CHAPTER:20 [Rebel's Oath] Part:01
After regaining his memories Kai left his consciousness, he opened his eyes in the dark room as walked out of the circle of runes…
(Haaaa…that was exhausting)
He signed as he fell on the soft bed and fell asleep…
Kai definitely saw a white glitchy screen but he couldn't understand it as he was already half asleep.

Kai went on with his usual routine, he ate his breakfast, and left for the academy. After a few days Kai finally noticed that the chaos inside him has become a lot more stable than his first time experience.
Kai returned to the dorm, tired from the work and took a long bath to relax, as he was sitting in the tub he noticed that his crack wasn't releasing the faint white illusory light it once did so he summoned his status window hoping for a decrease in the poisoning.

To his surprise the poisoning didn't decrease but he definitely saw a strange skill there.
He quickly got up and finished his bathing to check what was that skill, he left the bathroom and went to his room quickly, he locked the door behind him and said…
"DOMAIN"
instead of creating a domain around him he vanished from the dark room of his dorm and appeared above the white realm…

He initially thought that he had entered his consciousness but after checking for a while he noticed that he wasn't in a ghastly form and instead had appeared full physically.
He took a deep breath and felt his control over the foggy world, he waved his hand slightly and the world trembled, he took a step forward and the strange liquid that wrapped around his feet subsided and made a way for him.
Seeing that the fog was irritating he willed it to lift its veil from his world, unlike the world that trembled at his single movement the fog felt more like a soldier.
Kai noticed that fog seemed to have nodded before lifting its veil from the world, the fog lifted its veil and became clouds and Kai saw the bare beauty of this world, it was like a blank canvas it didn't had much color to offer him but it was far more beautiful than both of the world he lived in.
He walked for a while slowly enjoying the sight of the world but came to a stop when he saw a tree, it was an unusual tree a ridiculous tree and enormous tree it was the only thing in this whole world that was opposite of this world, the tree wasn't like the rest of the world it was dark and it was death, for the first time Kai noticed that this world was incomplete it felt like it was forcefully tore apart from its other half leaving only the tree as its last mark on this world.
Kai touched the tree but all he saw was darkness like Void.
As he was thinking about the tree's origins a pair of hands suddenly grabbed from the back…
"What the, who are you?"
The pair of hands released him from their embrace and converted into a figure made from the liquid with white eyes.
Kai's eyes gleamed with excitement at the sight of her, he thought she had died but it turned out she was always with him…
"Ita, you are ali–"
Before he could finish that sentence Ita suddenly gripped him in her embrace and Kai didn't even bother resisting as he teared up.
Every time Ita patted his head the pain that was weighing on his heart lessened, after a long pause of emotional reunion Kai calmed down and said as he wiped his tears…
"Ita what are you doing here, i thought you died with Nova."
Ita tilted her head and looked at Kai with a cute but stupified expression and tried to explain it through hand signs as she didn't have vocal cords but even she didn't know how to explain it to him which made her even more cute and stupified.
Kai smiled and told her to calm down, and summoned Nia to ask about her…
"Nia what's wrong with her?"
Kai turned his head toward Ita and saw that she was getting more tense as she couldn't explain, Kai patted her head to calm her down and said…
"Nia can i do something for her."
Kai thought about it for a moment then said…
"Do it"
A circle of runes appeared where Ita was sitting then a sudden burst of light engulfed the entire realm.
After a while the light vanished and Ita figure came into sight she now looked a little more corporeal, as Kai watched this marvel happen a different white screen appeared before him.

Kai's jaw dropped at the sight of her stats but also laughed as he said…
"When you said the creature of Chaos are stupid, i thought you meant that as they are fanatic."
Kai also noticed that she was actually an angel but the incomplete part bother him…
"Nia what does this incomplete mean?"
Kai made a guess as he looked at the tree and thought that maybe it is related to that tree but stopped as there was no way to know about what happened to this world.
Ita and the screen entered Kai left and created a small trident shaped seal on it, Kai released the domain and was automatically teleported to his room, he walked towards a wooden side table and looked at digital clock that was on it, it was (3:23 AM) Kai took a deep sigh and collapsed on the silky soft bed.

Beep..beep..beep.beep
The alarm was ringing loudly in Kai ears but he didn't seemed to wake up, Ita that was now in Kai left hand summoned herself and appeared above Kai sleeping body staring with affection at his face.
Beep..beep..beep..beep
At some point the annoying beeping of the alarm woke Kai up, Kai slowly opened his tired eyes and saw white eyes staring right into his eyes.
Aaaaaaa
Beep..beep..beep..click.
Kai sat straight on his bed as he off the alarm and looked at the corporeal and incorporeal figure of Ita that was looking at him with glee even with voice or mouth Kai could now understand what was going on in her head.
Kai took a deep breath and said after a long pause…
"Ita please don't scare me like that."
She nodded then entered the trident shaped seal on Kai's hand, Kai returned to his normal routine of time wasting, he ate, he went to the academy and at the end of the day went to sleep.

