell up."

"Oh my God! What did you say? This is definitely going to be heard by Charlotte."

"Do what you want, I don't give a damn about you."

Ginny, hearing this, was almost about to hit George, but then she remembered that if she did such a thing, she would be imprisoned for ten whole years.

Having no option left, she left the classroom crying and muttering something that George did not want to listen to.

Just as Ginny got out of the classroom, a young man entered.

"What's that woman's deal?"

"You know very well, Azaska," said George, laughing.

Even though he was laughing from the outside, he was still scared of the slaps he would receive from his mother if she heard what he did.But George did not take much worry and breathed deeply causing the scared expression inside him die.
