"Mom?". I stared questioningly at the tears filled eyes of my mother . My heart felt heavy, knowing I might have made her cry " Are you….", sniffles "are you crying?".
Her pale hands trembled as she carressed my small chubby face " Stay here, ok? Dont come out". Her right hand moved to wipe the tears on her cheek but more dropped from her eyes " No matter what you hear, dont come out, do you hear me". Her voice rushed out in hushed tone. She looked back frequently as if scared someone will pop out behind her .
I didn't understand.
" Answer me, Alyra" she shook me violently, shaking me out of my daze.
Her eyes terrified me and the way she kept looking back made me really believe someone was after us. But I didn't see anyone.
I nodded my head in agreement, hoping it was enough stop her from crying. It did. Just for a second. A smile graced her face, causing me to smile back " I love you sweetheart".
