Chapter 8 - When Worlds Collide

The notification immediately drew everyone's attention.

Linglong was the first to react, blinking in confusion as she looked at the newly appeared feature. She tilted her head slightly, clearly puzzled. "Meow? What's this supposed to be?"

"A video?" Asuna's voice followed, carrying a hint of surprise. "The guild actually has a feature like this?"

Eriri quickly chimed in, her tone full of excitement as she explored the interface. "Whoa… this guild has way more functions than I thought. It can share visuals, send voice messages, and even upload videos!"

Utaha's calm voice slipped into the conversation, laced with her usual sharpness. "You're only noticing that now?"

A brief silence settled over the chat.

Even without seeing her, it was easy to imagine Utaha's composed expression as she delivered that perfectly timed verbal jab.

Without wasting any more time, everyone opened the video.

A minute later, the silence broke.

Linglong spoke first, her voice filled with confusion and curiosity. "Wait… what did I just watch? Why do they all look exactly the same? And those weapons the girls are using… are those throwing knives? They look really cool."

Asuna responded almost immediately, her tone turning more thoughtful. "They're not ordinary weapons. Those are likely kunai. And that girl… she's a ninja."

Utaha followed, her voice carrying a hint of intrigue. "I've seen kunai mentioned in novels and manga before. I always assumed they were fictional, but it seems… in your world, they actually exist."

Eriri, on the other hand, was still trying to process everything she had just seen. "If those are kunai… then what about the identical girls? Don't tell me they're some kind of multiple births? Can the new member explain?"

Ryujin's reply came calmly, without any unnecessary emotion. "They're not multiple people. It's a technique."

There was a brief pause before he added, "They are all the same person. A type of clone created through ninjutsu. I'm currently teaching her this method. It's called the Shadow Clone Technique."

The chat erupted instantly.

Utaha's response came slower than the others, but her words carried more weight. "Shadow Clone Technique… so ninjutsu is actually real? I always thought it was purely fictional."

Eriri's excitement exploded almost immediately afterward. "Wait, hold on! Does that mean you're some kind of ninja expert? And you're teaching others too? That's insane!"

Her thoughts quickly ran wild. "Teach me too! I want to learn this Shadow Clone thing. Just imagine creating ten copies of myself and ganging up on someone… no matter how sharp her tongue is, she wouldn't stand a chance!"

Utaha fell silent for a moment, clearly at a loss for words.

Was this blonde idiot seriously treating something like ninjutsu as a tool for petty revenge?

Asuna's message appeared next, calmer but no less earnest. "If it's possible… I would like to learn as well."

For them, ninjutsu wasn't just interesting.

It was unimaginable.

Their worlds were modern, ordinary, completely lacking any supernatural system. And yet this technique alone had shattered everything they believed about reality.

More importantly—

Ryujin had taught it.

Which meant his strength far exceeded what they had seen.

After a brief pause, Ryujin responded.

"If you want to learn ninjutsu, the first requirement is chakra."

Linglong immediately asked, "Chakra? What's that?"

Ryujin explained patiently, his tone steady and clear. "Chakra is the energy used to perform ninjutsu. You can think of it as the fuel behind all techniques."

"In a ninja's body, physical energy and spiritual energy combine to form chakra. The efficiency of this process directly determines a person's strength."

He continued, laying out the basics in a structured manner. "Combat techniques are generally divided into ninjutsu, taijutsu, and genjutsu. Taijutsu relies on physical stamina, while ninjutsu and genjutsu consume chakra. Even training with the Shadow Clone Technique requires it."

Then he went deeper.

"Chakra is extracted from the body's cells, combining physical energy with refined spiritual energy through training. Because of this, ninjas tend to eat a lot. The more energy they have, the more chakra they can produce."

There was a short pause.

Then—

Eriri suddenly asked, completely serious, "Wait… if ninjas eat a lot… doesn't that mean they all get fat?"

For a moment, the entire chat fell silent.

It was such an unexpected concern that no one immediately knew how to respond.

Utaha was the first to recover. Her reply came swiftly and mercilessly. "Fat? Honestly, you could stand to gain some weight. If I remember correctly… you're completely flat."

"SHUT UP!!"

Eriri's response exploded instantly.

"Those are just… just lumps of fat anyway! I don't need them!"

Linglong watched the exchange quietly, clearly entertained but choosing not to get involved.

Ryujin let out a small breath before replying, bringing the topic back under control. "You won't gain weight. The energy from food is converted into chakra, so excess intake doesn't accumulate as fat."

After sending the message, he paused briefly.

A stray thought crossed his mind.

Eriri…

Yes, she really was flat.

Meanwhile, Utaha had a tall, elegant figure with long legs and a well-proportioned silhouette. And Linglong… despite her innocent, slightly airheaded personality, seemed like the type who might have surprisingly good proportions.

"…"

Ryujin shook his head lightly, dismissing the thought.

At that moment, Asuna asked another question, her tone focused and serious. "Then how do we extract chakra from our bodies?"

Ryujin replied, "There are specific training methods. I'll check whether it's possible to upload them."

He added one more detail, "However, chakra extraction is easier at a younger age. The older you are, the harder it becomes, and the slower your progress."

The response came instantly.

All four of them replied at the exact same moment.

"I'm still young."

For a second, Ryujin stared at the screen.

The messages were identical.

Sent simultaneously.

Clearly not coordinated.

Just… instinctive.

Some things, it seemed, transcended worlds.

No matter the dimension—

No woman would ever admit she wasn't young.
