Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: Obsessed

Syal spent the rest of day holed up in his quarters, pouring over the mysterious book left behind by his father.

He had been intrigued by Vincent's story about the Martial Arts master and was determined to learn more about this mystical profession.

As he flipped through the pages, he finally found the section on Martial Artists. There's many mythical profession of this with very weird name too such 'Martial Art: Kinetic Pulse Palm', 'Martial Art: Crystal Oxidative Journals','Martial Art: Photon displacement Sword'.

The different manual will breed different Martial artist. There's why so many Martial Artist Mythical Profession.

"Isn't this supposed to be Ancient art?"

According to the book, Martial Artists required Will Core and or Flesh Core,Neuron Core, Energy Core even Mind core to have this on slice.

Many Fated will be stuck if they have Martial Art as they profession, cause definitely the slice will be ??? For a long time. At least I never encountered people with Martial Art knowledge besides Vincent. True Martial Artist is live in seclusion on some secret island. Making harder for ordinary Fated know about it.

"This book even describing some of the Martial Art Manual. How Father even know this."

The book explained that Martial Artists used their will as fuel for destruction, imbuing each attack with their own intent and purpose. Martial Artist need to train following the instructions of the manual for years. Building their Physical, Discipline, or whatever they needed. After this long consistent training, they will power will start can send outwardly. Directly to influence the world. This gradual process taking years of hard work and talent.

This resonated with Syal, who had heard the Martial Arts master's incredible abilities firsthand.

However, the book didn't provide any explanation for the Martial Artist's ability to change their surroundings, as Vincent had described. Syal wondered if this was a unique aspect of the Martial Arts master's abilities or if there was more to the story.

As Syal continued to flip through the pages, he being intrigued by one of Martial art profession. The requirements listed were different: Will, Flesh, and Mind.

According to the book, this version of Martial Artist had abilities that more inclined to their brain power. While they still relied on their will and physical prowess, they also possessed the ability to manipulate the world around them through mental powers in Martial arts way. A sword slash that suddenly being controlled telepathicly do a homing attack; Or countering every enemy move through reading enemy mind. Thing like that.

The book described their abilities as including telekinesis, telepathy, and other forms of mental manipulation.

The book's words sent a shiver down Syal's spine. He couldn't help but wonder which type of Martial Artist was more formidable, the one who relied on brute force or the one who could wield the power of the mind.

Syal's continued to browse through the book, searching for more information on the different types of Martial Artists. As he turned the pages, he stumbled upon yet another entry, this one with the requirements of Will, Flesh, and Energy.

Syal's eyes widened as he read through the description. This variant of Martial Artist seemed to be the most powerful of all, combining the will-based enhancements of the previous types with the ability to manipulate various forms of energy.

According to the book, these Martial Artists could tap into thermal energy, magnetic energy, kinetic energy, and even gravitational energy to fuel their abilities. Syal's mind reeled as he tried to imagine the possibilities a Martial Artist who could generate intense heat or magnetic fields, or even manipulate the gravity itself.

As he delved deeper into the book, Syal discovered that this type of Martial Artist was extremely rare, with only a handful of individuals throughout history possessing the necessary combination of will, flesh, and energy.

Syal closed the book, his mind reeling with the sheer variety of Martial Artist variants. He concluded that the reason for this diversity was the existence of multiple martial arts manuals, each with its own unique teachings and emphasis.

Despite the differences, Syal noted that all the Martial Artist variants shared the same foundation: Will and Flesh. He wondered if there were other variants that his father didn't know about, perhaps ones that included Spirit as a core.

Syal's thoughts turned to his own goals. He wanted to acquire Flesh as his second core, followed by Will as his third core. This would allow him to become a formidable Martial Artist, capable of wielding the powerful abilities described in the book. Even better because he probably will make his own manual, the one with Spirit.

"Wonder that manual name is going to be? Spirit Channeling Scripture? Nah it's lame... Artifact Master Intent? Well probably think later, still long way to go. I doesn't even sure which core will I unlocked next."

However, Syal's excitement was tempered by a nagging problem. His Slices, didn't have Will as an option. Syal wondered if he would ever be able to find a Slice with Will, or if he would have to explore other paths to achieve his goals.

Syal then Closed the mysterious book that his father left. Change to read another book, the one that he borrowed from library 'History of Nation'.

Syal's eyes scanned the pages of "History of Nation", fascinated by the story of the country's founding. The nation had been established 160 years ago, in 745 AD (After Deity), as the first country to declare independence from the Human Supreme Empire.

According to the book, the early years of the nation were marked by struggle and turmoil. However, under the leadership of the first president, Ethan Sawyer, the country was able to stand its ground against numerous threats.

Ethan Sawyer was a Seduloused, advance mythical profession his posses are "President". He was an exceptional leader, and his guidance had been instrumental in shaping the nation's early years.

However, as the years passed, Ethan Sawyer began to see the dangers of superpowers and the supernatural. He realized that these abilities brought more harm than good, and so he made the decision to erase the knowledge of the supernatural from the nation using his power.

But, as the book noted, this decision did not extend to the Fated, who were still needed to protect the country. Ethan Sawyer's term eventually came to an end at 760 AD, by one of his own Seduloused, that turned against him, overthrowing his leadership in a coup.

Syal's eyes widened as he read the final sentence, his mind reeling with the implications. He couldn't help but wonder what had driven the Fated to turn against Ethan Sawyer.

Syal's eyes continued to scan the pages of "History of Nation", learning more about the second leader of the country, Caleb Wallace.

According to the book, Caleb Wallace possessed the advanced mythical profession of "Dictator". With this profession, he was able to shape the country into a militarized state, which became his lasting legacy.

Syal's eyebrows rose as he read that Caleb served as the country's leader for a full 100 years, a remarkable feat considering the tumultuous history of the nation. It was even more surprising to learn that Caleb died of old age, rather than being overthrown or assassinated.

The third president, Jullian Bell, was quite an unusual choice, as there's no record of his mystical profession. It seems that Caleb, the previous president, passed away before a suitable replacement with a mythical profession could be found.

As a result, the country was forced to make a tough decision, and Jullian Bell was chosen to lead. During his term, a new law"was passed, limiting the presidential term to ten years. Additionally, in situations where no one with a suitable mythical profession is available, the council must vote to decide the presidency.

The fourth president's information was shrouded in mystery, with their name and many details about their term censored. The only thing that was clear was that their term had been unusually short, lasting only five years.

Syal's curiosity was piqued by the censorship, and he wondered what could have led to such secrecy. He continued to read on, hoping to find some clues or hints about the fourth president's mysterious term.

Syal read on, learning about the fifth president, Asher Chisels. Asher was a Sedulous with the advanced mythical profession of General, and his term was marked by the Great Continent War, which raged from 879 to 884 AD.

Unfortunately, Asher's term was cut short when he died in battle, ending his leadership after only five years. Syal couldn't help but feel a sense of respect for Asher's bravery and sacrifice.

The sixth president, Ksim, had a difficult time leading the country, as his term began in the midst of the ongoing war. Syal found that there was limited information available about Ksim's presidency, except that he managed to turn the tide of the war and emerge victorious.

Despite the challenges he faced, Ksim served out his full term of 10 years, a testament to his determination and leadership abilities. Syal wondered what other challenges Ksim might have faced during his presidency, and what other accomplishments he might have achieved. Syal born on his term.

The Seventh and Eight isn't written on history book.

Flynn Walkers, the seventh president, seems to be a bit of an enigma, with limited information available about his life and presidency. His term ended five years ago. Syal still kid when this president take his office.

Meanwhile the eight is still serve till now.
