Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Not all as it seems

In the year MM-18 as the 18 year old Caesar stood in front of the Mizukais and their guards during her parents funeral, her brothers stood behind her, clutching on to her legs in fear.

As this was happening, Gendo Mizukai stepped forward with a cocky smile and spoke.

"Good afternoon. We are looking for the location of Albagon and Silvia Moon.

We were informed this is where they would be getting 'buried'."

"This... This is their location." Caesar replied, "Is there anything wrong?"

"Ah. So the rumors were true. They did go off dying." Gendo said, "How unfortunate."

"How unfortunate, indeed." Akari said with a sly smile while fanning herself, "I was really looking forward to having a deeper conversation with them."

"Humph." Rin said as she turned her face away.

Toma on the other hand, yawned while the eldest, Raizan showed no emotions underneath the shades he was wearing about the information given.

Gendo then took a quick look at the boys behind Caesar before returning his gaze back to her.

"What I'm going to tell you is a serious matter. So I suggest we leave the little ones out of it... Don't you think?" Gendo asked while smiling with a raised brow.

Caesar stared at the family for a moment before shifting her sight to her brothers.

"Go wait for me at that tree." Caesar said to them as she pointed at a withered oak tree nearby.

Her brothers however, stared at her until she smiled warmly.

"It's okay. I'll be fine. Now go." Caesar said.

Rai and Eyo immediately obeyed and scurried to the tree.

After they had left, Caesar turned her sights back to the family.

"Good. Now we can really get down to business." Gendo said, "You see, last year, money was borrowed from us by those two. Five million yons.

They were supposed to pay this year 'but' they ended up kicking the bucket."

Hearing this revelation, Caesar's eyes widened in disbelief.

"And what makes this whole thing even funnier is that we learned that they lost the whole money in gambling." Gendo continued with a smirk, "Apparently, they were hoping to gain double and pay us back, but things didn't go as they planned."

"Tch. Never in my life have I meet people so foolish and yet so unlucky." Rin said as she adjusted her glasses.

"Now, now, elder sister, it is not nice to speak ill of the dead." Akari replied Rin while smiling, "Though I will admit, they were foolish."

While the family were talking, Caesar who was still in shock with what she just learned, spoke in her mind.

"No way. Please tell me this isn't real. Five million?! From them?! The Mizukais of all people?! Mama... Papa... What is wrong with you?"

After the Mizukais had finished talking, Gendo arched a brow and spoke.

"Well?"

"Okay... But what does this have to do with me?" Caesar asked.

"Oh, it has everything. You're their daughter, are you not?" Gendo asked.

"Huh?" Caesar said in confusion.

"You have Albagon's beastfolk traits while possessing Silvia's eyes and face." Gendo said, "Besides, we got information that their eldest daughter would be the one hosting their funerals.

The one who goes by the name Caesar Moon. What a beautiful name."

"Now, what does it have to do with you?" Gendo continued as he tilted his head, "Have you ever heard this saying 'Thefathershaveeatensourgrapesandthechildren'steetharesetonedge'?

You see when the parents die, the debt doesn't die with them, it is transferred to the children, and they will have to pick up from where the parents stopped.

In other words..."

"You will be taking over your parents debts." Gendo said with a small grin.

"Bullshit." Caesar immediately replied with a scowl, "I don't know what you're on and I don't care. I never came to you to ask for money. I never went down on my knees to beg like they did."

"If you want your money back, go ask them." Caesar continued as she pointed at her parents graves, "But in the meantime, I'm not paying for what I do not owe."

"Goodbye." Caesar said as she turned to walk away.

However before she could do that, one of the guards held her by the wrist, stopping her in her tracks.

As Caesar turned to look at the guard that held her, Raizan stepped forward , walking past the other Mizukais.

"I don't think you understand, Miss Moon." Raizan said as he slowly removed his sunglasses, "This..."

"Isnotasuggestion." Raizan continued as he tilted his head to the right while the upper half of his face was overshadowed, leaving only his blue eyes to gleam through.

Currently in the year MM-20, Caesar sat beside Balland in his car, staring at the photos of Rai and Eyo dressed in a light blue long sleeve top, dark blue ties, dark blue trousers and black shoes.

"So they have finally gotten them, huh." Caesar said in her heart with a warm smile.

"Didn't know you could make a face like that." Balland said.

"Hm?" Caesar said as she turned to Balland in confusion.

