Chapter 34 - FIRST BLOOD

The system didn't glitch twice.

So when it did—

everyone knew.

This wasn't random.

It was targeted.

"…Trace it," Kael ordered.

Multiple screens lit up instantly.

Lines of code flooding.

"…Signal is bouncing—no fixed location," someone reported.

Kael's expression didn't change.

"…Then we don't trace it."

A pause.

"We bait it."

Silence.

Aeris looked at him.

"…You already have a plan."

"I always do."

A step closer.

"Vael thren kai…"

Literal meaning:

"The trap is already set."

Real meaning:

"They think they're hunting us—but they're already caught."

Aeris's eyes sharpened slightly.

"…Then don't waste time."

🩸 THE MISSION

Location: abandoned data facility.

Dead network.

No official access.

Perfect place—

to hide something that shouldn't exist.

Aeris stepped out of the car.

The air felt wrong.

Not dangerous.

Watched.

"…They're here," she said quietly.

Kael didn't deny it.

"Good."

No hesitation.

No fear.

Only forward.

😈 THE ATTACK

It happened fast.

Too fast.

A shadow moved—

then another—

And suddenly—

they weren't alone.

Figures emerged from the dark.

Masked.

Silent.

Weapons drawn.

No warning.

They attacked.

Aeris moved first.

Not panic.

Instinct.

She dodged—

barely—

A blade cut through air where she stood.

Kael stepped in.

Effortless.

Controlled.

Like this wasn't new.

Because it wasn't.

He caught one attacker's arm—

twisted—

A clean, precise break.

No wasted motion.

No hesitation.

"Stay behind me."

"…No."

She didn't.

And that—

changed everything.

"Kaelis thren val…"

Literal meaning:

"Stand where I can see you fight."

Real meaning:

"If you're going to be in this war—prove you can survive it."

Aeris didn't respond.

She moved.

Again.

This time—

not avoiding.

Fighting.

🩸 THE SHIFT

One attacker hesitated.

Just for a second.

That was enough.

Aeris saw it.

Not fear.

Recognition.

"…You know me."

Silence.

The attacker froze.

Too long.

Kael noticed instantly.

"Take him."

😈 THE BETRAYAL

Back at the facility—

they didn't need interrogation.

Because the truth came faster.

The mask dropped.

And the room went still.

"…Noah."

Silence.

Aeris's gaze shifted.

"…He works with you."

Kael didn't respond.

Because this—

was unexpected.

Noah looked at them calmly.

Not afraid.

Not defensive.

Just… done hiding.

"…You weren't supposed to find out this early."

Silence cracked.

"…Why?" Aeris asked.

Noah's gaze moved to her.

"…Because you were never meant to survive that night."

Everything stopped.

🌑 VELMORAN LINE (NEW)

"Thraen no valeth…"

Literal meaning:

"The truth cuts deeper than blades."

Real meaning:

"What you're about to learn will hurt more than anything before."

Aeris didn't react immediately.

But her voice—

lowered.

"…Say it clearly."

Noah exhaled slowly.

Then—

"Your family wasn't erased by one person."

A pause.

Then—

"It was ordered."

Silence.

Absolute.

Aeris's fingers tightened.

"…By who?"

Noah looked at Kael.

Just for a second.

And that—

was enough.

🌑 ENDING — BREAKPOINT

The room felt smaller.

Heavier.

Unstable.

Because now—

this wasn't just mystery.

This was connection.

Dangerous connection.

Aeris's voice broke the silence.

"…You knew."

Not a question.

Again.

Kael didn't answer.

Not yet.

Because this time—

the truth wasn't just his.

It belonged to all of them.
