The day smelled of smoke and fear as everyone ran to safety upon hearing the orders given to them by Sango.
"Move to the western exit quickly," a royal guard shouted, his voice sharp over the noise.
"Move as quick as possible leave all valuables, anything thats not a person should be left behind quickly, nothing is worth risking your life," another guard called.
Screams of people echoed through the village square like banshees. within seconds the square was as calm as the clear sky, nothing dared made a sound, even the animals where nowhere to be found, they all ran for refuge. Only dust and silence remained.
Near a oak tree at the city square, the lieutenant whispered, "Captain do you think we should also leave, cause i fear this maybe more than what we bargained for, this is Sango, we can't literally tell what he is going to do."
The captain watched Sango closely. "To sum it up, you want us to run right ? well that won't be a bad idea if Sango was to engage in battle, then we would have the slightest change of surviving, but with what im seeing, Sango doesn't have an eye for blood here," he said.
"Eyes for blood ?"
"Yeah trust me, ive seen his eye when he is out for blood before and this is not it."
"Then what eye is that then captain ?"
"That is in fact, those are the eyes of a father to his son."
"What!!! don't tell me that , is that inrelevant thing sango's son, how did that happen, did he get married to the devil, i choose not to believe captain," the lieutenant said, face turning red.
"You're still as naive as ever lieutenant, let me ask you something, do one need a reason to be compassionate ? He doesn't need to be his son in order for his fatherly insticnt to become active," the captain replied.
"Fatherly instinct for a thing like that," the lieutenant muttered. His head was as red as a burning ore due to what he is hearing his emotions were overflowing due to what he was seeing, words could not comprehend what he was feeling at the moment.
Sango stood before the kneeling boy. "Been a while rosewalt," he said.
"I could say the same to you SANGO," Captain Rosewalt answered.
Sango laughs transcended the environs calmly and gentle to the ear.
"So what brings you here Sango, after all you haven't even bothered to visit once in three years," Rosewalt asked.
"Apologies rosewalt I've been busy, work haven't given me chance you understand right."
"Save me the story so what brings you here today is it him."
"No, I actually came here for a different reason but i've been sidetracked by him."
"So who is he ? How did he get here," Sango asked.
"Even i wish i knew, all I know is that orders were given to bring the boy to the palace dead of alive."
"Hmmmmmm i see and who gave you the order ?"
"The orders were given by sir Leopold."
"Ohhhhhhhh that runt," Sango sighed deeply.
"Well leave this kid to me ill be taking care of him," he said.
"But sango!!! that uncalled for, why!!! Would you want to take care of a thing like it-why???? that thing isn't meant to be alive or even talking to people, talkless of people on your caliber SANGO!!!" the lieutenant shouted.
Captain Rosewalt was in total disarray he couldn't place the words that were to leave his mouth he was just dumbfounded upon hearing what his lieutenant has said.
"Where you permitted to speak you cretin? ? ? how dare you speak when im talking seems like you dont know how things work over here maybe i should make an example out of you so you'll have enough time to reminese what you've just said in HELL," Sango word came out hash like magma coming out of a volcano melting everything it came in contact with.
"Apologies Sango my deepest apologies on what my subordinate said he is foolish and today he has not been mentally stable cause if he was he won't have spoken to you in that regard," Rosewalt said quickly.
"Okay no problem you may head back to your quarters, I'll be paying you a visit before i leave here."
"Alright sango I'll await your visit, now lieutenant let's go."
His gaze was still upon the kid like a tiger stalking its pray.
"I said lieutenant let's go I won't say it again unless you want to be killed ."
"Yes sir."
Now the market was in total scernity not a single noise was made everything was still, tension was heavy as no one of them has spoken a single word—then a question broke the silence a question that carries a lot of mystery.
"Why is your skin BLACK," SANGO asked the boy.
