Granny laughed.

Pop's nodded.
"The person we got it from had it for even longer , so if we are right it will teach him responsibility and give him a partner if he's lucky ."

No trade evolutions :- they ruin the point of the pokemon world and they are the worst .
So to replace them I making some kind of system to replace them and that can be acceptable.
But primarily if the Pokemon doesn't require and item then it will evolve like normal pokemon if it needed a trade evolution.
And if a pokemon needed an item then
The trainer needs to give them the item and
The pokemon that are holding the item
Need to be strong enough to handle them
If a pokemon trainer forces the evolution
The pokemon won't be able to evolve after the 2 nd time if they are being lucky that is
