Seraphina staggered up the slope. Upon coming to a stop, she slowly surveyed her surroundings. Her light purple eyes rested upon the sprawling lorinathus.
She softly bent her knees and reached out towards the flowers, yet her bandaged wrist couldn’t grasp a thing.
“You always... held my hand,” Seraphina murmured, gazing down at her severed hand.
“It seemed to keep the warmth, but I’ve let everything slip through my fingers, ruining it all.”
Her voice sank heavily.
“Eton.”
She called his name in vain then whispered to herself.
“Now, I’ll never meet you again...”
Perhaps Seraphina had hoped, even in death, that she might see Eton one last time. But that hope had evaporated like a mirage. Sez watched her in silent pain, wearing an agonized face.
