No one tried to stop the fight between the two goddesses. After all, even if they suffered a few injuries, they would be fully recovered by tomorrow. Asuna looked at Ren Isana, who was watching the brawl with immense enthusiasm.
She didn't even know what to say anymore. He had clearly done this on purpose, instigating a fight between the two just so he could watch the show with keen interest from above.
With a sigh, she shook her head, deciding it wasn't worth the effort to intervene. Maybe letting them duke it out was for the best; they might actually be able to sit down and have a proper conversation afterward.
Shaking her head again, Asuna went back to familiarizing herself with her new weapon. Since Ren Isana had told her to ignore it, she would do exactly that. Let them keep making a ruckus; they would probably tire themselves out soon enough.
When Ais and Lefiya came outside and saw Loki and Hestia brawling, they froze in surprise. Lefiya immediately tried to rush forward to pull Loki away, but Riveria stopped her.
"Leave Loki be. Let them fight; it will be fine in a bit," Riveria said, directly halting Lefiya and telling everyone to ignore their goddess. She shared the same thought process—once they got the fight out of their systems, the whole ordeal would likely blow over.
Hearing this, Lefiya hesitated for a moment before nodding and stepping back. If Riveria said so, she definitely had her reasons.
"I'm going to find Instructor Yor," Ais told Riveria after casting one last glance at Loki's direction, then headed off toward Yor.
Riveria nodded. She also decided to go find Natsuki Minamiya, who was currently instructing a few students. After returning yesterday, Lefiya had shared some of the knowledge Natsuki Minamiya had taught her.
This had allowed Riveria to easily master [Meditation]. As a Lv.6 mage, grasping such a concept was incredibly simple for her, and she immediately understood the immense benefits [Meditation] offered to magic casters.
Therefore, Riveria planned to ask Natsuki Minamiya if she could pass this technique down. Naturally, it would only be taught within the Loki Familia and wouldn't be shared with outsiders.
After all, she wasn't about to do something that would benefit their rivals. Riveria led Lefiya toward Natsuki Minamiya, leaving everyone else to completely ignore Hestia and Loki as the two deities continued their scuffle.
Perhaps due to exhaustion, the two didn't fight for much longer before finally stopping. Both were covered in dirt, and Hestia's hair was a tangled mess, making her look like a madwoman.
Having vented her frustrations, Loki's mood had improved significantly. She sat up straight and grumbled in extreme annoyance, "Hey, Shorty, take me to take a bath. *Hiss*, you hit way too hard, you bastard!"
Hearing Loki's complaint, Hestia roared back with equal dissatisfaction, "You think you didn't hit hard?! My chest is swollen a whole size larger! So annoying!!"
"Shut up, you damn cow!!" Loki's face instantly twisted into an expression of pure, unadulterated rage. *Damn you to hell! I've spent hundreds of millions of years wishing for just a little more size, and you, you bastard, actually got even bigger?!*
"Hmph, just keep being jealous!" Hestia scoffed, standing up and marching toward the house. Seeing this, Loki followed close behind, cursing up a storm. Their dynamic was just bizarre like that.
After their brawl, the matter was silently dropped by mutual agreement. Loki consented to Ais coming over, though, of course, she would be tagging along every single day from now on.
Sitting by the windowsill, Ren Isana chuckled as he watched the two stop fighting. Although it felt a bit like a pity the show was over, the two goddesses had tacitly agreed not to bring the issue up again.
Ren Isana stored the book Miach had given him into his Spatial Ring. He had already devoured all the knowledge within it and even managed to tinker around and create several new spells of his own.
[Life Perception]: A semi-passive spell. Once mastered and activated, it would remain active indefinitely unless manually turned off. It allowed the user to sense the movements of all living beings in the vicinity—a rather excellent sensory spell.
[Calming Magic]: A spell that forced the target to calm down.
[Purification Magic]: A spell capable of removing negative debuffs and curing poisons.
[Mass Heal]: Healed multiple targets within an area, with the range depending on the amount of Magic Power injected.
These were the spells Ren Isana had learned and developed from the grimoire, and every single one was incredibly practical. Perception, forced composure, purification, and mass healing—these spells were undeniably excellent.
Moreover, their tiers weren't very high. Aside from [Purification Magic] and [Mass Heal], which were Intermediate Magic, [Life Perception] and [Calming Magic] were both Basic Magic. This meant that everyone in the class could learn them.
Although the teachers had previously taught [Perception Magic], that sensory spell was far inferior to the [Life Perception] Ren Isana had concocted. His spell had a much larger detection range and didn't need to be repeatedly recast.
Using it was like turning on thermal imaging, allowing the user to instantly sense the presence of anyone nearby in their mind. As for [Calming Magic], its utility went without saying. There were always times in battle when one might fall prey to fear or other negative mental debuffs.
