Chapter 61 - Heroine

Bloody armor, axe, and her flowing hair.

She stood atop the Earth Dome.

She wasn't scared at all, but her knees were trembling.

In excitement.

She was trapped inside the Earth Dome, and she was with her army inside of it.

She is also the one who help to give relief to her soldiers.

Although she has no healing powers, the cleansing power of her armor, when equipped to the survivors, proved helpful in the said dilemma.

And, she knows she can't fight without her full set of armor.

BANG!

A sudden rumbling shook the dome.

This time, even if she has more to save, she decided to go out.

And now, standing atop the dome, she saw the fight that gradually ensued.

Hellfire Geyser.

This was Kalem's Skill, and it created fire pillars from the ground, burning anyone that it touched.

Randolph also used his signature move, Dragon, to kill everyone.

To her, it was a good scenario already.

Until the third wave hit.

Looking at the falling groups, she found that the ones in front held a shield.

She could've shrugged that off, but a certain sentence remained stuck inside her head.

And so, she decided to rush, and pull herself out of the dome.

But she was proven too late.

The chimps had already reached the dome, and they are now stacked upon it.

She then pushed herself forward, dashing towards the group, but Kalem best her to it and created a larger attack.

Yet, that was the worst thing they could've done.

The fourth wave shortly came after, and on it, were the professionals of each team.

Buffers, debuffers, and even amplifiers of magic and attack, created teams that is sieging the earthen dome.

Randolph ran towards the dome to protect it, but every turn he takes, there will be traps, or attacks that were stacked, and he must dodge them all.

As for Kalem, he was now in a deadlock, battling the remains of the third wave, had another problem to handle.

Seeing this, her heart fluttered by the bravery of the two.

She smiled, but it was short-lived as another set of screeching sounds resounded.

And this time around, these sounds did not just make noise, it also gave them a massive headache, making Kalem and Randolph fall down to their knees.

"Damn!"

She heard Randolph curse as he was hit by a mace.

Although he managed to block the attack by his sword, he still rolled down the soil, and found himself surrounded by the chimps.

FWOOSH!

Mana burst out of everything, as Kalem was laso hit with an arrow, making him unable to contol his attacks.

He fell down the floor, holding the shoulder that was incapacitated.

The pain coursed through his body, and although it is still attached, he can't feel his hand already.

"Triple Fireball."

Using his one hand, he casted three Fireballs and fired.

The quickness of the fireball covered a certain distance, but it was not enough for him to move.

But it was enough for Randolph to maneuver.

Upon rolling down, he used his sword to stabilize himself, falling into the middle of the enemies.

And although he still has his headache going, his body feels like he was in a pool of honey.

The heaviness and slowness of every move made it look like a show in front of the enemies.

Schlick!

A sudden shiver ran through his spine as his senses tingled in response. His mind went on overdrive.

But, all he felt was a soft block of cotton, like a cloud covering his head. Nothing was being registered to it.

The heaviness became a cement, trying to petrify him in fast manner.

Yet, that was the clue he got.

Without a hitch, he let his body fall on the ground.

The arrow flew right up to his nose, grazing it slightly, while flying off to a near tree.

Vibration from the arrow resounded.

In response, he sighed in relief as he dodged that, but now, he was under the attack of the attackers of each team.

But, the support came in.

Three fireballs razed them down to the ground, burning their hopes to kill him.

"Nice assist."

He shouted as he swung his sword in a circle, clearing his vicnity in a flash.

Balancing himself, he stood up to see the situation.

Bodies lay within the swamp, and some of them were now being buried by the mush of the swamp.

The problem all around him was not his focus, but the number of bodies strewn in hid vicinity.

With a loud hurrah, he celebrated.

But, it was short-lived as a spear suddenly struck him from behind.

Shocked, he parried it with his sword, but he was too late.

As if not trying to make him breathe, a chain flew out, binding his leg.

As he spun his sword, he tried to break the chain off, but it was blocked by a shield.

Sparks flew as the sword hit the metallic shield.

But Randolph did not stop.

He pulled the chain, repositioned himself to cut it.

Yet a scythe managed to block this attack, hooking his blade back, not making it move.

With the opening created, an invicible chimp suddenly appeared before him.

It's shrill shout echoed, as it found it's target.

"Energy Burst!"

The swamp water made a circular wave as everyone in the vicinity was thrown away.

But, more of them stayed still, because of the spearmen who dug their spears down the soil.

As the others flew out, others caught them and formed long lines of chimps.

A sonorous sound rang out after, completely cutting off the chain that held his feet down.

He pulled his blade, but what met him were the flashing lights of the attacks of everyone he sent back.

And, as if it was not yet enough, the shrill shouts resounded and the sky darkened greatly.

Horror crept up to his head.

The fifth wave is coming.
