Chapter 7 - CHAPTER 7 DESTINY LOVE

Some people come into your life by chance.

But some…

Feel like they were always meant to be there.

The night after the attack changed everything.

Zoya was no longer just a part of Aariz's life.

She was a part of his world.

And his world…

Was not easy.

The danger didn't disappear.

It never did.

But something else grew stronger.

Their bond.

Days passed, and Zoya found herself spending more time at the house.

Not as a prisoner.

Not as someone forced to stay.

But as someone who chose to be there.

She still visited the bookstore.

Still met Sana.

Still lived her life.

But now…

Aariz was a part of it.

Not controlling.

Not forcing.

Just… present.

One evening, Zoya sat in the garden again.

The same place where fear once lived.

Now, it felt different.

Peaceful.

"You like this place," Aariz said, standing beside her.

"I do," she replied.

"Why?"

Zoya smiled softly.

"Because it reminds me how things can change."

Aariz looked at her.

"Change is not always good."

"Neither is staying the same," she replied.

He didn't argue.

Because deep down…

He knew she was right.

Later that night—

Zoya couldn't sleep.

Not because of fear.

But because of a strange feeling.

Something felt off.

She got up and walked toward the hallway.

The house was quiet.

Too quiet.

Then she heard voices.

Low.

Serious.

She moved closer.

Aariz was talking to someone on the phone.

"…I don't care what it takes," he said.

"End this before it reaches her."

Zoya's heart tightened.

He was still hiding things.

Still fighting battles alone.

Without telling her.

She stepped forward.

"Aariz."

He turned immediately.

His expression changed when he saw her.

"You should be asleep," he said.

"And you should be honest," she replied.

Silence.

The man on the phone spoke again, but Aariz ended the call.

"What did you hear?" he asked.

"Enough," Zoya said.

"You're still keeping things from me."

"I'm protecting you."

"No," she shook her head.

"You're shutting me out."

Aariz ran a hand through his hair.

"This is not something you need to be involved in."

"I already am," she said firmly.

Silence fell between them.

"You can't pick and choose when I'm part of your world," she continued.

"Either I'm in… or I'm out."

Those words hit him hard.

Because this time…

He had no answer.

The next day—

Zoya didn't come to the house.

She stayed away.

Not out of anger.

But to make him understand.

And Aariz noticed.

Of course he did.

He went to the bookstore.

For the first time.

Zoya looked up, surprised to see him there.

"You came here?" she asked.

Aariz looked around awkwardly.

"This place is smaller than I expected."

Zoya almost smiled.

"Why are you here?"

"To talk."

She closed the book in her hand.

"Then talk."

Aariz took a deep breath.

"I don't know how to do this," he admitted.

"Do what?"

"Let someone in… completely."

Zoya softened slightly.

"Then start now."

Silence.

"There are people after me," he said.

"I know."

"But it's bigger than you think."

"How big?"

Aariz looked at her.

"Big enough to destroy everything around me."

Zoya didn't step back.

"And you think hiding it will protect me?"

"Yes."

"It won't," she said.

"Why?"

"Because the truth always finds a way out."

He stayed quiet.

Because once again…

She was right.

That evening, Aariz told her everything.

Not every detail.

But enough.

About his past.

His enemies.

His world.

Zoya listened.

Not with fear.

But with understanding.

And when he finished—

She didn't walk away.

She stepped closer.

"We'll face it together," she said.

Aariz looked at her.

"Why are you so sure?"

Zoya smiled faintly.

"Because some things don't happen by accident."

"What do you mean?"

"You and me," she said.

Silence.

"Maybe this is not just love," she continued.

"Maybe it's something more."

"Like what?"

"Destiny."

The word felt strange.

But also…

Right.

Days passed again.

This time—

They didn't hide from the truth.

They faced it.

Together.

Aariz involved her in small decisions.

Trusted her more.

And Zoya?

She stood beside him.

Not behind him.

Not protected.

But equal.

One night—

They stood on the terrace.

The sky was clear.

Full of stars.

Zoya looked up.

"Do you believe in destiny?" she asked.

Aariz leaned against the railing.

"I believe in choices."

"And what if destiny is just a series of choices?"

He looked at her.

"Then we chose this."

Zoya smiled.

"Yes."

Silence.

But a peaceful one.

"Do you regret it?" he asked.

Zoya shook her head.

"Do you?"

Aariz didn't answer immediately.

Then finally—

"No."

That one word carried everything.

Suddenly—

A loud explosion echoed in the distance.

Both of them froze.

Aariz's expression changed instantly.

"They're getting closer," he said.

Zoya looked at him.

"Then we get stronger."

He nodded.

This wasn't just his fight anymore.

It was theirs.

For the first time—

Aariz didn't feel alone.

And for the first time—

Zoya didn't feel afraid.

Because whatever was coming next…

They would face it together.

Not by chance.

But by choice.

Or maybe…

By destiny.

