Chapter 1 - ♪♪Death Of A Dumbass♪♪

New Book, new chapter! Hope you enjoy!

_________

{THIRD POV}

[Location - ???]

'Say it ain't so?!!' The young floating soul shouted in it's head towards the empty void, it's only inhabitants being him and the large omnipresent being in front of him.

"Oh, but it is true." The being, which was basically a wide smile, spoke back with it's wide grin betraying it's smug words. "I still can't believe it myself, your death is just hilarious to me!"

"HAHAHHAHHAAHHAA!!!"

The wide smile broke out and laughed in such a way, it seemed like an amalgamation of different voices mixed up together.

Best way to describe it was an entire crowd of people laughing together which didn't really help how the lost soul was feeling at the moment.

The young soul was but a young teen, probably around 17 years of age. He was a decent looking lad and of average height, but nothing spectacular about him.

He found himself in a decent university and lived his best life in college, despite the fact that he was studying in the Mechatronics Engineering course.

He wasn't all that smart, he had a good head in his shoulders and that was pretty much it. But he had three major weakness, he was a cartoon nerd, people pleaser and a romantic.

He had a crush on a girl of his class and while the two were good friends, he wanted to be more. So he decided to try and impress her with his skills in the lab.

Suffice to say, it didn't go so well and it ended with him getting beheaded by a rogue saw blade.

"HAHHAHAHHA!!!! Oh God, it's funny every time I play it back, hahaha!" The being said as he conjured a cable TV to replay the exact moment of his death multiple times with a big bucket of buttered popcorn floating where it's hands could be.

"Ok," The being panted out as it tried to catch whatever breath it was breathing, "I've had a good laugh now it's time for your Isekai."

That made the soul perk up as it drifted a little closer towards the large smile. It had watched lots of shows and read multiple different books, he couldn't decide which one he wanted.

"Who said you were going to choose?" That stopped the soul's thought process.

"I decide what you want and I picked the right universe for you." The being continued.

'Well, it better than nothing. After he chooses, I'll see if I can ask for a wish and—'

"Yeah, you ain't getting one of those too. Bye, have fun in your new life!" It dropped the soul into a portal under it's 'feet' before the soul could protest it's grievances.

The memories...they came rushing in at blinding speeds... fractured pieces of the full picture...

I saw a young boy, cold and lonely, neglected by those he called his parents.

I couldn't make out their faces as they were obscured by thick black smoke, yet I could feel their disapproving stare.

I remember the distant shouts he heard that kept him out at night. Sometimes they'd be about other things, most times it'd be about him.

The boy tried everything—good grades, part time jobs, a great reputation that benefitted the family but it just wasn't enough—it was never enough to please.

I then saw how the boy slowly gave up, how he felt himself break and his mind nearly shatter but, for some reason he held on. Make that two reasons.

Two small ghosts held onto each of his leg, hiding behind him while he protected them from the two larger ghosts 's shouts. It brought a smile to my face if I had one right now.

I then felt a sudden pull, my body was being pulled through the limbo at light speeds. More memories and voices rushed past me as I felt my consciousness absorb them all.

It was so overwhelming that I gripped my head in my hands as I felt my head feel like it was being spilt open.

The ghosts were getting aggressive—one hit the boy hard for talking back, the other scolded him. He said something... something really bad that must have triggered them.

They hit the boy way harder than before, leading to a permanent mark on his life.

A soft blurred out voice called out to me...how did I know it was me? It wasn't my name that was being called.

'...ate...'

'...Ma...o...'

'...Mat....'

'MATEO!!!'

{??? POV}

[Location - ???]

I jolted up from what appeared to be my short nap, wiping the line of drool from the corner of my mouth. I look outside the window of a parked bus to see a strange building in front of us.

"Mateo, are you awake?" A young feminine voice asked me. I looked down to a young girl with long brown hair, braces on her teeth, round blushing cheeks and wide eyes . staring up at me while tugging on my sleeve.

Next to her was a boy her own age that looked like her except he had shorter, messier hair, no braces and bags underneath his eyes.

'No way...is that...?!'

"Dipper...Mabel...?" My voice came out slurred out and tired but even though it wasn't my own, I heard enough about it to recognize it.

'Holy shit, is that Yuri? I sound like fucking Yuri Lowenthal!!'

"That's our names, don't wear it out!" Mabel said in a cheerful tone.

"The bus stopped a few minutes ago, we're at our stop...at least I think we are. I hope we didn't just get shipped off all the way out to nowhere." Dipper said as he climbed down from his seat and went to pick up his travelling bags.

'Oh my FUCKING GOD, I'M IN GRAVITY FALLS!! This is so insane, oh my God I'm freaking out so much! This is amazing! Wait, am I Dipper and Mabel's brother?! I feel older than them, this is so crazy!'

Then the realization settled in as I deflated in my seat.

'... I'm in Gravity Falls....that smiling bastard sent me to Gravity Falls...'

"...fuck..." I muttered out before I could stop myself.

"OHHHHHH, YOU SAID A BAD WORD!!" Mabel exclaimed out with a wide grin on her face.

"Dude please try not to curse anymore around Mabel, we can't have any more....incidents..." Dipper said with a shudder as he got off the bus.

"S-sorry, I'm just a little worn out." I got off my seat and went to get whatever I traveled with.

After we all got off the bus, we stood in front of a rundown tourist site.

'There it is. The Mystery Shack.' I thought with barely contained glee.

We walked towards the building and stepped onto the porch, the creaking sounds of the floor reached our ears with each step.

I paused at the porch as I examined my reflection in a large mirror. I was pretty worried on how I would look since this is a cartoon world and not many of them bothered to changed their character's appearance so I was stuck with whatever I got.

And I was actually pleased with how I looked.

I was relatively tall for my age, maybe as tall as how most teens were in this world, with a pale skin complexion similar to the Pine twins. I had freckles that went over the bridge of my sharp upturned nose and across my cheeks. I wore a pair of Wayfarer glasses over my brown eyes which had some feint bags underneath them. I noticed a feint scar on his left eyebrow, something I wasn't comfortable with. I had messy shoulder length, light auburn hair that was tied in a low ponytail and like my siblings, I had a similar small tuft at the back of my head.

My outfit wasn't bad either as I was mostly dressed in a casual outfit. I wore a dark blue puffer vest with a light blue hood lining over a long-sleeved, collared flannel shirt featuring a red, white, & blue plaid pattern, a pair of army green skinny-fit pants, a pair of black socks and a pair of dark brown chukka boots.

I looked good, like really good. I have to thank whatever being that god was because he sure knew how to design me.

I stopped appreciating myself in the mirror and went to knock on the door before Dipper and Mabel broke it down.

'Alright, this is it. Here we go.'