This spell forced the user to calm down and focus on the fight. Sometimes, regaining one's composure could save a life—that was no joke.
As for [Purification Magic] and [Mass Heal], their effectiveness was directly tied to one's Magic Power. The more Magic Power injected, the stronger the effect. They were essentially universally useful spells that one could rely on for a lifetime.
Thinking of this, the corners of Ren Isana's mouth curled up into a slight smile. In high spirits, he stood up and headed downstairs to where his classmates were gathered.
*I'll teach everyone those two spells and have them master them during this period.* Especially [Life Perception]—Ren Isana decided that whoever couldn't learn it wouldn't be brought along on their upcoming Dungeon expedition!
Having made his decision, Ren Isana walked straight over to Natsuki Minamiya. He planned to teach the magic-specialized students first.
Seeing him approach, Natsuki Minamiya looked up. Ren Isana got straight to the point. "Instructor Natsuki, I need your help with something next. I want to make it mandatory for the classmates to learn a specific spell."
Hearing this, everyone turned their attention toward him, including Riveria and Lefiya. A spell they absolutely had to learn? Natsuki Minamiya looked at Ren Isana in surprise. "Is it that important?"
"Incredibly important. Even though it's just a Basic Magic spell, it's far stronger than the [Perception Magic] taught at school. I've named it [Life Perception]." Ren Isana then began to explain the operational principles of the spell.
As Natsuki Minamiya listened to his explanation, her eyes grew brighter and brighter. However, Lefiya and Riveria were completely lost, as the two magic systems were fundamentally different.
Without systematic study, there was no way for them to understand what the two were talking about. They hadn't even heard of many of the concepts being discussed.
This was exactly why neither Ren Isana nor Natsuki Minamiya cared that the two elves were present. They might be able to understand it in the future, but that was a matter for another time. If they ever wanted to learn it, they would inevitably have to come asking for their help anyway.
After hearing the full explanation, Natsuki Minamiya completely understood why Ren Isana had made such a bold claim. Once he finished, she said, "Go ahead and call the others over. This spell is exceptionally good."
Having grasped the spell's mechanics, Natsuki Minamiya couldn't help but mentally give Ren Isana a thumbs-up. With this new spell, the standard [Perception Magic] was practically obsolete.
Moreover, its application was relatively simple. Barring any surprises, this spell would become a mandatory subject for all magic casters in the future. This was all part of the harvest they had reaped from coming to this world.
She couldn't even begin to imagine how ecstatic the higher-ups back home would be once Ren Isana brought all these discoveries back. Figuring out how to properly reward him would be a massive headache for those old fogies.
From the moment the Loki Familia came knocking on their door, their mission in this world was already considered over-fulfilled. And to top it off, Ren Isana was going to bring back even more...
When that time came, Ren Isana would probably be able to walk sideways back home, doing whatever he pleased. He would absolutely become the most precious treasure of the higher-ups, who would be terrified of him suffering even the slightest accident.
"Besides that, there's also a forced [Calming Magic] spell that I hope the others can learn, though this one isn't mandatory," Ren Isana added, introducing the second spell.
After listening to his introduction, Natsuki Minamiya agreed to this as well. They had similar spells back in their world with roughly the same effects; it was just a different variation.
"No problem, just arrange it however you see fit," Natsuki Minamiya agreed readily. She completely agreed that [Life Perception] was a spell everyone absolutely had to learn.
With the plan settled, Ren Isana used his mark to summon all his classmates. Hearing his call, everyone hurried over from Yor's side, and Yor herself followed along.
She was quite curious about why Ren Isana had gathered everyone, but the answer soon became clear as the students listened to his announcement.
"I've gathered you all here to teach you a new spell. This spell is absolutely mandatory. If anyone fails to learn it, I won't be bringing you along the next time we enter the Dungeon." As soon as he said this, the students with poor magic aptitude were instantly covered in imaginary question marks.
"Wait, what? Class Rep, are you targeting us? It's not some super difficult spell, is it?" Leo couldn't sit still after hearing this. His magic talent was already abysmal to begin with.
He stumbled through learning any kind of magic, and now Ren Isana was dropping this ultimatum? Wasn't this just making things needlessly hard for him? If he really couldn't learn it, wouldn't he be left behind with no one to carry him?
Several people felt like the sky was falling at that moment. However, facing their despair, Ren Isana just shrugged and said ruthlessly, "I'm a man of my word. This spell will only benefit you and has zero downsides. Learning it will significantly reduce the danger you face."
Immediately after, Ren Isana explained the details of the spell. When they heard that it could remain active indefinitely once cast and only needed to be manually turned off, everyone instantly lost their composure.