The sound of the explosion still echoed in the air.

Not loud anymore.

But enough to remind them—

Peace was never permanent.

Zoya's heart raced.

But she didn't step back.

Not this time.

Aariz was already alert.

His eyes scanning the distance.

His mind calculating every possibility.

"We need to move," he said.

"Where?" Zoya asked.

"Somewhere safer."

Zoya looked at him.

"Or we stay and face it," she replied.

Aariz turned toward her.

"This is not something you can face like that."

"And running is?" she challenged.

Silence.

Aariz knew she wasn't wrong.

But he also knew—

This wasn't a simple fight.

"Trust me," he said.

Zoya held his gaze.

"I do," she replied.

"Then come with me."

This time—

She didn't argue.

They left immediately.

The night felt colder than before.

The car moved fast through empty roads.

Zoya looked outside the window.

Everything felt distant.

Like the world they once knew was far behind.

"Where are we going?" she asked softly.

"A place no one knows," Aariz replied.

She didn't ask more.

Because sometimes…

Not knowing felt safer.

After a long drive, they reached an isolated house.

Smaller than the last one.

Simpler.

Hidden.

Zoya stepped out slowly.

"This is different," she said.

"It's supposed to be," Aariz replied.

"No guards?"

"No attention."

She nodded.

For the first time—

His idea of safety didn't feel like a cage.

Inside, the house was quiet.

Too quiet.

But not uncomfortable.

Zoya walked around, observing everything.

"This feels… normal," she said.

Aariz leaned against the wall.

"I don't really do normal."

Zoya smiled slightly.

"Maybe you should try."

He looked at her.

"Maybe I am."

That night—

They sat in the living room.

No tension.

No arguments.

Just silence.

But this silence…

Was peaceful.

"Are you scared?" Aariz asked.

Zoya thought for a moment.

"Yes," she admitted.

"Then why are you still here?"

Zoya looked at him.

"Because I'm not just scared of your world…"

She paused.

"I'm scared of losing you too."

Aariz went still.

Those words—

Meant more than anything else.

Days passed in that hidden place.

For the first time—

Life slowed down.

No constant danger.

No sudden attacks.

Just them.

Zoya cooked sometimes.

Aariz tried to help—

And failed.

"You're terrible at this," she laughed.

"I don't cook," he replied.

"You don't live either," she teased.

He looked at her.

"Maybe I'm learning."

They talked more.

About things that had nothing to do with danger.

Dreams.

Childhood.

Future.

Things Aariz had never thought about before.

"Do you ever think about a life without all this?" Zoya asked one evening.

Aariz stayed quiet.

"I used to," he said finally.

"And now?"

He looked at her.

"Now it feels possible."

Zoya smiled.

"Good."

But destiny…

Never lets things stay simple.

One night—

Aariz received a message.

Short.

Direct.

Dangerous.

"We know where you are."

His expression darkened.

Zoya noticed immediately.

"What happened?"

"Nothing," he said.

She stepped closer.

"Don't lie."

Aariz looked at her.

"They found us."

Her heart dropped.

"So what now?"

"We leave."

"No," Zoya said.

Aariz frowned.

"We can't keep running forever."

"This is not about running," he said.

"Then what is it about?"

"Surviving."

Zoya shook her head.

"I don't want a life where we're always hiding."

Aariz stepped closer.

"And I don't want a life where you're in danger."

Silence.

Two truths.

Both real.

Both painful.

"Then we end it," Zoya said suddenly.

Aariz froze.

"What?"

"We stop them," she continued.

His expression hardened.

"It's not that simple."

"It never is," she replied.

"But we can't keep living like this."

Aariz looked at her.

"You're asking for a war."

Zoya met his gaze.

"Then we fight."

For a moment—

Everything went still.

Because this time—

She wasn't just standing beside him.

She was stepping into his world.

Completely.

Aariz took a deep breath.

"You don't know what that means."

"Then show me," she said.

Silence.

Then slowly—

He nodded.

The next few days changed everything.

Zoya saw more of his world.

The planning.

The strategy.

The danger.

But she didn't run.

She stayed.

Learned.

Understood.

One evening—

They stood outside, looking at the sky again.

But this time—

The stars felt different.

Closer.

Real.

"Do you still believe this is destiny?" Aariz asked.

Zoya smiled softly.

"Yes."

"Even now?"

"Especially now."

Aariz looked at her.

"Why?"

"Because no matter how hard it gets…"

She paused.

"I still choose you."

Those words—

Were stronger than fate itself.

Aariz stepped closer.

"And I choose you," he said.

No hesitation.

No fear.

Just truth.

And in that moment—

Everything felt clear.

Not easy.

Not safe.

But right.

Because some love stories are not meant to be simple.

They are meant to be fought for.

To be tested.

To be proven.

And maybe…

That's what destiny really is.

Not something written in the stars.

But something chosen…

Again and again.

No matter how dark the path gets.
