"Awoo…"
All of these undead wolves suddenly howled at the same time, lunging at me together. That howl almost made me faint, as I collapsed on my feet, unable to make sense of my current situation.
In this moment, all I wanted was to escape from this hell. One of the wolves jumped straight at my face, his wide-open jaws, and those sharp teeth made up of broken bones, pierced through my skin.
"Ahhh…"
The pain was so intense that I was unable to think of a single clear thing in my head. When I was thinking, I had met my end, the Hellfire, burned through my veins, entering the wolf's body whose teeth had sunk into my hand, and his entire body began to burn into charcoal right in front of my eyes.
"This…" I stared at the hellfire burning through my veins, finding myself freezing to death, as my blood began to turn cold, a fine layer of ice forming around my skin.
While happily killing these undead wolves, I realised that there was an entire pack of them that attacked me, but where the other went.
I quickly glanced at my surroundings and found all of these undead wolves lying dead on the ground.
"What just happened? I possibly couldn't be the one killing them." I didn't know the cause of their death. When I observed these corpses, I found a palm-sized hole on each of their head. The thick bone around their skull was clearly broken into pieces, while their head seemed to be gone.
As I checked the surroundings in silence, trying to find the killer of these wolves, with the Hellfire burning in my body. I was ready for an attack at any moment, but also a bit thrilled to know about this unknown killer.
You might think I was being crazy by searching for a killer beast in the Hell that was only because you couldn't understand the thrill of the moment. The intensity of the power I felt when the hellfire burns through my veins. I felt like the lord of this entire world, as if, as if… only I was the one and only ruler of this world.
I didn't need to search for the culprit for much, as I heard the munching sound coming from one of the tree trunks. A smile appeared on my lips. I didn't know who I was going to meet, but I was super excited for this meetup.
"Let's see who was the good guy that saved me from these bad wolves." At this point, I really couldn't understand what the hell I was so excited about.
I didn't wait for much, as I threw a purple fireball at the already charred tree, setting it ablaze under the purple hellfire.
"Aarr… Che… Che…"
Just as the purple flames touched the tree, a tiny figure dashed out from the tree, but by this time, his body was already burning with hellfire. Making its escape attempt futile.
It jumped from one tree to another, trying to save itself, but it only spread the hellfire onto every single tree present within the forest. In less than a minute, the little creature jumped at hundreds of trees, setting half of the forest ablaze.
Its movements were so fast, despite being burned by hellfire, I couldn't even see what it looked like. As its screams were coming from everywhere in the forest, as if this thing were everywhere, if not for the hellfire making it easier to track its moment. I wouldn't know, there was only one of these things.
My eyes were continuously darting around, trying to keep track of this thing. After a minute, it finally stopped at one of the trees, giving me a clear view of it.
He has a rather long nose, pointy ears, and a small tail with a pointed end, and two horns on his head, just the size of a squirrel. And a tiny thing for some reason extremely resilient to my hellfire, even that giant wolf had been turned to ashes in less than ten seconds, yet this little devil was still alive.
"Che… Che…"
It was staring at me, his tiny eyes squinting at me, as his skin was melting under my hell flames. I was able to feel rage inside this little thing, but what I didn't know was why it hadn't attacked me already.
Soon enough, I got my answer, as I found him jumping on the ground in front of me, as he tried to talk with me in his native language.
"Che… Che…"
I didn't get a single word of his, but I could tell just by looking at the intensity of the hell flames that he was in pain, extreme pain. It was really shocking for me to see a creature with a mind, because according to novels, creatures, especially evil ones, hardly have any intelligence.
Yet, this creature in front of me was trying to communicate with me despite burning in my hell flames.
I took a deep breath, readying myself for a meaningful conversation with this little devil.
"If you're willing to become my summon beast, I can put out this fire for you," I said while making the gestures alongside, so he could get it easily.
I have a lot of expectations from this little thing. I could easily tell that he must be one of the strongest summons that I could possibly get with my current strength. After all, if he hadn't shown any interest in talking in the first place, I doubted that I had the strength to get even anything remotely closer to this little devil.
Fortunately, the little devil seemed to get my words easily. He bowed his head in front of me in submission.
"Chee… Che…" he said something in his language, which I didn't get at all, but I know what that bow means.
I looked at his submission and couldn't hide the joy in my heart. I put away the hellfire and instantly took this little devil with me into the real world.