Even though it constantly consumed Magic Power while active, wasn't this just way too overpowered? Even Leo and the others who had initially felt targeted were now practically jumping out of their seats.
After all, anyone with half a brain could see the immense benefits of this spell. Most importantly, it was a Basic Magic spell, which meant that every single one of them was capable of learning it. Just like the [Lightness Technique], this was now one of their absolute must-learn spells!
"It seems no one has any objections." Ren Isana swept his gaze over the crowd, the corners of his mouth curling up. The 'Law of True Fragrance'—where people inevitably love what they initially rejected—applied everywhere. After hearing what the spell did, he knew no one would be able to resist.
This included Riveria, who had been silently listening to Ren Isana's explanation from the sidelines. As soon as he finished, she immediately rushed over to Natsuki Minamiya to ask if they could learn this spell as well.
After all, it was simply too enticing. Just imagine going into the Dungeon with every single member equipped with this sensory spell. How much easier would their expeditions into the deeper floors be? They might even be able to push further than ever before.
Regarding this matter, Natsuki Minamiya didn't agree rashly. Instead, she said, "You can't learn it right now. After all, your magic system relies on mental power. That means you'll have to wait until your Magic Power reserves are sufficient before you can learn it."
Natsuki Minamiya stated the facts plainly. Of course, the main reason was that they needed to offer something in return. *You didn't think you could just get this for free, did you? As if things were that easy.*
The inventor was standing right over there. They would have to wait and see what conditions Ren Isana proposed. She was confident the Loki Familia would be more than willing to pay the price. After all, Ren Isana would reap massive benefits by bringing various techniques and spells back home.
Wanting to freeload magic without offering anything in return? *You might be beautiful, but don't think your dreams are just as pretty.* Thus, Natsuki Minamiya didn't agree directly, instead using their lack of Magic Power as an excuse to politely decline for now.
Hearing Natsuki Minamiya's words, Riveria paused for a moment before quickly catching on. "As long as you are willing to teach us this spell, the Loki Familia will undoubtedly offer a show of sincerity that will leave you satisfied."
Only then did Natsuki Minamiya nod in satisfaction. She glanced over at Ren Isana, who was busy instructing his classmates, and said, "You can go talk to Ren Isana about it later. He might agree."
Natsuki Minamiya directly handed the initiative over to Ren Isana. Whether he agreed or not was entirely up to him, and whatever compensation he demanded was his choice to make.
"Understood!" Riveria agreed upon seeing this. She didn't say anything more and simply waited quietly. By now, Ren Isana had already begun teaching his classmates.
[Life Perception] was simple in some ways, but difficult in others. It mainly depended on one's comprehension ability. However, even the student with the absolute weakest magic talent in this class could now easily break through to Tier 3.
It was safe to say that there wasn't a single dud in this class. Leo might claim his magic talent was subpar, but that was only relative to the rest of the class. If he were placed anywhere else, it would be a completely different story.
This was a special class—did they think that was just for show? Everyone present possessed exceptional talent. After Ren Isana gave a brief explanation, the students who specialized in magic were already beginning to grasp the concept.
"Ren Isana, I have a question. Once this spell is cast, how do we keep it active constantly? How do we sustain the magic consumption, and what happens if it gets interrupted?" Kumo, a student from Sora's party, couldn't help but ask.
She was the one who had been bitten by a dog previously. All of her talent was invested in magic, making her one of the last students in the class to break through to Tier 3 in martial arts.
"As long as your Magic Power isn't interrupted, it will stay active. The moment the Magic Circle activates, it will keep running. If it gets interrupted? Just recast it. It's not that difficult; you just need to practice a bit more," Ren Isana quickly explained.
Hearing his explanation, Kumo immediately understood. She closed her eyes and attempted to cast the sensory spell. On her first try, the Magic Circle formed but quickly dissipated, interrupting the spell. On her second try, the Magic Circle formed and lasted for three seconds. By her third attempt, she managed to sustain it for ten seconds.
Under the astonished gazes of many classmates, Kumo continued to experiment. She soon grasped the trick and easily crossed the threshold of mastering the spell. However, sensing her current condition, Kumo frowned.
"Class Rep, the consumption seems a bit high. With my current Magic Power, I can only maintain it for about an hour. Any longer than that, and my Magic Power will bottom out," Kumo reported her status.
Ren Isana indicated that this was a very easy problem to solve. With a flip of his hand, he pulled out a Blue Potion and handed it to her. "This spell pairs perfectly with a Blue Potion, you know. Why don't you give it a try?"
Hearing this, Kumo's worries vanished. It was true—this spell was a perfect match for Blue Potions. Since Blue Potions slowly regenerated Magic Power over time, they could completely offset the spell's continuous consumption!
