Once again, morning at Luna Café started the same way.
And once again…
I was late.
"…Why is my life always like this?"
I complained while dragging myself down the street, my legs barely functioning as usual.
Just when I thought my life couldn't possibly get worse—
I saw it.
Again.
The bicycle.
Still parked there.
Same spot. Same temptation.
I stopped walking and stared at it like it personally offended me.
"…Don't tell me the owner is around somewhere."
I looked left.
I looked right.
No sign of that annoying guy.
"…It's fine. I'll just borrow it again… handsome owner, please understand."
And just like that—
I took it.
And rode off like a professional criminal.
👮♂️ Meanwhile — Police Station
"Again? She stole it again?!"
Si Young sighed deeply while eating lunch, right after Chloe hung up on him.
"That girl… when is she ever going to act like an adult…"
Just then, someone pulled out a chair and sat across from him.
Adrian raised an eyebrow.
"Hey. I'm Adrian Li. Nice to meet you—looks like we'll be working together starting tomorrow."
He paused.
"…Did you just say something about stealing a bicycle?"
Si Young nodded, completely tired.
"My sister. She's always like this. Late to open her café, doing weird things… and now she's stealing bicycles."
Adrian went quiet for a second.
Then—
He burst out laughing.
"Haha—sorry, but what kind of person is she? Does someone like that really exist?"
Si Young shook his head, clearly done with life.
"…Anyway, I'm Si Young Wang. If you have time, go visit her café someday. You'll understand everything."
Adrian smiled.
"Sure. Send me the location later."
(Inner thought: Oh, I'm definitely going. 😏)
🚲 Outside Luna Café
After work, Adrian took a taxi straight to the location Si Young sent.
"…Don't tell me that loud-mouthed girl is actually his sister."
He crossed his arms, thinking.
"Let's see… a café owner who steals bicycles? That's new."
Then he smirked.
"…If I see her again, I'm definitely taking her to the police station this time."
Right at that moment—
He saw her.
Chloe.
Riding his bicycle like it legally belonged to her.
Adrian froze.
"…No way."
She stopped in front of the café, jumped off casually, and stretched like she just completed a marathon.
"Finally! I made it on time today!"
Adrian just stood there, watching her in disbelief.
Then slowly…
He walked toward her.
"Excuse me."
Chloe turned around, still messy, still out of breath.
"Y-Yes, sir—"
She froze.
The two of them stared at each other.
Silence.
Awkward.
Dangerous silence.
Adrian tilted his head slightly.
"…That's my bicycle."
Chloe blinked.
Once.
Twice.
Her brain completely shut down.
"…Wait—what?"
Adrian took out his police ID and showed it to her calmly.
"Miss, you are under arrest for theft."
He gave her a small smile.
"Please come with me to the police station."
And just like that—
For the first time in her life…
Chloe Wong had absolutely nothing to say.
