"That does not mean we know how to stop it," Reid said.
"No. But it means there might be a way."
"Based on what?"
"Based on everything we've already seen it fail to control."
He stared at me.
"Again, Reid got out, Rhys. That shouldn't have been possible in the first place. And somehow, while he was trapped there, a link formed between us."
I shook my head. "I'm human. How does that even happen? Bonds between humans and lycans are rare enough already. So how did one form while Reid was trapped inside a curse?"
Rhys watched me. "You sound pretty sure this means something."
"I think it does. And, again, just think about it, the parcel cracked, but the curse didn't get out." I took a breath. "So maybe we keep looking at this like it's the same curse Aldric had. What if it isn't anymore?"
Rhys frowned. "You think curses evolve now?"
"I think ten years trapped with your wolf, Reid being in there, me getting involved... something changed."
