After giving my guardian knight some time off for a family visit, I had a leisurely lunch with Haven.
With Edwin's upcoming departure, the past few days had been hectic, and today was the first afternoon in a long while with no particular schedule.
As Haven suggested a walk and we headed out, I found myself gazing blankly at the clear blue sky when he struck up a conversation.
"Are we just going to drop the investigation into the attempted poisoning?"
"Eddy has been quite unhappy about it. He insisted on capturing the culprit before departing, which was quite troublesome for me. If they haven't been caught by now, we might as well consider them gone."
"You could have lost your life. Why do you sound so nonchalant about it?"
"I'm not taking my life lightly, so relax your eyes, Haven."
As I pointed him out, Haven pressed his fingers against his deeply furrowed brow to smooth it out.
'Why bother with his forehead when his eyes say it all? Tsk, tsk.'
