Sez, who was the princess in the Imperial House of Rowayne of the Den Helder Empire, was killed by her brother, Rayton, who caused the coup. Rayton was discriminated against in the empire for the prophecy that the monster whose hair is black as night and eyes as red as blood will end the whole world, and he had the same appearance as the monster of the prophecy.

Though her head was cut by his sword and lost the chance to escape the empire, somehow she was magically sent back to the past. When she had a second chance to change her fate, she decided to become friendly with Rayton to survive.


“My Princess, Lady Lygent wishes to see you."


Sez's complexion paled slightly upon hearing those words. Carolyn Lygent was the person Sez never wanted to encounter, especially after the last warning she’d received.


"Princess Sez," Carolyn addressed her from behind the door. 


"I heard you were working at the library, so I wanted to pay you a visit. May I come in?"


Sez instinctively glanced at Rayton, seeking some guidance, only to find his expression as inscrutable as ever. However, there was a distinct shift in his demeanor compared to how he looked at her. 


"Tell her to come in," Rayton responded slowly, and the door soon swung open. 


Carolyn stood before them, her face as hard as a rock. She had made her way to the library after requesting to meet Rayton and being informed of his absence. An unpleasant gut feeling had seemingly guided her to this place, and the confirmation of her suspicions, though expected, didn't bring her any pleasure.
