Chapter 11 - Chapter 10: Echoes of Blood - The Revelation

The Cave of Lovers transformed under the sacred touch of Iara's candles, which cast dancing shadows on the damp walls, creating a cathedral of light and mystery. The air was impregnated with the pungent aroma of sea salt and burning herbs, an ancestral perfume that seemed to awaken the island's sleeping spirits.

Iara, with firm hands and eyes that reflected the wisdom of centuries, traced precise circles of salt around the lagoon, positioned crystals at strategic points, and lit small ceramic gourds where the herbs crackled in gentle flames.

"Sit in the center of the lagoon," she ordered, her voice firm and serene. "The water will awaken your ancestral memories."

Txai and Iúna entered the lagoon hand in hand, feeling the warm water envelop their bodies like an embrace from the earth itself. Where the water touched their skin, small sparks of light appeared, as if the island's energy flowed through them.

"Now, close your eyes and breathe together. Let the past lives speak," Iara instructed.

Visions came in waves, flooding their minds with vivid images and profound emotions.

First, they were Tamoio Indigenous people: he, a solar warrior named Kauê; she, a lunar shaman known as Iara. United against the Portuguese invaders, they died together defending the sacred island, their spirits intertwined in the fight for freedom.

Then, passionate corsairs: he, a French pirate fleeing the crown; she, a Portuguese noblewoman who abandoned everything for love. They were captured and executed on the beaches of Abraão, but their love withstood time and death.

Next, escaped slaves: he, an African master of the secrets of medicinal plants; she, an indigenous woman who knew all the hiding places in the forest. They founded a quilombo on the island but were betrayed and killed, their souls engraved in the memory of the land.

Finally, political prisoners: he, an Italian anarchist; she, a Brazilian teacher. Both imprisoned in the former Devil's Cauldron during the military regime, they died trying to escape, but their rebellious spirit was never tamed.

"We always meet," Iúna murmured, tears streaming down her face, a mixture of pain and hope. "And they always separate us."

"But this time it will be different," Txai said, clenching his hands tightly, the golden light of his solar energy shining intensely. "This time we have power."

Iara smiled, seeing understanding dawn in their eyes. "Exactly. All those previous lives were preparation for this moment. You have accumulated spiritual power through the centuries. Now you are invincible."

Outside the cave, voices drew closer—the sound of a relentless search that would not cease until they were found.

"They won't give up," said Iúna, her voice firm but laden with an emotion that mixed fear and courage.

"And they don't need to," Txai replied, his eyes shining with solar determination. "It's time to face them."
