Chapter 9 - Macky - Natasha

I've never actually made out with anyone. But based on what I know, Macky is an amazing kisser. I know I already told him that, but I can't help saying it again.

"You're an amazing kisser."

"You told me that already." He smiles.

"But it doesn't make it any less true," I reply. He kisses me again; his hand is still pressed against my belly.

We faintly hear the echo of Spring's door opening, and Macky pulls back, removing his hands. I pull my hands out from under his shirt, and he releases me. I walk over to the fountain to hide the fact that we've been kissing. He seems to understand and strides to one of the benches.

Macky's dad appears around a corner in the path.

"Hey kids," he says expectantly, as if one of us would confess. But he doesn't seem interested in what we have been doing. "Dinner will be ready in twenty minutes. And Natasha, you're welcome to stay if you'd like." I turn to face John.

"Sure, I'll stay for dinner," I say. I can't quite make out Macky's expression, but I can tell he's a little tense.

"Twenty minutes," John repeats and then disappears.

"Wanna just walk around?" Macky asks, standing up, and I join him. We walk close together, hand in hand.

We talk for roughly fifteen minutes about life, our relationship, the coronavirus, and the end of the world. We make our way back to the house, and the conversation stays easy and unforced.