"You smiling. I don't think I have ever seen you smile like that." Balland said, "Your face is usually all gloomy. Like someone who is done with life."

"Oh... It's just my brothers. I was just checking on what they've gotten." Caesar replied.

"That's good." Balland said.

The two stayed silent for a while until Caesar spoke out.

"So this guy... You really think he'll help train me?" Caesar asked.

"Well, he does owe me a favor but your relationship with him... The efforts he'll put... That's up to you." Balland answered, "Aaaand we're here."

"You see that building right there... That gym?" Balland asked as Caesar extended her head out of the window, "That's where you going to meet him."

Caesar immediately took notice of the gym they were arriving close to but also took notice of a bold writing on it that says "SANITY".

In seeing that, Caesar stared at the building with a blank face and her right brow twitched a little.

"Yeah... I'm starting to have second thoughts about this place." Caesar said in her mind.

Later as they had opened the door inside the building, Balland quickly turned his gaze towards Caesar.

"Remember what I told you yesterday: no ego, no back talks, no-"

The conversation was cut short as a man flew past the two with a yell and crashed hard against the wall.

The man slowly slid down to the ground, leaving a large bloodstain on the wall while his unconscious body twitched.

This sight made Caesar's eyes widen in horror while Balland slowly shook his head.

"Pathetic!" A masculine barked.

Caesar and Balland shifted their gaze towards the voice and saw a muscular and tattooed fair skinned man with a long orange braided hair and large beard, wearing a sky blue tank top and dark blue knickers storm towards the unconscious man.

"What the hell was that?! No, seriously, what the hell was that?!" The man asked, "You think with that kind of performance, Magoi won't be able to snap you like a twig! You think she won't take ero-points from you that easily?!

You're so fucking stupid!"

"Gosh!!" The man continued as he snapped his face away in mass irritation.

The man took notice of Caesar and Balland staring at him.

"Uhm... Cedric, are we interrupting?" Balland asked.

"No. No, you're not." Cedric answered, "Just needed to drill some shit into this idiot's skull."

"Okay. I think you've done that." Balland said as he took a quick look at the unconscious man.

"So, this is the person you asked me to train?" Cedric asked as he took notice of Caesar.

"Yes. She is." Balland answered.

"Caesar Moon, this is Cedric Gray." Balland said to Caesar as he gestured towards Cedric.

"Cedric Gray... Caesar Moon." Balland said to Cedric as he gestured towards Caesar.

"I never thought I would be training a Mizukai representative." Cedric said as he crossed his arms.

"Caesar Moon. Hm. I watched your match on Thursday last week." Cedric said to Caesar, "And I got to say, you were ass.

Your debut was absolutely terrible.

Showed up in an expensive gear and got an expensive ass whooping."

"Not to mention, the heat from the crowd was crazy... Damn.

Congratulations, young woman. You became the second most hated wrestler in one day." Cedric continued with a smile as he tilted his head to the right, "That's one hell of an accomplishment."

Caesar's demeanor became blank with the words of Cedric while he chuckled.

"Alright, that aside. There is something that has been bugging me about you in your debut. So I'm going to see it for myself." Cedric said, "I want you... "

"Tohitme, rightnow." Cedric continued with a disturbing grin.

Caesar being caught off guard with his request, slowly moved her head to the left.

"Huh?"

"You heard me. Hit me." Cedric said.

Caesar glanced at Balland and Balland subtly gestured through his face for her to do as Cedric requested, leading the beastfolk to sigh.

"Okay."

Caesar closed the distance between her and Cedric, balled up her right fist and swung across Cedric's face.

However at the moment her fist connected, Caesar stepped back and groaned in pain.

"Son of a...!"

Caesar clutched her knuckles and recalled a similar moment of the time she swung on Cardinal on her debut.

"What the hell are these people's faces made of?! Steel?!" Caesar asked in her mind.

While Caesar was still groaning, Cedric took a quick look at Balland and shook his head in disappointment.

Without a word or warning, Cedric grunted as he slammed his fist against Caesar's gut which made her cough out spittle.

Balland winced at the impact of the punch while Caesar laid folded on the ground, covering her belly while coughing out repeatedly.

"What the hell was that?! You call that a punch?!" Cedric asked, "I've met tons of EBW rookie women that hit far harder than you!"

Cedric extended his arm towards Caesar and Caesar stared at it for some seconds before taking it to stand on her feet.

