The fourth floor safe point was quiet when Yash and May returned, but inside Emily's house the atmosphere was far from calm. Hena had already fallen asleep on one side of the room, exhausted from everything that had happened, breathing softly without a care in the world. In contrast, Igna sat on the floor trying to rest, but that was impossible with Emily sitting right in front of him, watching him closely with a playful smile that made him uncomfortable.
Emily: "Why are you sitting so far? Come closer."
Igna: "I'm fine here."
Emily leaned forward slightly, her smile widening.
Emily: "No, you're not."
Before he could react, she grabbed his arm and pulled him toward her. Igna lost his balance and almost fell forward, barely managing to stop himself.
Igna: "Hey—!"
Emily didn't let go. Instead, she leaned in even closer, her face just inches away from his.
Emily: "You're really cute up close."
Igna froze instantly, his mind going blank.
Igna: "S-stop saying that…"
She ignored him completely and pinched his cheek.
Emily: "So soft…"
Igna tried to push her hand away, but she caught his other cheek as well, holding his face in both hands now.
Emily: "I feel like I should just keep you here forever."
Igna: "I'm not something you can keep!"
Emily laughed softly, clearly enjoying his reaction.
Emily: "You say that, but you're not even trying to escape properly."
Igna went silent for a moment, not knowing how to respond, which only made her smile more.
Before she could continue, the door opened and Yash and May stepped inside. Igna immediately tried to pull away, but Emily didn't release him.
Igna: "Help—"
May looked at the situation and sighed.
May: "Still doing that?"
Emily: "What? I'm just playing."
Yash's gaze shifted past them toward the figure standing behind him. Sele stepped forward quietly, her calm and cold presence instantly changing the mood in the room. Emily noticed her immediately, and for the first time her playful expression faded slightly as she observed her carefully.
Emily: "Oh… so you're the one."
Sele looked back at her without any emotion.
Sele: "Yes."
Igna finally managed to free himself and quickly moved a step away, putting distance between himself and Emily. His attention shifted fully to Sele.
Igna: "She's… the killer?"
Yash: "Yes."
Igna's expression hardened, his eyes narrowing slightly.
Igna: "And you brought her here?"
May: "She had a reason."
Igna didn't respond immediately. He kept looking at Sele, trying to understand her, trying to decide whether he could trust her.
Sele: "If I didn't kill them, more people would have died."
Her voice was calm, steady, without any regret. Igna clenched his fist slightly.
Igna: "…That doesn't make it right."
Sele: "It was necessary."
Silence filled the room for a moment as the tension built again, but it didn't last long because Emily suddenly laughed, breaking the mood completely.
Emily: "You two are way too serious."
She walked right back toward Igna before he could react.
Igna: "Don't come near me—"
Too late.
She grabbed his cheek again.
Emily: "My cute one is getting angry now."
Igna: "I'm not cute!"
Hena shifted slightly in her sleep but didn't wake up. May rubbed her forehead, clearly used to this chaos.
May: "Can you stop for one minute?"
Emily: "No."
Yash ignored everything happening around him and spoke calmly.
Yash: "She's joining us."
No one argued this time. Even Igna didn't say anything more. He looked at Sele again, still cautious, still unsure, but he didn't reject it either.
Igna: "…I'll keep an eye on you."
Sele didn't reply, but she didn't look away either.
The night slowly settled again, but the atmosphere had changed. Hena slept peacefully, unaware of the shift in the team. May stayed quiet, thinking. Yash stood calmly as always. Emily continued to bother Igna whenever she felt like it, enjoying every reaction she got from him. And Sele stood silently in the corner, watching everything without saying a word.
Distro had become stronger, but at the same time, far more dangerous than before.
