Eton stared blankly out the window as the sky gradually turned redder with the breaking dawn. His body, not the same as before, was screaming with extreme fatigue, but sleep would not come to him.
The cold room was completely silent except for the sound of Eton's fingers tapping against the desk as he stared at his haggard reflection in the window.
"This hair color doesn't suit you at all,"
Eton couldn't help but smirk as he recalled Belkiel's words. His hair color was fading and so were his powers. Eventually, it would turn white and he would lose everything.
"But… I have no regrets," Eton murmured to himself.
“I won't regret my choice no matter what happens. I believe in Seraphina.”
It would be dishonest to say that he didn't harbor any resentment towards her. He had a multitude of questions he wanted to ask her, such as why she had to ruin everything and break her promise by abandoning him.
