Chapter 57
The whole situation was confusing for Sez.
She had spent the entire day sitting there blankly, unable to do anything. She didn’t need Rayton’s confirmation to know that he was blatantly avoiding her.
‘But why now?’
The roles were reversed. It was Sez who had to avoid Rayton, the D-day for his coup was fast approaching based on what she recalled from her past life. Sez didn't want to think that the Rayton knew in her current life would cut her head off again, yet she couldn't help but feel anxious.
‘Yeah, it's a good thing.’
Sez tried hard to think so, but her heart didn’t listen to her.
All of Rayton’s harsh words and ignorance didn’t wash away her worries for him. As the twilight faded away and the full moon rose through the dim fog, Sez began to justify herself.
‘I have to know what kind of things are going on around me, that will also help me to prevent the coup.’
Eventually, after midnight, Sez headed over to Rayton's quarters without telling Runa.
