Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Time Passes Leisurely

Spring went and autumn came. Five years passed, and it was now the year X772.

During these five years, the 8-year-old Riyao learned a lot from Granny Porlyusica. Granny Porlyusica smiled with relief—well, with a look of disdain, she took a broom and beat Riyao out of her house.

"You brat, don't you ever come back!"

"That won't do, Granny Porlyusica. I can't let you become a lonely old lady."

"Get out! Stop messing with my medicinal herbs! Besides, I hate humans!"

Riyao was chased by Granny Porlyusica for a whole mile because he had snatched another handful of herbs before leaving. Riyao shouted as he ran, "Granny Porlyusica, don't be mad! Just put it on the Old Man's tab!"

Porlyusica swung the broom with the force of a gale, and with a sudden strike, she swept Riyao flying a hundred meters away.

"Get lost!"

Riyao didn't get angry even after being sent flying. He waved with a grin and said in a youthful voice, "I'll come see you next time, Granny! I'll bring you some good tea!"

On the forest path, a young boy with a golden wolf-tail hairstyle walked leisurely, chewing on a piece of foxtail grass and humming a self-composed tune. A hint of craftiness flickered in his emerald eyes.

His Healing Magic was becoming more refined. Before transmigrating, he was an anime fan and thought he couldn't just be a support; he had to have some front-line combat capability. Who knew if the protagonist's plot armor would protect him? In case he died out there one day, he didn't want to be the first Fairy Tail character to kick the bucket.

He had been using Tsunade as a reference, painstakingly exploring and trying to develop his own Monstrous Strength and Yin Seal-type abilities. Originally, he had planned to emulate Might Guy's Eight Gates, but after searching and studying for a long time, he could never find the corresponding meridians and acupoints in his body. In frustration, he could only give up on that.

Riyao slowly clenched his fist. He had developed a passive, permanent effect for his Healing Magic, and he could clearly feel the magic constantly soaking into and nourishing his physical body. This gentle yet solid magical power made his physique, strength, and self-healing ability far exceed that of an ordinary person. However, this enhancement was only just beginning and his cultivation time was still short. Even though his foundation was already outstanding, he hadn't yet created a massive gap between himself and normal people.

Riyao stopped overthinking it. Anyway, the days were long, and there were still many adventures to explore and many companions to harass—er, I mean, make friends with.

Returning to the guild, Riyao kicked the door open and shouted joyfully, "I've graduated! Granny Porlyusica was so relieved and reluctant to see me go. Sigh, I said goodbye to her with tears in my eyes."

Makarov, sitting at the bar, complained with a look of contempt, "Do we look like we believe you? Aren't you swept out of her house every single day? Also, hide the stolen goods in your pocket before you start talking nonsense."

Laxus stood up and exchanged a glance with Riyao, and the two immediately began to scuffle.

"Laxus, you blonde brat! Take this, Black Tiger Steals Heart!"

"Riyao, you bastard! Aren't you also blonde? Wait, you're a Golden Retriever!"

"You're the dog! You're the Golden Retriever!"

"Whatever! Take this, Lightning Dragons Breakdown Fist!"

"No sportsmanship! You're actually using magic!"

Riyao was knocked back two steps. He rubbed his stomach and began to cast Healing Magic to activate his cells, turning on Monstrous Strength mode.

He rushed back in to continue scuffling with Laxus, drawing in many other guild members.

"Macao, you bastard! You actually launched a sneak attack in the chaos!"

"Wakaba, where the hell are you hitting? If it stops working in the future, you'll be responsible!"

"Wig bastard! Take this, Armstrong Cyclone Attack!"

"It's not a wig! You curly-haired bastard, take this, Umaibō!"

"Naruto!"

"Sasuke!"

"I'll definitely be back!"

The entire guild hall was already in a state of chaos. Tables and chairs were overturned, magical aftershocks were flying everywhere, and the brawling Mages were tangled together in a deafening uproar.

Initially, Makarov had a kind and gratified smile on his face as he watched these energetic juniors. But as the scene spiraled further out of control, his face gradually darkened, shifting from gentle to livid.

The next second, he acted. His giant-sized palm, carrying the authority of the Master, heavily suppressed the fighting crowd. With his hair and beard bristling, he roared angrily, "You bratty bastards! Do you really think I, the Guild Master, don't exist?!"

Riyao crawled back up and cheerfully began to heal the guild members, muttering, "So many guinea pigs, hehe."

Many members crawled backward in terror.

Over the years, Riyao would pick fights whenever he was bored and then use the injured members for practice. If it were just normal treatment, it would be fine, but he would also test strange techniques on them. Over the years, members had suffered from diarrhea, strokes, uncontrollable legs, and all sorts of bizarre side effects.

Laxus was one of the victims. At first, he thought Riyao was a cute junior. Then, Laxus spent that entire day in the toilet.

After a while, Riyao was sitting on the steps by the entrance sucking on a popsicle when he saw a little brown-haired girl standing at the door admiring the guild sign. Riyao didn't care at first; after all, Fairy Tail was quite famous. Then, Riyao suddenly remembered that this was the year X772, the very year Cana came looking for Gildarts. He began to carefully observe the little girl: white puppy, brown hair.

Riyao walked up to tease the girl who was likely Cana and asked with a smile, "Hey there, cute little girl. Is something the matter? Are you here to post a request? Or are you looking for someone? Like a father or something?"

Cana flinched at the word "father."

"Big brother... I'm looking for someone."

"Oh? Tell me who you're looking for, I might be able to help. If it's Gildarts Clive, I know him too."

Cana was shocked. Σ(っ °Д °;)っ

Riyao told a lie: "I'm a Mage who uses Healing Magic, so I can see the essence of life. Your life essence is quite similar to Gildarts', and you also look a bit like that old guy."

"I... I..."

"Alright, alright. Even though Uncle Gildarts is a bit slovenly and a bit dim-witted, he's actually a pretty good guy."

Riyao cheerfully pulled Cana's small hand and led her into the guild, thinking to himself that he couldn't let her run away now.

Before they even entered the main door, Gildarts happened to be walking out, looking like he was about to head out on a request.

Riyao shouted, "Hey, stupid uncle! Are you heading out on a request? I wanted to introduce a new member who's about to join the guild to you."

Gildarts looked down, helplessly scratching his messy red hair, and said with a mock-scolding smile, "You brat, can't you call me something nicer?" His gaze then fell upon Cana, and his eyes softened as he praised her sincerely, "So it's this little girl. You're very cute; you'll definitely be an absolute beauty in the future."

Cana just stared blankly at Gildarts, frozen on the spot. Seeing this, Riyao gently shook her arm. Cana finally snapped out of it, but her eyes instantly turned red, looking as if she were about to cry.

Looking at the little girl whose emotions had suddenly shifted, Gildarts felt a strange tightening in his chest. The usually carefree and unrestrained S-Class Mage was now at a loss, frantically trying to comfort her with gentle words.

Riyao watched from the side, enjoying the scene.
