Keifer's POV:
It's been 5 minutes since Jay has been crying while holding Jace and Kaith.
"Baby, you'll be home after a few hours. Then why are you crying?" I asked.
"Keifer, it's the first time after my pregnancy that I'm leaving my babies for a few hours... How can they live without me?" she asked.
"Baby, I'm with them, right? Don't worry. Did you pack their things?" I asked.
She nodded.
She handed me a heavy bag.
"Here. I packed everything—their toys, water bottles, milk bottles, diapers, wet wipes, extra clothes... everything," she said.
I nodded.
We all left together. Kaith and Jace were sitting on Jay's lap, playing with her while I was driving.
Soon we reached Ella's house. Jay got out of the car and made Jace and Kaith sit in their seats while buckling their seat belts.
It was the first time they were sitting in baby seats.
We both looked at them.
They didn't understand where they were sitting. They looked around and tried to eat the seat belts.
We both chuckled at their cuteness. Jay kissed them and said goodbye to me.
Then I started the car and drove to the office.
I called Edrix to the parking lot.
"Sir... oh my..." he gasped as he saw the babies.
"I'll hold them. You come with the bags," he said, totally forgetting that I was the boss.
"Idiot," I said.
He came back to his senses, still looking at Jace and Kaith, who were just staring at him and their surroundings.
"Take my bags and the babies' bag," I said and scooped up both my babies.
As I entered the office, all the employees gasped.
"The younger Watsons are here!" they all said and gathered around me.
"Hi," Jace said and waved at them.
Yeah, Jay taught them how to say "hi" this morning.
"Oh my God..."
"Did he just..."
"I'm leaving this job and applying to be a babysitter."
"I want babies like them."
"He said it exactly like Miss Jay."
"Yeah..."
They all said.
"Sir, can I hold one?" an employee asked.
I nodded.
She scooped one of them up and touched his cheeks.
"Oh my God... they're so soft," she whispered.
Then everyone asked for my permission to hold them.
I nodded.
"Edrix, I'm going to my cabin. Come with the babies later and bring me the bags," I said.
He handed me the bags, and I walked toward my office.
As I sat on my chair, my phone buzzed.
"Hello, Keif... Are the babies okay? Did they cry?" Jay asked.
"Relax. They're fine. Jace even said 'hi' to everyone," I said.
She chuckled.
"Okay, Keif. Me and Ella reached the mall. I'll come to the office afterward, then we'll go home together," she said.
"Okay, love. Take care," I said.
She said goodbye and ended the call.
I got busy with my work.
Just then, someone knocked on the door, and I heard crying.
"Come in," I said.
Edrix walked in, holding the crying babies.
"Mama," they both said together.
I scooped them up and made them sit on my lap.
"Babies, Mama went shopping. You both are good boys now... Learn how to work," I said.
They both stopped crying.
After a few minutes...
I started working on my laptop while they quietly sat on my desk.
"Papa," Kaith said, pointing toward the laptop.
"You want to use it?" I asked.
I scooped him up and sat on the couch. Edrix handed me Jace.
I made both of them sit on my lap and brought the laptop closer.
They both looked at the laptop and lightly touched the screen.
"Here, do this," I said.
They both started tapping on the keyboard.
"Yay!" they both said happily.
I chuckled.
I made them sit on the couch and recorded a video of them.
I sent it to Jay, and she texted that she would buy toy laptops for them.
"Now sit there and play," I said, making them sit on the floor.
Because if they sat on the couch, they might fall, and I couldn't keep watching them because I had an urgent meeting.
They both started playing while I continued my work.
Just then, Edrix entered.
"Sir, everyone is here waiting for you," he said.
I nodded.
Thank God my meeting room was on the same floor.
"Take care of them," I said before walking to the meeting room.
I sat down and started the meeting.
We were in the middle of the meeting when the door slowly opened.
We all looked toward it.
Two tiny humans crawled inside.
Smiling to themselves.
They looked around before spotting me.
"Papa!" Jace said and started crawling toward me, with Kaith following behind.
I sighed and scooped them up.
"Sir, are they your children?" one of the board members asked.
I nodded.
They kept staring at them.
"They're so cute," they whispered to each other.
"Hi," Kaith said.
They instantly melted.
"Si..." Edrix entered and froze.
"I'm sorry, sir. They were crying. I turned around to get their toys, and they crawled away," Edrix said.
I shot him a glare.
"Take them," I said.
He came closer, but both of them hugged me tightly and hid their faces in my coat.
