Chapter 4 - {CHAPTER- 3 FUCK YOU IDHANT!}

[Kairav's POV]

You are probably wondering what happened. You are probably wondering why we were running for our lives from a literal mob of furious uncles, and why I got dragged into it.

I warn you right now: don't even ask. Just thinking about it makes me want to commit a murder, and the victim would undoubtedly be my own Kamina twin brother.

*Flashback - 10 Minutes Ago*

Idhant had forced me to follow Inara and the Kankhajuri to the bazaar with him.

And right now, we were doing literally everything but following them.

Currently, Idhant was shamelessly flirting with a girl who was definitely older than us.

"Aapki aankhein badi gehri hain. Mann kar raha hai inme doob jau," Idhant said smoothly, with that ick giving smirk, gently fiddling with her fingers.

The girl was literally blushing.

["Are you made of copper and tellurium? Because you're Cu-Te."]

Eww.

I stared at them in utter disgust. Why was I even standing here? I have free will.

I have my sanity.

"I am leaving," I declared flatly, turning around on my heel to walk away.

Just as I took a step, Idhant's hand shot out and gripped my wrist tight.

"Aree bhai! Ruk ja!" he shouted, making sure I could hear him over the loud, chaotic environment of the bazaar.

["Bro! wait!"]

I glared at him, completely irritated, and raised my other hand to aggressively swat his grip off my wrist.

"Ye sab kya ho raha hai?!" ["what is going on here?!"]

A short, bald uncle suddenly materialized in front of us,

his face red with absolute fury.

The blushing girl's eyes widened in horror. She immediately swatted her own hand away from Idhant's hold and took a massive step back.

"Vo... Papa! Ye mereko chhed rahe thhe!" she accused, dramatically, pointing a trembling finger directly at... us?

["d...d...Da-dad! They were trying to flirt with me!"]

Wait a second.

"Rahe thhe?" {"they?"]

Plural? I didn't even speak to her!

"Esa?!" The uncle's eyes widened in rage, his nostrils visibly flaring like an angry bull.

["really, sweetheart?"]

"Kya?! Ladki ko chhed rahe ho!" ["what?! are you harassing the girl!?"]

"Aree aise kaise?!" ["tsk.tsk. shameless guys!"]

said the people standing around

us.

"Wait, uncle, listen—" Idhant started, his charming smirk instantly vanishing.

"Aree lekin maine toh kuch bhi nahi kiya!" I yelled, trying to defend myself.

But it was too late.

["But I didn't even do anything!"]

People had already stopped to listen.

A tight circle began forming around us. To make matters infinitely worse, her two heavily built brothers pushed through the crowd, backing up her father like literal

bodyguards.

In a matter of seconds, the shouting escalated. Someone threw a tomato. Someone grabbed a stick.

And suddenly, we were being chased out of the street by a literal mob of random uncles, led by that "innocent" girl's father and brothers.

*Flashback Ends*

I was running ten feet ahead of the mob, my lungs burning. Idhant was sprinting right behind me.

As we rounded the corner, Idhant spotted Inara and the Kankhajuri about to get on a black sports bike. Without a second of hesitation, Idhant forcefully bumped his shoulder into mine, making me stumble slightly ahead.

By the time I caught my balance and looked up, Vanshika was standing on the pavement looking completely confused with what-the-actual-fuck-just-happened face.

And Inara was aggressively cursing out loud as she violently twisted the throttle, speeding away with Idhant clutching the back of her jacket.

That little fox!

"I HOPE YOU FALL OFF THAT BIKE!" I shouted at the top of my lungs into the

dust.

"FUCK YOU, IDHANT!"

****************************************************************************

[VANSHIKA'S POV]

As I watch Idhant literally Fly away with MY Darla!

I shouted from behind

"FUCK YOU, IDHANT!" My middle fingers up at their disappearing silhouette.

Someone Synchronized the words with me in unison...

What the fuck? I recognize this voice.

I turned around to confirm it and IT was,

"KAIRAV!?"

Wow he can shout too? Not a good time to wonder about this right now.

A literal mob of wild uncles with long knives and batons were running about ten-feet behind Kairav who was literally drenched with sweat and running with all his strength.

"What the fuck did these twins do to be chased by a literal mob?!" I muttered to myself in an utterly bewildered sight in front of me.

Who cares I am leaving from here.

I thought this just as Kiarav and I made 0.1 second eye contact, and a smirk tugged at my lips, at the sight of him suffering.

'Chalo Kairav ke saath tou achha hi hua' I thought.

['well, whatever happened, seeing Kairav suffer made it worth to watch']

I stepped forward and stretched my arm out to wave a little to stop

an auto.

In 10 seconds he ran past me.

I heard a frustrated, aggressive groan.

I turned my face to look towards him and there he was covering the gap between us in literal two strides.

Hold my wrist with an imposing grip

and

"Auto—! Woah!"

The next second, I felt a sudden jolt through my whole body as someone literally grabbed my outstretched arm and pulled me along with them.

"What the?!" I looked up to see the only bastard who had the fucking audacity to make me run in this

scorching weather!

"KAIRAV!"

I was utterly bewildered.

"Pakdo charo ko!"

