Chapter 20 — Let Me Tell You, the Fourth Hokage Is My Disciple!
"Pervy Sage?"
The moment he heard that nickname, Jiraiya's face instantly turned green. What kind of ridiculous title was that? It was outright insulting to someone of his status—a Sage of Mount Myōboku! Completely disrespectful!
How was he pervy? That was clearly… appreciation of beauty!
"You brat, watch your mouth! I'm one of the Legendary Sannin—the Sannin! Do you even know what that means?" Jiraiya said, nearly at a loss for words.
"The Legendary Sannin… are they stronger than the Fourth Hokage?" Naruto Uzumaki tilted his head, genuinely curious.
"Uh…" Jiraiya froze for a moment.
"I think you're just a peeping creep. You almost got us into trouble earlier!" Naruto shot back, clearly annoyed.
"Who told you to kick me, you brat?" Jiraiya glared.
"So you think peeping is justified?!"
"That was research! What would a kid like you understand?"
"I think you're just a disgusting pervert! Pervy Sage!"
"Outrageous! Absolutely outrageous! I'm a Sage from Mount Myōboku!"
"Pervy Sage!"
…
The two of them—one tall, one short—stood face to face, arguing without backing down in the slightest.
Kaguya Ōtsutsuki tilted her head as she watched them bicker, completely puzzled. It had all escalated so quickly… just because of peeping?
Peeping… she didn't fully understand the concept, but from what she gathered, it meant secretly watching others.
So this man was a pervert. A complete one.
Meanwhile, Jiraiya had already lost interest in arguing with Naruto. His gaze drifted toward Kaguya—
—and froze.
Too beautiful. Absolutely breathtaking.
Rubbing his hands together, he flashed a lecherous grin. "Miss, would you care to accompany me for a drink? Or perhaps… something a little more intimate?"
"Ohohoho!"
"He really is a super pervy sage!" Naruto shouted immediately.
Kaguya stared at the man before her, his expression twisted into something vulgar. A trace of disgust flashed across her face.
Smack!!
Her hand moved without hesitation, striking his cheek cleanly.
"Waaah! My handsome face!" Jiraiya howled, clutching his cheek.
"Nice one, Kaguya! That's exactly how you deal with guys like him! If you ever run into a pervy old man like this again, you've gotta hit him properly, dattebayo!" Naruto cheered.
Jiraiya stared at Kaguya in shock.
Something's off… that strength isn't normal…
He had only ever felt that kind of raw force from one person before.
Could she be Tsunade?
No… something didn't match…
Jiraiya narrowed his eyes and subtly glanced downward.
Hmm… smaller… and more restrained…
Not her.
Kaguya's expression grew even colder. She raised her hand again—
Smack!!!
"AAAAAHHH!!!"
Another miserable scream echoed out as Jiraiya nearly jumped from the impact.
"With that strength… I'd believe you were Tsunade!" he cried inwardly.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry! Miss, I won't do it again!" Jiraiya covered his face and immediately begged for mercy.
Never again!
"Earlier you said you're one of the Sannin. What exactly are the Sannin?" Naruto asked, curiosity returning.
Jiraiya's eyes widened.
You don't even know the Sannin? And you call yourself a ninja?
"What kind of look is that?" Naruto instantly caught the meaning behind that expression.
"You don't even know the Sannin, and you call yourself a ninja?" Jiraiya said flatly.
Naruto's face darkened.
What's that supposed to mean?
"So… between the Sannin and the Fourth Hokage, who's stronger?" Naruto muttered, puffing his cheeks.
If I don't show this brat something, he'll never understand what "Sannin" really means.
Jiraiya straightened his posture, standing tall. Under the sunlight, the bright red handprints on his face were especially noticeable.
"Kid, do you know who the Fourth Hokage is?" Jiraiya asked, his tone turning slightly mysterious.
"The Fourth Hokage? He's the hero who sealed the Nine-Tails and saved the village," Naruto answered immediately.
A hero…
"That's right. The Fourth Hokage is a great hero. But, kid… do you know who I am?" Jiraiya said.
Naruto shook his head.
"I am the Fourth Hokage's teacher. Surprised? Didn't see that coming, did you?" Jiraiya grinned.
That should shock you, right?
Naruto stared at him like he was looking at a complete idiot.
Jiraiya immediately sensed something was off.
What kind of reaction is that?!
"You? The Fourth Hokage's teacher?" Naruto asked skeptically.
"As real as it gets!" Jiraiya declared proudly.
Naruto looked him up and down, suspicion written all over his face, his eyes filled with doubt.
This pervy old man… the teacher of the Fourth Hokage?
What kind of joke was that?
"Yeah right. A pervy uncle like you being the Fourth Hokage's teacher? Keep dreaming!" Naruto said bluntly.
"Heh… looks like I'll have to show you something," Jiraiya smirked, slowly raising his hand.
In an instant—
Chakra gathered.
A swirling, azure sphere formed in his palm, rotating chaotically yet perfectly contained.
"Kid, take a good look. What do you think this is?"
Naruto's eyes locked onto it immediately, unable to look away.
Seeing that reaction, Jiraiya's smile widened.
"This is a Super A-Rank ninjutsu, developed by the Fourth Hokage after three years of effort."
Naruto's gaze trembled.
A technique created by the Fourth Hokage…
BOOM!!!
A nearby wall exploded, a massive crater forming instantly as debris scattered everywhere.
The sheer destructive force left Naruto stunned. He had never witnessed anything like it before.
Dust filled the air, forcing Kaguya to step back slightly, her brows furrowing—she clearly disliked the mess.
"Well? Want to learn it?" Jiraiya asked, tempting him.
"I do!"
Naruto's eyes sparkled with excitement.
That technique was incredible—maybe even stronger than Kakashi Hatake's Lightning Blade!
It was just too cool!
"Oh, you want to learn it… but I'm not teaching you. Heh. Annoying, isn't it?" Jiraiya said with a smug grin.
Naruto froze, his face scrunching up in frustration.
Seeing that expression only made Jiraiya grin wider.
"You brat, keep dreaming about it. This great sage is off!" With that, he vanished in an instant.
At the street corner, only Naruto and Kaguya remained.
Naruto puffed his cheeks so much they looked ready to burst, both his desire to learn the technique—and to punch that pervy sage again—clearly written all over his face.
"That guy is seriously the worst!!" Naruto shouted.
Kaguya tilted her head slightly, her gaze falling on the crater left behind. A faint hint of curiosity flickered in her eyes.
Condensing high-density chakra into a sphere… with irregular rotational flow…
As a member of the Ōtsutsuki Clan, such control over power came naturally to her. She grasped the principle almost instantly.
…
High atop a massive ancient tree—
Jiraiya stood watching Naruto's retreating figure, his expression gradually softening.
"…Your son, Minato… had good taste."
