Chapter 9 - Plans

"Young Master, I might not be able to leave early. There is a problem in the Coastal City."

Alfred spoke with a serious tone.

"What is it?"

Tyler asked.

"There have been sightings of fishmen around that city. Although the numbers are considerably low, it is still a rare sight."

"Fishmen usually do not travel to the land unless it is an island. That's why I need to go with you. I can't let Young Master take such a huge risk."

"This could be an invasion."

Alfred spoke with a serious tone.

Tyler waved his hand and said.

"Coastal City is a big fortress. Our clan has spent millions of gold coins just to build a proper city in that area."

"Although due to its long distance from the Kirito Region, it hasn't received proper development, it is still a big city."

"And, I am going to be the leader of that city. Unless you think they are going to revolt against my clan's rule, nothing will happen. I can keep it safe."

"Your job is more important, Alfred. Only after I gain the Three-Yang Body or the Six-Yang Body, I will be able to cultivate in peace."

Hearing that, Alfred paused. He wanted to change Tyler's mind, but Tyler wasn't wrong.

Unless there was a revolution in the city, it was basically a big fortress. With its strength, they could easily hold on against the fishmen even in an invasion.

But despite that, he was worried. After all, his only mission in life was to protect Tyler.

In fact, he didn't understand Tyler's mentality. Did Tyler not understand the danger of an invasion?

Of course, he did! That's why he selected Yellowstone Mine. Compared to other mines, a big city was built around it.

So when Tyler was thinking about the mines, he realized that if he chose an extremely bad mine, it wouldn't be enough to support Erena's cultivation.

If he chose an extremely good mine, he wouldn't have the strength to protect it from regular invasion.

Invasions weren't rare. Since mines would often hold a lot of their resources in the mines or nearby, these cities would be invaded at any moment.

Many times, by bandits, many times, by other families, and sometimes, it would be done by other creatures like monster beasts.

So, he had to select a mine that wasn't extremely rich but still had good security.

Yellowstone Mine produced a special metal ore used to forge weapons around the world. Thus, it was an important mine for the clan.

But at the same time, it could also be found in other places, so it wasn't rare. It's just that their clan had a bigger share in the market of this metal.

With its city's strength, protecting this mine wouldn't be a problem, especially with Erena around.

Letting Alfred leave was a risky move, but his cultivation mattered. He was currently in a vicious cycle.

His original technique was extremely powerful, but he couldn't practice it because of a certain restriction.

His second technique was a Dual Cultivation, and he had an item to utilize this technique to its fullest.

Only for him to find out that his body wasn't made for Dual Cultivation.

He had a chance to use his original technique, but to overcome that restriction, his cultivation must improve.

But he couldn't improve his cultivation since it would destroy his body. But if he didn't cultivate, he would never be able to practice that technique.

In other words, he was stuck, and the only way out was to improve his body.

Thankfully, resources like that pill could help him reduce its effect temporarily. To make it permanent, he needed a proper physique.

And so he had no choice but to send Alfred away. Only he could find the method to obtain that physique within the shortest time possible.

'Now that I think about it, I need to make a proper plan. The more I explore this world, the more variables appear.'

Just three days ago, he was only thinking about cultivating hard if he awakened a good technique or simply giving up if he awakened a weak technique.

But in just one night, everything changed. He found a new mystery in his body, surrounding his family and his technique.

When he found solutions for his previous problems, new problems kept coming. He hadn't even reached the first level.

This was the most frustrating part.

In other words, he had comprehended the power of a cultivator as a normal person. That was simply impossible.

Even though he had read a lot of cultivation books, that didn't mean he had seen anything.

The closest he had seen something related to a cultivator was a guy who made flying swords out of drones.

'Man! I feel like my head is going to explode. No, I need to calm down and make a simple plan.'

'Let's divide my whole cultivation journey into four parts. Finding resources, Improving Cultivation, Understanding the Tower, and Unveiling My Parents' mystery.'

'The last two parts are out of my reach. So, let's just think about finding resources and improving cultivation.'

'Now, let's talk about the good and bad aspects of these two parts. Good thing about finding resources is that my parents have left a shortcut.'

'With those coins and Alfred, I don't need to worry about finding resources. Bad thing is finding those resources.'

'Cultivation world is, after all, a world where might is right. If I don't have the strength to protect my resources, they will take them away.'

'Only some people can be trusted with the knowledge of my resources. So, I can't get more than five resources from the Star Plasma Pavilion until I understand the impact of revealing those coins.'

'Now, let's talk about improving cultivation. The good thing is that my technique can improve, and I have two techniques.'

'The bad thing is that my current technique is too low-level. Even if I use resources, I am still having problems in my cultivation.'

'So, let's compare these two parts. My resources can speed up my cultivation, but I can't use too many resources.'

'Good thing is that I can't improve my cultivation fast, so I won't need to get a lot of resources from there.'

'Now, let's make a goal!'

He held his cheek, resting on his palm as he contemplated his current goal. Since his goal was cultivation, he must give it the right deadline.

'A year! Within a year, I must reach the Treasured Body Realm. Until then, I will not think too much or make too many goals.'

Thinking about it, Tyler released a deep breath. Finally, he had a proper plan in his mind.

Now, he had to think about the variables that could appear in the future.

'Invasion and Yang Body!'

'I need a countermeasure for both. I can't just rely on Erena or the city to fight against the invasion. I need Alfred's help if the situation becomes worse.'

'In that case, I might not be able to acquire the Yang Body. So, I will have no choice but to acquire another type of physique.'

'In that case, False Dragon Body is indeed a better option. Especially since it requires only two resources.'

'More importantly, I will be able to transform it into a True Dragon Body with the help of Primordial Chaos Pond.'

Thinking about it, Tyler asked.

"Alfred, can I get True Dragon Blood and Treasured Dragon Body Technique from the Star Plasma Pavilion?"

Alfred's eyes lit up, thinking his Young Master had finally decided to acquire the False Dragon Body.

"Yes, Young Master! Star Plasma Pavilion has at least one of the treasures. They acquired the True Dragon Blood a long time ago."

"As for the Treasured Dragon Body Technique, I know where it can be found. It's a trial near the borders of Star Forest and Azure Desert."

Hearing that, Tyler nodded.

Although the trial site was far, it was still accessible. Since he could buy the True Dragon Blood from the pavilion, he could simply ask Daisy to reserve it.

In that case, he didn't need to worry about his backup plan.

"Then, you will continue to search for clues about the Yang Body. Alfred, Yang Body is more important than False Dragon Body."

"I hope you understand this."

Alfred's smile disappeared, but upon hearing his words, he realized that Tyler was taking a calculated risk.

Upon realizing this, he sighed in relief.

"If you have already planned this, I will happily search for the Yang Body."

"Don't worry about my situation!"

Tyler nodded.

As he noticed his body recovering, he decided not to cultivate. He needed a full recovery before he started his cultivation.

One thing about cultivation was that fast cultivation wasn't always better.

Especially in his situation, he didn't want to break his body before he could fully utilize its potential.

After all, he still had a second technique. No matter how slow his current cultivation is, it would only skyrocket upon reaching the next realm.
