Chapter 30 - Chapter 30:Ripples of desire

Dawn found Ava back at her apartment, sketching furiously on her tablet. The warehouse session had unlocked something feral in her creativity. Lines flowed with sensual grace — arches that mimicked the curve of a lover's spine, spaces that invited touch and echo.

But sleep brought dreams that blurred reality.

In the dream, she stood in the completed atrium ten years hence. Sunlight poured through vast glass panels. Theo was there — tall, dark-haired, with eyes like storm clouds and hands that knew architecture and sin equally well. He pressed her against one of the pillars she'd helped design, mouth hot on her neck.

"Every choice you make is foreplay," he growled against her skin. "And I'm starving."

She woke gasping, sheets tangled, body slick with sweat. The R18 hunger was no longer subtle; it clawed at her.

That night, she returned to the site with fresh resolve. "Theo, we need to talk about the risks."

His laugh was low and dangerous. "Talking is overrated when I can feel your heartbeat through the concrete."

She described the dream. He listened, then responded with commands that made her blush furiously.

"Strip for the building tonight, Ava. Let the space see you. Let me see you through time."

Heart pounding, she complied in the shadowed atrium — clothes discarded on the floor, skin bare to the cool air and his invisible gaze. His voice became a full sensory experience: describing touches, pressures, rhythms. He told her exactly how he'd take her in the finished structure — slow and deliberate against the glass, or wild and possessive on the upper walkway overlooking the river.

The architectural work intertwined with the seduction. She adjusted acoustic panels for "perfect resonance" — his words for how her moans would carry. She widened a hidden alcove "for privacy" — meant for stolen moments across timelines.

Climax built in waves. Ava arched against a beam, crying out as phantom hands and his voice pushed her over the edge. Pleasure crashed through her, intense and time-defying.

But the aftermath brought pain.

Static exploded. Theo's voice distorted violently. "Ava— the thread— it's fraying. Your desire... it's beautiful, but it's pulling me apart. One more night like this and I might not reach you again."

She dressed quickly, panic mixing with afterglow. "Then stop. Tell me how to fix it."

"Finish the core design," he said faintly. "Make it strong enough to anchor us both. Beauty and possession... they have power here."

The echo faded earlier than usual, leaving her with a terrifying realization: their connection was becoming addictive, and time was jealous.
