Chapter 11 - : Fallen [1]

"How come you left Eva with the villainess? She could kill her before we get back," said Ray.

But Aiden didn't bother answering him. He stayed focused on the road. After getting the information about Milo, he hit the gas in his Lamborghini.

Ray had volunteered to come with him, but now Aiden could tell the former was regretting that decision, because obviously, Ray had a soft spot.

"They didn't say we could kill, you know... it's just—"

Before Ray could add anything more, Aiden stopped the car. "Do you want to get out?" he asked.

With that, Ray understood what he meant, so he shut his mouth and frowned through the rest of the drive.

When they arrived, they saw that everyone had evacuated the restaurant.

And many of them were wondering why the police hadn't arrived yet for a complaint that had been dropped ten minutes ago.

Ray already knew it was Asami again. 'Computer Witch,' he thought.

Inside, Milo had kidnapped a little girl who was about his age, nine.

But he wasn't hurting her or anything. Rather, she was excited. With everyone driven outside by him, he got to give her all kinds of ice cream flavors.

Soon after, he saw a familiar face walking into the restaurant. "Over here," Milo waved his hand.

"Hmm," Aiden growled. Half the chairs in the restaurant had been decayed by Milo, he assumed.

The chefs hid in the kitchen and peeped to see if the police were the ones who had arrived.

"I wish you could come with me, baby girl, but my ride's here now. See ya," Milo said as he jumped down from the chair and held Aiden by the hand.

Perplexed, Ray wondered why the boy had suddenly come on his own accord.

"Bye, Milo," the little girl waved at him, not even caring about her parents who kept praying she wouldn't get hurt.

Aiden stared at the boy's palm. They were holding hands, and he had a lot of trust issues.

If the boy went nuts, he could crumble Aiden's entire body through this simple contact.

"Don't worry, I've learned how to control my abilities. Might need to charge these gauntlets though," he reassured them.

However, neither Aiden nor Ray moved a step even after Milo walked up to them. "You're him. No way I'm with the wrong guy, right? You're the guy they talked about, who slapped a person to the moon."

"Wait, what? You slapped a person to the moon?" Ray asked.

Still, Aiden didn't answer any of them. Instead, he simply asked for the whereabouts of the villains and how Milo had managed to escape.

The story he got from the kid was somewhat believable. Aiden sighed.

"So you decided destroying a restaurant was the best way to get my attention?" he asked. And the kid responded with a snug smile and a nod.

"I also kidnapped a nine-year-old girl," the latter added. Ray couldn't help but laugh at the child's silly behavior.

Aiden walked up to one of the chefs, who seemed relieved now that the kid was leaving the shop.

"That little monster, take him straight to jail," the chef cursed, but judging by how Aiden stared at him, the chef quickly realized Aiden wasn't supporting those words.

Which made the chef slightly uncomfortable and pressured.

"Who's the owner of this shop?" was what Aiden asked.

"Tsk, I am, at least until that little—"

"How much would you sell it for?"

When he heard Aiden's next question, he blinked, momentarily stunned. He couldn't even name an amount and simply agreed to the price Aiden mentioned.

After all, the price was obviously too high. A billion-dollar check was dropped in front of him.

With that settled, they left the restaurant, and Ray had no doubt. "Dude, how rich are you?" he had to ask.

But Aiden didn't get a chance to reply, even if he wanted to. Einstein and Eagle Eye had already made it to the scene.

"That's the guy? I'll roast him," said Eagle Eye.

Although it took them longer than expected, Eagle could scan everywhere in the city, and that wasn't all of it.

"Holy shit!" Ray yelled.

His left eye shot out a red beam, eradicating the road with intense heat as it was directed at the trio.

However, Milo remained unfazed because Aiden wasn't running away from the beam; he was walking toward it.

-[Ding]

-[Using Ability: Nova Energy]

The beam was a form of energy, so by simply putting his hand out to absorb it, Aiden converted the beam into Nova energy, giving him an unfathomable boost.

"Hold on," Ray swallowed. "That's the teacher's ability, Nova Star. Did he—" his eyes widened as he thought Aiden had actually bonded with their teacher, or rather, had sex.

And when he saw him wave his hand, Einstein was slammed to the right, crashing through several buildings.

"That's... that's Eva's ability," he yelled. "He's using Nova energy to strengthen gravity. He's rich, he's handsome, he's cool, and he's even a genius too. Why can't I be like him?" Ray muttered.

A word only the kid standing next to him heard.

All his heat radiation beams were absorbed by Aiden, and by the time Eagle Eye realized what was happening, Aiden grabbed his throat and lifted him up.

He could see blue Nova energy flowing through Aiden's entire body.

"Where is Fallen?" Aiden asked.

---

Meanwhile...

The villain, King Mummy, quickly reported what was happening to their master, Fallen.

He was inside a hibernation tube, submerged in a green transparent liquid, with a naked human inside it and various wires attached to his body.

The room was dark, and only the master's glowing hibernation tube could be seen.

This was what kept him alive, which was why he fed on rare ability users. There was an energy core in their brains that would not only refine his body and abilities but also extend his lifespan.

Regardless, Fallen could hear what was going on even if he barely spoke.

"We have a major problem, Lord Fallen. The Opposer has joined the Hero Academy," King Mummy informed.

A growl echoed through the small airspace of the tube. "And the boy?" Those were the words that accompanied it.

"Opposer has him, the villains were—"

"No match for him," Fallen growled. With each word spoken, bubbles of air formed within the tube.

He gripped his fist so tightly that thick veins appeared on its surface. He hadn't intended to leave his hibernation, but Aiden had given him little choice.

Right then, the tube cracked, and Fallen stepped out, spilling water across the floor.

He unplugged himself and spoke properly. "So he still thinks I can be stopped," said Fallen.

"Lord Fallen, let me retrieve the boy," King Mummy volunteered. However, there was no need for that.

"No, I'll do this one myself. Let me say hi to an old friend."