["catch the four bastards!"]

Wait…

"Charo ko?!" ["FOUR bastards?!"]

I shouted as I processed the info. I looked around a little, still huffing, my

lungs literally burning as I was being forced to sprint with Kairav, who was running a step ahead of me, his grip tight on my wrist.

Two bikes drove past us with uncles literally sitting on them with batons and long knives!

I turned around—and still, half the mob was literally running behind Kairav ... never mind,

US now.

"Peeche mud kar mat dekh, or bhaag kankhajuri! Varna aaj dono marenge!" He shouted over his shoulder loud enough to make sure I heard his ridiculous warning perfectly.

["Don't turn around to look kankhajuri, and run! Otherwise we both will die today!"]

Pulling me into a full sprint down the street.

"Mujhe kyu lekar bhaag rahe ho apne saath?!" ["Why are you making me run with you?!"]

I shouted at him angrily and trying to to keep up with him as we took a sharp left turn. The whole bazaar was bustling with people.

"Aise hi, or tu apne inn chhote chhote pairo ko tez chala!" he said with a satisfied smile or more like an infuriating smirk on his face. [No reason, and you should focus on moving your little little feets faster!"]

As we dodged a cow,

we got mixed into the crowd,

but they were still following us, looking for us aggressively.

"Aadhe left jao! Aur aadhe right!" ["half go left! and half go right!"]

an uncle with a terrifyingly long knife shouted.

That was the cue.

Kairav suddenly jerked me towards him, taking a few long strides, and

slammed me against the wall inside an alley.

Not even an alley, it was just a small gap between two shops with barely enough space for two people to fit.

My back was slammed against the wall and my wrist was pinned right next to my head.

"What the Hell!? What is going on Kair—!"

And now he clamped his hand over my mouth.

"Shh!" he made the sound, looking straight into my eyes to warn me.

There was literally a millimeter of distance between us. His hair was tousled and wet, and probably mine was too.

The sweat was shining on his face. Adam's apple bobbed as he

gulped. Hard.

I broke the eye contact as my gaze travelled down from his perfectly sculptured nose then, stopped for a single second on his lips and then, finally fixed on his neck observing each and every movement of his neck as he gulped.

…How could someone look so ridiculously hot in this state?

Our breaths were making our chests bump each time we took a breath to steady ourselves.

I barely reached his shoulder, but right now the height difference actually didn't matter. His back was hunched down a little so that he could easily put his hand over my mouth.

At least, that's what I believed.

But why is he looking so... intensely?

"Kahan gaye!? Salee!" ["where did those bastards ran away?!"]

I heard a guy pass by us, cursing, probably holding a baton in his

hand.

I used my free hand to swat his hand away from my mouth, glaring directly into his eyes.

"What is going on Kairav?" I hissed at him, locking eyes with him again, but this time angrily.

He didn't reply.

.

.

"You know? If you hadn't forced me to be stuck here with you I would have been reading 'Twisted Hate' in the comfort of my bed right now!"

I whisper-shouted at him. Demanding

an answer!

His face turned into a grimace.

"Mera bewkoof judwa mujhe yaha fasa kar khud toh Inara ke saath udd gaya," he whisper-shouted too but, frustratedly.

And my non-existent patience snapped as he actually didn't answer what I asked of him.

"Haan toh mujhe kyu apne saath ghasita?!" I pulled him down by his collar. His face right in front of my vision, not too far but not too close. It was a safe distance and a sudden shock was visible on his face and in his eyes.

His eyes were wide, but mine held the pure, deadly gaze of a predator looking at her prey.

I gasped loudly as he suddenly grabbed my kurti's strap, treating it like a collar now, giving it a little jerk.

"Tujhe kya lagta hai teri inn khargosh jaisi nazaro se mai darr jaunga?" He declared staring down right into my eyes.

Our faces were inches away only and I could feel his hot breath hitting my left cheek. My breath hitched.

But

-Wait!

It clearly meant one thing—he was saying that I'm not INTIMIDATING!

"Rat-meme jaisi dikhne wali," he taunted, but there was this soft hint in his voice as he scanned my face like he knew exactly what I was thinking.

I gritted my teeth in anger, but more to stop a blush creeping up on my face, my eyes turning into slits.

"Achha!?"

I hissed and nodded in disagreement and stomped on his foot with my heels.

Painfully!

Kairav's eyes squeezed shut as the pain flowed from his foot to his whole body in seconds.

Subsequently, his grip on my kurti's strap tightened.

I pressed. Hard. Digging my heels in deeper.

Yes. This feels right.

That's how we are supposed to react to each other.

He shot his eyes open.

Dark and intimidating. He leaned closer again, holding my wrists, but this time both and pinned it above my head.

My arms stretched.

He probably did it to stop me from interrupting him. My chest was rising up and down rhythmically.

My breath hitched realising how close his face actually was, as he closed that few inches gap between our faces.

I turned my face to the right side, refusing to look at him.

His nose barely touched my left cheek, which was previously being tortured by his hot breath.

"You want to know why I held your hand and dragged you into this mess with me?" he hissed.

His voice was not loud but each word sounding cold and intimidating. His jaw clenched tight.
