Morning light filled the room.
Sumi slowly opened her eyes. She felt something heavy on her chest.
She looked down.
Lee was sleeping on her.
Her eyes widened. He looked peaceful, using her like a soft pillow.
Sumi's face turned red.
Why is he sleeping like this… she thought.
She stayed still, afraid to wake him. He moved slightly and got more comfortable.
Her heart started beating faster. She looked at his calm face and smiled softly.
Carefully, she moved her hand and gently shifted him aside. Then she slowly got out of bed.
She fixed her hair and tried to act normal.
A few seconds later, Lee woke up.
He blinked. Then he saw Sumi near the window and remembered everything.
"Good morning," he said.
"Good morning," she replied.
Both felt shy.
"I'll go wash," he said awkwardly.
She nodded.
Sumi went to the kitchen and started making tea.
Soon, Lee's little sister Umi walked in, still sleepy.
"Good morning," Umi said.
"Good morning," Sumi replied.
"You woke up early."
"I came to make tea."
Umi grinned. "You already look like a perfect sister-in-law."
Sumi smiled shyly.
Lee came out searching. "Mom! Where is my brush?"
"Check the bathroom!" his mother replied.
"Not there!"
"Check your bag!"
Lee sighed.
Sumi walked toward him and held out his brush. "Are you looking for this?"
"Oh… my brush. Thank you."
"You left it on the table."
Lee nodded, embarrassed, and went to the bathroom.
Later, Umi brought a notebook.
"Brother, help me with my project."
Lee replied, "Of course… no."
"You didn't even look!"
"I am busy," he said, doing nothing.
"You are lazy."
"Thank you."
Umi turned to Sumi. "Can you help me?"
"I'll try," Sumi said.
"See? Sister-in-law is better."
Lee held his chest. "My own sister betrayed me."
Sumi laughed softly. They started working together while Lee sat nearby.
"I am supervising," he said.
"You are doing nothing," Umi replied.
"Professional nothing."
Lee went outside. His father was watering plants.
"Plants have better life than me," Lee said.
"Why?"
"They get water. I get boredom."
His father laughed. "So… how was last night?"
Lee choked. "I just slept!"
"Only sleep?"
"Yes!"
"You are too shy," his father said, smiling.
At breakfast, Lee's mother said, "You both should go on a date today."
Lee almost dropped his spoon. "Date?"
"Yes. Spend time together."
Umi grinned. "Go!"
Lee sighed. "Everyone is planning my life again."
Sumi looked down shyly.
A few hours later, Lee stood near the door, waiting.
Sumi came out.
He froze. She looked beautiful.
"How am I looking?" she asked softly.
"You… you look very good," he said nervously.
They started walking together, quietly. Their hands almost touched, then moved away. The silence felt sweet.
"Where should we go?" Lee asked.
Sumi checked her phone. "Umi gave me ideas…"
Lee smiled. "Let's go to the flower garden."
"Okay."
The garden was full of colorful flowers. Soft wind blew gently.
"So many flowers…" Sumi said happily.
Lee looked at her. She looked more beautiful than the flowers.
A cameraman approached. "Can I take your photo?"
They stood close. Their shoulders almost touched.
Click.
Both felt shy.
They sat on a bench. Lee went and bought one flower.
He handed it to her.
"This is for you."
"For me?"
"Yes."
She smiled. "Thank you."
They watched a movie, walked in the market, and spent the day together.
Slowly, they became more comfortable.
Evening came. They returned home.
"Today was nice," Lee said.
"Yes," Sumi replied.
After dinner, they went to their room.
This time, Lee was calm. No panic.
"Good night," he said.
"Good night," she replied.
They lay quietly, feeling comfortable… and slowly fell asleep.