"When you throw a punch, you don't just swing your arms! You got to use your hips! Your core!" Cedric said as he took his stance, "Otherwise you'd just be slapping people with your bone!

That's why your hand hurt in that match and against me."

"Gosh, I can't believe I have to teach you this." Cedric continued as he facepalmed himself, "This should be one of the basic knowledge in throwing a punch.

You ever been in a fight before?"

"A couple from work and a lot in the streets." Caesar answered.

"And yet you can't throw a proper punch? Yeah, I find that hard to believe." Cedric said, "Who are you brawling with? Toddlers?"

"Did you have some training in wrestling or any combat stuff?" Cedric asked as he crossed his arms.

"No." Caesar answered.

"Not even a Mizukai special or whatever, since they're your agents?" Cedric asked with an arched brow.

"Not one." Caesar answered again.

"Wow.... Just wow." Cedric said with a blank face.

"Looks like I gotta start from the scratch, huh?" Cedric said as he turned his back on Caesar while placing both arms round his waist, "You skipped Tough Enough and you got no training in any way.

All the Mizukais did was just dress you up, send you to the ring, look pretty and get your ass whooped.

They set you up to fail."

"Looks like money ain't everything, huh?" Cedric continued as he shook his head.

Caesar and Balland glanced at each other before returning their gaze back at Cedric.

"Anyway. You're obviously no stranger to EBW." Cedric said as he looked over his shoulder, "Even before you became an ero-wrestler, you've seen what we do on television and on the internet.

So I want you to be honest with me..."

"What do you think about EBW?" Cedric asked as he turned to lock eyes with Caesar.

"You want me to honest with you?" Caesar asked as she crossed her arms.

"You deaf now?" Cedric asked, "What do you think about the company? How you answer will determine how I should train you... If I should train you."

Caesar stared at Cedric for a while before she closed her eyes and sighed.

"Fine. It's a porn company pretending to a wrestling industry. That's all it is." Caesar answered.

"Damnit, Caesar!" Balland said in his mind as he facepalmed himself.

Hearing her answer, Cedric scowled at her deeply and slowly closed his fist, making an audible crunching sound in the process.

"Woah, Cedric." Balland said as he extended lowly extended his arm forward.

Cedric's scowl grew until he unexpectedly burst out in laughter, catching both Caesar and Balland off guard.

While Cedric's laughter boomed in the gym, Caesar subtly glanced at Balland and he shrugged his shoulders in response.

"That's a good one! That's a good one, right there!" Cedric said to Caesar.

"You know... Most of the guys I trained, a lot of them lied to my face, telling me what they think I wanted to hear, but this one didn't!" Cedric said to Balland.

"Caesar Moon! Because of your answer and honesty, I am going to teach you more than the basics of how to throw a punch." Cedric said to Caesar, "I am going to give you the tools of survival in this company."

Cedric continued laughing for a short period until his laughter finally died down.

"Anyway. I liked your honesty. I loved how you said what you really think about the company despite how you got in." Cedric said to Caesar, "A porn company pretending to be a wrestling industry.

That's the way outsiders see it. That's the way the world sees it. People who don't know a damn thing about this place."

"You may think we are all horny bastards and that's why we enrolled... Well, some are... Or were." Cedric said as he turned his back on the two to walk towards the ring, "But it's not that simple. Life ain't black and white, kid.

You see some people joined because they were too horny for their own good, and some to prove a point.

But the rest... Heh, they joined because they had nowhere else to go."

"People society rejected." Cedric continued as he placed his hands in his pockets, "People who have tried everything they could but nothing worked so as a last resort, they turned to this company in desperation to fend for themselves or their loved ones.

Fathers, mothers, aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers..."

"Elder sisters." Cedric said as Caesar slowly tilted her head down.

"Don't get this twisted though, what we do here isn't noble, it's disgusting." Cedric continued speaking as he stood close to the ring, "To the outside world, this ring is filthy, but to us, it's food, shelter and medicine."

"A second chance at survival." Cedric said as he brought his head down, "Now even though you came in here through a different method, something tells me you're in here for a similar purpose..."

"That you're one of us." Cedric said as he glanced at Caesar with a smile.

Hearing those words, Caesar raised her head in astonishment.

Cedric then step into the ring and extended his arm forward.

"Get in. Let's get you started." Cedric said with a grin.
