***Four days after the awakening of the Apocalyptic-level Abnormality***
|Operation Log 2|
***1st Ground Division | Operation: Rescue of Army General Dan Scikder***
**Florida**
**POV: Body camera of operative Sergeant Lockhead**
**Mission Difficulty: Impossible**
*Tssststs*
The camera feed being broadcast flickered as it slowly cleared. In its perspective stood Sergeant Lockhead, an operative participating in this mission. Blonde hair, tall—the usual look expected from a confident individual...
However... all one could see from him was pure fear.
The scientists had pinned the body camera onto his vest, and what was shown was a sleek military transport truck moving swiftly through broken-down roads.
Even after the goddess awakened, the sun had not returned. It was dark and cold. Occasionally, screams would echo, and horrific roars and laughter would ring out. In the sky, countless Abnormal entities floated—ghosts, massive birds, and hideous, unknown creatures.
The truck rolled slowly toward the military base, and when it arrived, the base did not look good.
The gate was broken. Lights were out. Bodies were strewn everywhere—some missing heads, some ripped in half, others with their stomachs open and organs missing.
"Command, do you copy? Over," Lockhead said into his comms device.
"Yes, we copy. Over."
"Do you see this feed?"
"We see the feed. Move in. Signs of life are still being detected by our vitals machine. Over."
I clutched my gun—something that had proven over and over to be useless against these... monsters...
No.
Abnormalities, as the system calls them.
The first day after the goddess awakened, the system appeared before us. It was not some golden interface meant to boost power—everyone had it. Everyone in the multiverse.
It was created by the Genesis-level Abnormalities |EQUALITY|, serving as the central tutorial—|GEN X ASSISTANT|—that newly invaded planets could use. The GEN X ASSISTANT was something one could design themselves once they had enough power.
The system established safe zones across the planet where people could gather, recover, and regroup. It also provided guidance on how to capture and contain Abnormalities—and how to use them.
Their abilities.
Their blood for materials.
Their skin and bones for weaponry and armor.
It also provided information on how to build containment facilities capable of holding anomalies. This construction was assisted by rapid technological advancement, with drones building massive containment structures inside safe zones, which were quickly claimed by the government.
A few of the people who linked with these Abnormalities began to appear. They were given the name "Anomalies," followed by the Abnormality's number and the number of linked individuals.
One example is the captain of this operation. He linked with a shark-related Abnormality.

---
OMEGA
Superhuman strength and reflexes. Speed comparable to a fast car. Bullets can injure but struggle to stop them.
BETA DECAY
Peak-human pushed beyond limits. Faster than vehicles in short bursts. Can shrug off most gunfire; heavy weapons required to neutralize.
HOLLOW CLASS
Physically superior to any human force. Reaction speed borders precognition. Conventional weapons are largely ineffective.
VEILBREACH
Capable of wiping out squads effortlessly. Moves faster than tracking systems. Only sustained heavy military force can slow it.
WHISPER-LEVEL
Equivalent to a full military battalion. Near-immortal to standard weaponry. Requires extreme ordnance or specialized containment.
OBSERVER MARKED
Capable of destroying entire city blocks with ease. Presence alone destabilizes structures and electronics.
NULL STATE
City-wide threat. Can level districts rapidly. Resistant to all known military weapons.
FLESHBOUND
Consumes or corrupts entire cities. Spreads uncontrollably. Cannot be stopped by conventional means.
EYES OPEN
Total city annihilation possible within minutes. Effects extend beyond physical destruction—mental and environmental collapse.
TIME-SPLINTER
Erases or fractures entire cities. Damage may persist across temporal anomalies.
UNBOUND APEX
Capable of destroying half a planet. Massive, unstoppable force beyond any military response.
LAWBREAKER
Reality-distorting entity. Can erase continents or destabilize planetary structure entirely.
BEYOND VEIL
Cosmic-level entity. Can destroy planets with minimal effort. Exists partially outside reality.
APOCALYPTIC
Multi-planetary threat. Capable of wiping out entire planetary systems over time.
GENESIS
Origin-class entity. Creates or destroys planets casually. Potentially responsible for the existence of all anomalies.

Multiple humans can link with an Abnormality; however, future potential decreases with more people linked. Therefore, Abnormalities linked with fewer individuals result in far greater power.

Knowing that we had an Anomaly with us during this mission helped calm my nerves...
However, entering the building shattered all of that confidence.
Blood stains splattered across the walls. Bodies everywhere. Lights flickering on and off as we slowly walked through the interior of the military base.
Step by step, I moved through the corridors with my comrades, my gun pointed at anything that moved.
It was silent.
Only the flickering of lights.
We kept walking deeper into the hallways as I grew more and more tense. My gut was telling me something was about to happen.
We slowly approached the elevator leading to the deepest parts of the base...
*BOOM*
An explosion rang out as a spider-like creature burst through the wall and pierced one of my comrades through the back.
His soulless eyes stared at me as blood slowly dripped down.
One down. Twenty soldiers left.
I immediately opened fire on the Abnormality, the bullets bouncing off its body—though some pierced through as it screeched and spat out a massive ball of magma, killing two soldiers instantly.
It was horrifying.
Their bodies began to melt as they screamed. The smell—like burning pork, as disgusting as it was to admit—filled the air as their organs sizzled and burned.
Three down. Seventeen left.
The captain moved.
He leapt into the air, his body turning into a flash of electricity, instantly appearing before the spider as it screeched. Arcs of electricity jumped across its body—it was roughly the size of a military transport truck.
The light nearly blinded me. I couldn't keep up with the speed at which the captain moved.
Then suddenly—he stopped.
And chanted.
*Hydro Pulse.*
Gentle pulses left his body...
We felt nothing.
But the spider—
It collapsed.
It looked like its insides had been destroyed, as if something within it had simply... died.
I stared at the man who had just killed that creature like it was nothing.
A man stronger than even an army tank.
We slowly entered the elevator, and it closed with a heavy thud. As it descended, everyone raised their weapons toward the doors.
When it reached the bottom—
The doors opened.
And we opened fire.
