"Excuse me?" Alex's eyes narrowed.
"I said, the child that Emily is carrying is yours isn't it?" Victoria punched the words, making sure to be clearly heard.
Alex had taken a minute to regain his composure from the initial freeze and when he finally did, he refused to let Victoria see through him.
Alex heaved a heavy sigh. "Don't be apophenia, Victoria. Looking for an agenda where there is none isn't going to help you. Tony already had a DNA testing done and it ascertained the child was his." He walked up to her, looking straight into her eyes. "How about you focus on getting hands on Cosgrove's money for Tony, maybe you will be able to save your head from his blade."
Alex stormed off but Victoria wasn't done. Her eyes trailed him, not believing for one second he wasn't the father.
The next morning while Alex stood by the coffee maker, brewing his usual early morning coffee.
