A/n suddenly doubled over laughing."HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
Saturo immediately pointed at him."What?!"
That only made the laughter worse.
A/n was now holding his stomach."HAHAHAHAHAHA!"
"Stop laughing!"
Saturo shouted.Then he paused."Wait."
His eyes narrowed suspiciously.
"Why is the title Absolute Drama?"
"Wasn't this chapter supposed to be Leaving the Nest?"
A/n immediately stopped laughing."Oh."
"That's about two... maybe fourchapters ahead."
Saturo blinked.
Then blinked again."You postponed in the script?"
A/n shrugged."Happens."
Saturo crossed his arms."Man, speed up the timeline."
A/n nodded thoughtfully."Okay."
"I promise you'll win the League and the Orange League before chapter one hundred."
Saturo's face brightened for exactly one second. Then his brain processed what had just been said.
"Wait."
His expression slowly twisted in horror.
"This is chapter forty-five."
A/n coughed into his fist."Ahem."
"Continue."
The scene immediately came to an abrupt halt.Reality itself seemed to rewind. The Pokémon Center vanished.
The narrator disappeared.
The insurance paperwork evaporated.
And just like that, everyone found themselves back inside Granny's room.
Nobody questioned it.They were long past questioning reality.
Granny adjusted her glasses and looked at Saturo with the expression of a teacher preparing to share ancient wisdom."Now then."
"The final lesson."
Saturo immediately felt danger.
"The Art of Bargaining."
For a brief moment, he relaxed.
Then Granny continued.
"Useful for negotiating with your little girlfriend."
Saturo nearly fell out of his chair.
For Granny, this was simply her sacred duty as a grandmother. Any signs of a childhood sweetheart, whether real or imagined, were to be exploited to the fullest extent possible.
Saturo's face turned bright red."For the last time!""She isn't my girlfriend!"
"She's my friend!"
Pop's immediately chimed in from the couch without even lowering his newspaper.
"Saturo.""How many times have we told you?""The truth doesn't change just because you don't like it."
Saturo slowly turned toward him.
His face twisted into the exact expression of a man who had been betrayed by his own family.
"Not you too."
Pop's simply nodded.
"Especially me."
Granny smiled triumphantly.Another successful critical hit.Saturo looked around desperately for support.
Outside the mansion, a carriage slowly rolled up the long dirt road leading toward the estate.
The ORIANA was jumping with excitement looking at such a large mansion .
Cynthia was stunned and was asking her grandmother about why had they come here in such a luxurious place when they were supposed to go to saturo's home.
The reason they came here was simply because granny and pop's invited clara or Cynthia's grandmother without explaining shit and the only reason they agreed was because a certain someone had stolen his documents and saturo hadn't even noticed.
Ofc it was Oriana and even Cynthia to a certain extent.
Inside the carriage sat a young girl with long blonde hair and sharp amber eyes.
Cynthia looked out the window quietly as the mansion came into view.
According to her grandmother, this was where she would be spending the next few days.
Unfortunately, her grandmother had forgotten to mention one important detail.
Namely—
Why the mansion looked like this was a freaking castle.
A/n : Remember Cynthia isn't the champion yet so it is normal for her to be shocked by a literall resort.
.
"..."
Cynthia blinked.
Then blinked again.
"Grandma.""Yes dear?"
"Why are we going to that castle are you sure that your aquantence's weren't pulling your leg.?"
Her grandmother looked outside.
"...""...good question ."
Meanwhile, inside the mansion—
Saturo was still suffering.
"For the last time!""She isn't my girlfriend!""She's my friend!"
Granny smiled.
"Oh?""So there is a girl."
Saturo immediately realized his mistake."THAT'S NOT WHAT I MEANT."
Pop's lowered his newspaper."Rookie mistake."
A/n nodded."Amateur move."
Saturo looked around the room. There was no support.None.Not even a little.
Just betrayal.
Everywhere.
Then—
Knock.
Knock.
The room fell silent.
Everyone turned toward the front door.
Granny stood up.
"Oh."
"That must be them."
Saturo blinked.
"Them? Whoo???"
Before anyone could answer, the front door opened.
A young blonde girl stepped inside.
For a moment, nobody spoke.
Cynthia's eyes moved across the room.
The suspiciously nervous adults.
The boy standing in the middle of it all.
Saturo's eyes widened.
Cynthia's eyes narrowed.
Both immediately pointed at each other.
"You."
The room froze.Granny's eyes lit up.Pop's newspaper slowly lowered.
A/n buried his face in his hands."Oh no."
The shipping has begun.
