Chapter 196 - Chapter 196: Solar Disc, Activate!

"Ninja tools? You think I, Yagura, don't have one?"

Yagura drew a blade.

Its body was wrapped in bandages.

The moment he took it out, an abnormal suction force emerged from the blade.

Facing the ninjutsu sweeping in from every direction, Yagura tightened his grip on the hilt and raised Samehada high.

Rasa frowned.

"A jinchuriki paired with Samehada…"

"Yagura Karatachi with that kind of setup really is troublesome."

"With Samehada present, ninjutsu will be difficult to use effectively."

"As for other forms of attack, it won't be easy for Sunagakure to deal a fatal blow to Yagura either. A jinchuriki's defense and recovery ability are both extremely powerful."

"Unless it's taijutsu on the level of the Eight Gates."

"Or genjutsu on the level of the Mangekyo."

"Wait…"

Suddenly, Rasa thought of something.

"Sunagakure does have an attack outside of ninjutsu that is strong enough to threaten a jinchuriki's life."

"To build that thing, I almost emptied Sunagakure's entire foundation."

"The Solar Disc."

"It absorbs the energy of the sun, and what it converts that energy into is not chakra."

"Samehada is useless against it."

"A jinchuriki's body won't be able to withstand it either."

"The only problem is that the Solar Disc isn't here. I need to bring Yagura to its location."

Rasa's eyes flickered.

The next moment, the yellow sand beneath them began to surge.

Rasa turned the sandy ground into a flowing state.

He intended to use the movement of the sand to carry Yagura toward that location.

Towering waves of sand rose on all sides, blocking Yagura's vision and preventing him from seeing the situation outside.

Yagura held Samehada high and snorted coldly.

"Rasa, what can you do to me?"

"Come out and fight if you have the skill!"

"Can your chakra outlast mine?"

"I am a jinchuriki, and I have Samehada."

"You are not a jinchuriki, and your ninja tool is inferior to Samehada."

"When your chakra is exhausted, how will you protect Sunagakure?"

The more Yagura spoke, the more excited he became.

At the beginning, Yagura had not held a high position in Kirigakure.

In other words, when Kirigakure held the advantage, Yagura had not enjoyed any of its benefits.

But when Kirigakure fell into disadvantage, Yagura had been there for all of it.

Because of that, Yagura had an intense desire to overturn Sunagakure and reverse everything.

Now, Yagura saw hope.

No.

It wasn't just hope.

Yagura felt that he could truly do it.

Defeat Rasa.

Crush Sunagakure.

Lead Kirigakure back to greatness.

No.

To a greatness that surpassed any point in Kirigakure's past.

Yagura did not notice that he was moving.

He did not notice that he had already been carried far away from Sunagakure.

He was completely immersed in his joy and excitement, already imagining the future in his mind.

Suddenly—

A strange movement came from Samehada in his hand.

"Hm?"

Yagura snapped back to his senses.

"Something's wrong!"

"The ground is moving!"

"Rasa is playing tricks?"

Yagura gathered a massive amount of chakra into his fist and slammed it down hard at the ground.

Boom!

That tremendous force seemed to pierce straight through the earth.

Rasa's eyes flickered.

"He still noticed?"

"But it's enough. From the start, I prepared two methods. That side should be almost ready too."

A shadow began to cover the area.

Yagura instinctively raised his head.

Then he saw an incomparably massive object appearing high in the sky.

It was far larger than the Yatagarasu.

It did not look like a living creature.

It looked more like a building.

"How can a building be in the sky?"

It came closer.

And closer.

Finally, Yagura saw what it looked like clearly.

The lower half was perfectly square.

The upper half was a giant sphere radiating golden light.

A vast amount of gold dust spread through the air, lifting the enormous building.

A wave of pressure descended.

Yagura frowned slightly. He faintly sensed that something was wrong, and an ominous feeling rose in his heart.

"What is that?"

"He actually moved an entire building here?"

But very soon, Yagura understood.

Because as that building descended, Rasa's figure walked out from behind the curtain of yellow sand.

A mass of gold dust gathered beneath Rasa's feet, lifting him into the air.

His figure hovered above the ground.

Rasa looked down at Yagura calmly.

Yagura's brow furrowed even deeper.

"He actually showed himself openly?"

"He's not hiding anymore?"

The bad feeling in Yagura's heart grew stronger.

But since Rasa had appeared, Yagura could not possibly let this chance slip away.

"Water Release: Water Mirror Technique!"

A Water Release mirror appeared, facing Rasa's direction.

"Under my Water Mirror Technique, no matter what method you use, it is meaningless."

"The Water Mirror Technique can copy one hundred percent of your strength!"

It was at that moment—

"Solar Disc, activate!"

As Rasa's voice fell, a rapid sound rang out from within the Solar Disc.

It was low and oppressive.

The sound alone released an extremely heavy pressure.

The next moment—

A beam of light suddenly emerged from the Solar Disc, aimed directly at Yagura's position.

Boom!

Yagura felt a sharp pain stab into his eyes.

Even though he could not see clearly, he could still sense the terrifying energy contained within that beam of light.

"Borrowing someone else's power?"

"Rasa, I look down on you!"

"But as long as it's ninjutsu, as long as it's chakra, it's useless!"

Yagura raised Samehada high.

Yet Samehada, which had always devoured any type of ninjutsu without fail, lost its effect this time.

It failed to block the Solar Disc's attack.

Bang!

The beam directly overwhelmed Samehada and struck Yagura's body.

Boom!

A huge burst of energy erupted with terrifying force.

Yagura's pupils shrank sharply.

At the critical moment, he drew out even more tailed beast chakra, forcing himself from the tailed beast cloak state into a half-tailed beast state.

But even then, he still could not withstand it.

His entire body was blasted into the air.

Samehada flew from his hand.

A mass of molten gold dust quickly surged forward and wrapped around Samehada completely.

This was purely the property of metal melting through temperature and then cooling.

There was no chakra involved.

Because of that, Samehada could not absorb chakra to break down this "seal."

"Again!"

Another beam of light fell.

"Again!"

Two beams!

"Again!"

Three beams!

Yagura used all his strength, desperately trying to break free.

But under the Solar Disc's attacks, his body was pressed lower and lower.

Until—

Until a figure appeared behind Yagura.

A sand soldier.

"Quicksand Displacement!"

Rasa's figure appeared instantly.

He raised one hand and approached.

"Crescent Moon Sand Dune!"

Yagura immediately felt the water inside his body draining away at an alarming speed.

He had just tried to move when the surrounding gold dust gathered together, tightly binding his body.

Rasa took out a sealing scroll.

"Seal!"
