The magic circle's color has faded a bit, but it should still be usable again.

After briefly instructing the canned goods and the fireworks that flew back to rest to guard the house, Morris walked to the center of the magic circle and drank the water of life and death without hesitation.

Chapter 57 Energy Crystallization, Wooden House

I was still surrounded by the familiar warmth.

  Morris opened his eyes.

The first thing he did was to check the status of the clock on the dormitory wall—it wasn't moving.

This means that he has successfully entered the gap.

This time, he wasted no time and left the castle directly, heading towards the cabin.

During the journey, Maurice tried out his newly learned spells once again.

  "Energy convergence!"

The moment the chant left his lips, he sensed something was different.

This time, what gathered in his palm was not the faintly glowing "magic" of before, but the thin white mist floating in the air above this world.

Wisps of mist were visible to the naked eye, coming from all directions and swirling and condensing above his palm.

  Morris maintained this state.

When he was less than a hundred meters away from the cabin, the mist had condensed into a small, slightly transparent, pearly white bead.

Is this the product of energy convergence?

Morris held the bead up to his eyes to examine it closely, then put it in his mouth and bit it.

  It's a bit hard.

It doesn't taste like anything yet.

So what's the use of this thing?

He thought for a while, but had no clue.

This bead was clearly formed from the energy contained within this world, so Morris gave it a name.

  "Interstitial energy crystallization".

As for its uses, we can only study that at a later time.

After putting the interstitial energy crystal into his pocket, Morris was already standing in front of the cabin door.

This is a rather exquisite two-story wooden house, and it looks quite new.

The exterior walls are dark brown, the roof is covered with neat gray wooden shingles, and the glass on the walls is also wiped very clean.

  "A wonderful cabin," Morris thought.

Compared to that, Hagrid's place was practically a bare shell.

  So here's the question.

Why is there a wooden house in this place?

The wooden house had no nameplate or any signs; the only unusual thing was a simple symbol carved next to the door:

A circle is embedded inside a triangle, and a vertical line runs through both.

Morris stared at the sign for a while.

  Hmm, I don't understand.

No matter how you look at it, it's just two geometric shapes with a vertical line.

However, one thing is certain: this mark could not have been generated naturally.

The person who carved it must have had some intention.

It took Morris a few seconds to memorize the sign.

Now, it's more appropriate to continue exploring this house.

  "Knock knock!"

He knocked on the door and called out, "Hello, is anyone home?"

As expected, there was no response.

Yes, how could anyone possibly live in a place like this?

Morris tried to push the door, but it wouldn't budge. He then looked at the window next to him.

Unfortunately, the window was blurred in some way, making it impossible to see anything inside.

So Maurice went back to the door and took out his wand.

  "Araho Cave Opens!"

The moment the lock-picking spell hit the door, it was immediately bounced off.

  Seeing this, he frowned.

This wooden house has magical protection, and it's quite strong.

  What should we do?

Morris pondered for a moment, and finally silently apologized to the homeowner in his heart—he couldn't help it, he was just too curious.

  "Bone Summoning Technique!"

Dozens of bone spikes appeared out of thin air, slamming into the wooden door with a whooshing sound.

Wood chips flew everywhere, and bone splinters easily tore through the seemingly thick door panel.

Seeing this, Morris nodded in satisfaction.

  It's quite powerful.

Compared to the unlocking spell, this thing is much more effective.

As for the damaged wooden door... we can fix it for the homeowner later, since he's already learned the repair spell.

Stepping into the cabin, Maurice began to explore the surroundings.

From any angle, this is just an ordinary wooden house.

The layout of the living room, kitchen, and toilet is very ordinary, even somewhat simple.

  There were no abnormalities.

The only thing that might seem a little strange is that there is absolutely no trace of anyone having lived here, nor are there any personal belongings.

Finally, in a room that was clearly a bedroom, Morris found useful information.

Inside the drawer lay an ordinary photograph.

The photo itself is quite ordinary, about the size of a palm, with some wear and tear on the edges.

Inside was a blond man, very young, looking to be around twenty years old, handsome, with a slightly unruly smile.

Of course, Maurice did not recognize this person.

However, one thing is certain—this guy's looks are definitely very popular with girls.

I'm almost as good as I used to be!

Morris put the photo back in his pocket, along with the gap energy crystal.

Then, he walked around the room a few more times.

No further discoveries were made until the effects of the Water of Life and Death ended.

  ...

For the next few days, Morris wandered around in the gaps.

Apart from his "birth point" castle and the little cabin, he found no other buildings or landmarks.

There was only a seemingly endless desert.

Of course, there were still gains.

With nothing else to do, he used his energy to accumulate a large bag of interstitial energy crystals.

As for the symbol he saw and the photograph, he asked the Weasley twins and several upperclassmen Ravenclaw, but to no avail.

Based on this, the person in the photo is not a celebrity.

  Two weeks passed quickly.

  Saturday, November 16th.

As the weather gets colder, Hogwarts' Quidditch season begins.

Quidditch is a traditional wizarding sport, similar to football, except it is played in the sky on broomsticks.

Morris had a basic understanding of the rules, but he hadn't expected the sport to become so popular.

At breakfast, the students around him were discussing the upcoming match between Slytherin and Gryffindor.

But he wasn't really interested; he just kept adding sugar to his coffee.
