As Sez walked toward the garden, her footsteps were undeniably frantic.
‘…I might be able to see him if I wait there long enough.’
He had left home, so if she was lucky, she could run into him on his way back. The garden was the perfect excuse for Sez. Of course, she wouldn’t go to the garden in broad daylight, even though it was rightfully hers.
Nevertheless, Sez was not in the state of mind to care about prying eyes right now.
‘If I miss him, I can stop by his chancery on the way back to my room.’
As Sez scurried her way over to the garden…
“Greetings, Princess Sez."
Sez paused and looked back to see the most unexpected figure. An unexpected visitor was staring at her.
"Carolyn Lygent, at your service."
"Oh... L-Lady Lygent."
Sez couldn’t hide her awkwardness. She had no idea that they’d run into each other like this, nor did she hope for such an encounter.
‘Why is she here anyway?’
"It's been a while. I hope you’ve been well in the meantime.”