"Aww..." one of the investors said.
"Go, babies," I said.
But they started crying.
I sighed and signaled Edrix to leave.
Then we continued the meeting, but most of everyone's attention was on Jace and Kaith, who were happily sitting on my lap, resting their heads against my chest while playing with each other's fingers.
"Okay, the meeting is over. Bring the reports to my cabin after an hour," I said.
They nodded.
I stood up with both of them in my arms and returned to my office.
I sat down and made them sit on the floor.
Time passed, and after about 30 minutes, they started crying again.
I did everything.
Checked their diapers.
Gave them toys.
Gave them milk.
Gave them water.
But they still didn't stop.
Finally, I called Jay.
She answered on the third ring.
"Jay, the babies are crying so much," I said.
She immediately ended the call and video-called me.
I accepted and showed Jace and Kaith their mama.
As soon as they saw Jay, they snatched my phone and started mumbling.
"What are they saying?" I whispered.
"Yes, babies. I'll come soon. I bought so many toys for you," she said.
They both smiled.
Jace even kissed the screen.
I handed them their milk bottles and placed the phone on the table.
They both started drinking while looking at the screen, making sure their mama was still there.
After they finished, I put the bottles back in the bag and ended the call.
"Papa... Mama..." Jace said.
"Mama is coming soon," I said, ruffling his hair.
He's literally a mama's boy.
He doesn't sleep until he's holding Jay's finger against his cheek while she kisses his head.
Meanwhile, Kaith is sometimes a mama's boy and sometimes a daddy's boy.
He needs Mama when he's hungry or when he has just woken up.
Otherwise, he always plays with me and follows me around.
Jay's POV:
Me and Ella did so much shopping.
Sometimes we called our husbands to ask about the babies.
We shopped for everything Ella needed, along with baby toys.
We didn't shop for Ella's bridal gown because she said Yuri would go with her another day.
We stopped at a baby clothing shop.
The shop was filled with tiny, adorable baby clothes.
Ella started shopping for her baby girls.
There were so many cute dresses for girls.
I wanted to buy them too, but I have boys.
I bought clothes for my babies, but two beautiful dresses caught my attention.
They were tiny frocks.
What if I bought them and made Kaith and Jace wear them?
Hehe.
I bought the dresses along with tiny bows.
"Jay, what's that?" Ella asked.
"I'm going to make Jace and Kaith wear these and take pictures of them for memories," I said.
Ella chuckled.
"Well, Ella, after I take the pictures, you can have them, okay? They'll suit Baby Yumi and Elliana."
Ella nodded.
We shopped for ourselves, our babies, and our husbands.
Otherwise, they would start sulking.
"Jay, what if we buy sexy nighties?" she asked.
I nodded.
"Jay, look at this one. I bet Keifer will lose his mind," Ella said, showing me a very short nighty.
It looked really sexy, and she was right.
Keifer was definitely going to lose his mind.
"Okay, and look at this one. It's for you," I said, handing her another short nighty.
We both bought them.
Later, Ella dropped me off at Keifer's office, and we said goodbye.
As I walked inside, everyone greeted me.
I greeted them back and went to Keifer's office.
When I reached there, I opened the door.
"Jay... finally you're here," Keifer said.
Jace and Kaith immediately crawled toward me.
My babies had stayed without me for three hours.
I bent down, scooped them up, and hugged them tightly.
"My babies... Mama missed you both so much," I said, kissing their cheeks.
Later, Keifer had only one meeting left, so he went to attend it.
I sat on the couch with Jace and Kaith, giving them kisses.
"Babies, I brought so many toys," I said.
They both smiled as if they understood.
Then I made them fall asleep and walked around the cabin.
I had come here after so many months.
The last time I came here was before Keifer and I left for London... and the accident happened.
I saw a photo frame of me and Keifer smiling while looking at each other.
Then another one of our newborn babies sleeping on my chest.
And another one where all four of us were smiling.
I smiled.
Just then, the door opened, and Keifer entered.
He hugged me from behind.
"Meeting over?" I asked.
He nodded and kissed my neck.
"I missed you so much," he said.
I smiled and turned toward him.
"I bought so many things... and one thing for you that you'll definitely like," I said.
He leaned in and gave me a quick kiss on my lips.
"Okay, let's go home. Then we'll see," he said.
I nodded.
I scooped up Jace and Kaith while Keifer carried all the bags.
As we walked past, many employees said goodbye to us and told us to bring Jace and Kaith again soon.
We nodded and left.