Three months passed since then and during the entire time Ita always appeared to play with his sleeping face.
Kai woke up from his and like always Ita was playing with his face poking and stretching it…
Beep..beep..beep..click.
"Ita, i told you not to play with my face."
Like always she nodded and entered her seal, Kai wore his uniform and left his room to eat breakfast, at the table like always no one spoke as they finished their breakfast and then they left for the academy.
Kai and the rest entered their classroom and sat at their designated Seats, the teacher came and started yapping about history of before the cataclysm, she went on for hours about a history that has been clearly fabricated.
Ding..ding..ding..dong
The class ended but before leaving the teacher gave an announcement to the class…
"Tomorrow is a party so you don't have to come early morning but instead be present at the hall."
One of the students asked…
"What type of party it is?"
The teacher sighed as she said…
"It's a ball."
Feng Lin lauged as he said…
"Pretty fancy isn't it, i didn't know the people of the so called nobel republic had so much free time on their hand."
The expression of the suddenly became serious as she said…
"This is no laughing matter, everyone of you had to be present at that party no excuses allowed, a lot of powerful people will be there so make sure to take your formal suits from your dorm master when you returned."
And left the classroom as she said that, Kai went on with things in the academy and returned to the dorm to pick the dress they prepared for him.
Verda handed his suit which was still wrapped in a luxurious case, Kai then entered his room and changed into normal clothes and started thinking for a way to sneak quietly and then remembered Ita skill…
"Ita"
As he mentioned her name she summoned came out of the seal still in that liquidy figure…
"Ita, morph into me."
Ita changed her shape and face matching Kai, suddenly a pale deeply scarred and deformed face with curly black hair appeared.
It was his face but he felt disgusted just by looking at it and said…
"That's enough you can enter your seal for now."
Ita tilted her head then changed into her original form and entered the seal, Kai then left the room for dinner.
After eating their dinner they went to sleep.

Kai woke up late as there was no academy tomorrow, he washed his face and had a late breakfast at (2:46 PM) he then roamed around outside of the dorm till afternoon.

After taking a bath Kai wore a perfectly tailored black suit that hugged his broad frame. The dark fabric made his pale, cracked skin stand out even more, giving him the appearance of a predator dressed in civilized clothing.
He adjusted the blood-red tie that felt like a noose around his neck. The formal black suit only made his dead eyes look colder.
He then summoned Ita and said…
"Remember this, you just have to look like this in the party okay, I'm pretty sure no one is going to ask for a dance so just be me for a while."
Ita nodded and entered her seal, Kai then left the room and saw that everyone was ready.
He looked at Dona first, she appeared in a sleek white evening gown that clung to her body like a second skin. The silver embroidery shimmered like celestial runes, making her look both beautiful and untouchable…
(Sighed….. even if i hate her, she really is beautiful beyond reason.)
He then looked at Shino, he looked unnaturally refined in a tailored black suit with silver accents. The angelic face paired with the sharp cut of the suit made him look like a fallen saint among wolves.
He then looked at Feng Lin, he wore a luxurious crimson suit with gold embroidery, the kind only high nobles could afford. It screamed wealth and arrogance, perfectly matching his smug expression…

As he was looking around his eyes met Tina, her pale pink dress hugged her petite body gently, with lace accents that gave her an almost doll-like appearance. Her excited expression and short stature made her stand out like a flower in a field of thorns.
Tina looked at him and blinked at his flabbergasted expression waved at him, Kai smiled and waved back at her before she was called by Dona…
(She look unusually cute today.)

After a while when everyone was ready they left the dorm and waited outside…
(How are we going to get to the hall?)
As Kai finished this thought a black long car arrived at their location…
(Did they really sent a limo for a bunch of students?)
Dona opened the door and entered it, soon one by one everyone entered it after a while they arrived at ball room.
A long red carpet was laid for the guest, Kai looked up ahead of the group to catch a glimpse of the hall.
The grand hall was opulent and suffocating at the same time. Massive crystal chandeliers hung from the high ceiling, casting cold golden light over hundreds of nobles dressed in expensive suits and gowns. Marble floors gleamed underfoot while dark crimson banners bearing the academy's crest draped the walls. The air was thick with tension, perfume, and unspoken threats.
Kai really didn't want to go in there and was looking around for a blind spot to sneak away then suddenly a luxurious car came and stopped at the end of the carpet, a guard came and opened it's door.
A wave of silence swept across the ballroom as the Duke family made their entrance.
Leading them was Duke Valerian himself — a tall, imposing man in a deep midnight-black suit embroidered with golden threads. His sharp eyes scanned the room like a predator surveying its territory. Behind him walked his wife, the Duchess, in a flowing crimson gown that radiated both elegance and danger. Flanking them were their children and retainers, all dressed in matching dark formal wear that screamed wealth and untouchable status.
The moment they stepped inside, the atmosphere grew heavier. Even the nobles who had been laughing and chatting a second ago lowered their voices. The Duke family didn't just enter — they dominated the space.
As they were the entire Elite class stepped aside from their way toward the ball and bowed to them as they went past them.
As everyone bowed their heads for the Duke's family Kai seized his chance and summoned Ita as he hide behind the wall.

After a long while everyone entered the ball room with guards as well and sealed shut the door, soon there was only the sounds of crickets outside.
Kai shielded his legs and ran towards the academy that was a little far from the hall, Kai entered the academy and started searching for that Statue in the maze like academy.
After few twists and turns he finally found the statue of the women with a grimoire, he went forward and placed his hand on the crack filled black Statue and said…
"FORTE INVERTUM"
